Saturday 08.31 Jenn/Gus

Manager Communication: Great night. Matthew (Lead, not a manager), Carly and Jared really helped me out with a few POS things. Still picking up some of the things and everyone has been very accommodating. GS Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Solid crew. I've never worked somewhere where the expo is suppose to read upside down, but I tried my best to accomodate for Lydia and Bryan. Good duo, great customer service. FOH Staff Observations:  I was covering Lobby this afternoon, and Matthew rang in a Negroni, but then asked to sub bourbon for gin.  I let him know that we were unable to accommodate that request, and the guest could order a Boulevardier at Trees Lounge if they would like.  He was receptive, but seemed very confused about why the substitution couldn't be made.  Honestly, I think he may not have known what a Negroni is, so could we include a note in the next server email for servers to familiarize themselves with the drinks on the theater menu? JH ...

Friday 08.30 Jenn/Gus/Ariel

Manager Communication: Cool night at the movies. Was smooth and chill. Event was fun and the crew was great. Nice solid shift. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Everyone was great tonight! Tevon batched us up and got out. Darius helped out for the event and when we were coolin’ we got him out of here. Gabrielle held it down in Lobby solo and we closed Tree’s with Natasha and Matthew. - AB2 Special Events: Chenelle was in the building. The event was smooth and chill. Was a good time. -AB2 Staff Meeting Agenda notes:  We should make a schedule for cleaning the sugar containers at Bar Prep, as they can get a little rough looking. JH I agree. I cleaned the sugar containers quickly and ran the plastic through dish. Was a nice quick clean so definitely can be better but is currently presentable. - AB2 86ed / counts on items:   Evil Twin (I saw we had ordered it, but didn't see anything in the walk-in- I hooked up a keg with no label but was the same make of keg, we pulled one, must have...

Thursday 08.29 Jenn

BAR Staff Observations:  Since numbers were low, I reached out to Darius to offer him a cut, as he had picked up Natasha's shift.  He took the cut and we ran with two bartenders at each bar without issue. Patrick and Tevon opened both bars to a quiet first round, and I was able to get Tevon out of here once closers were in and we got ahead of some batching.  Bryan held down Lobby solo, and emptied and cleaned the FWWM tumbler that keeps overfreezing.  Matthew and Patrick got through the big theaters dinner push, and Patrick was going to get out of here once the last Th1 service rush died down.  Sick Leave/ Call outs:  Gus let us know this morning that he was feeling very unwell, and was able to get to a doctor.  He believes he will be well enough to come in tomorrow.  Paul moved Gus' closing shift to Sick and I'm going to stick around until 9:00pm to give bar coverage during the dinner rounds. Prep List:  We will need to make an Old Fashione...

Wednesday 08.28.24 Dana/Gus/Ariel

Manager Communication: Chill Wednesday night at the hawk! Bartenders crushed it. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Got Gabrielle out when dinner round settled and stock was done in Trees and Lobby. Got Matthew out when TH2 "But I'm a Cheerleader" rush settled and Trees was nice and stocked up. Closed with Kelsey (Lobby) Tevon (Tree's). - AB2 Tevon was a lil bummed because his schedule said he was closing Lobby but also Kelsey's did too. He learned that he was closing Tree's when he got here. I understand his reasoning for being slightly bummed. - AB2 Special Events? The Cheerleader movie had a solid lil crowd before and after the screening. - AB2 Prep List: Matthew knocked out a lot of syrups to get us back up for the week now that the new induction cooker is in. -DL  We should probably do a couple N/A Spritz's tomorrow and should be getting in the Cherry liquor so we can do more Tornado W. - AB2 Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: The new induction cooker arrived...

Tuesday 08.27.24 / Jenn, Gus & Ariel / NPP Bar

Manager Communication:  We got the freezer in today! Jenn told Stewart that we will be taking out the puree's and putting em in our deep freeze when it is up to temperature. I will be keeping an eye all night and if it is still not at freezing temperature when I'm done can y'all please be aware of it for tomorrow. I'll be in closing so I can also have eyes as well. - AB2  I never ended up bringing anything into the new freezer but I think it should be good to go tomorrow. I will do it when I get in if opener does not have time. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Cut Lydia when Darius was done batching/TH1 Dinner Round (Summer of Sam) settled. Cut Darius after Late round settled. Closed with Maya (Lobby) & Patrick (Trees). Everyone crushed it tonight! - AB2 86ed / counts on items: I put a count on Al's N/A Beer (18) - AB2 Prep List: Darius did prep today. He prepped us up with... - Fleur - N/A Spritz - Simple Syrup - Espresso Martini - The Butcher - 2x Fire Walk - Lem...

Monday 08.26 Jenn/Gus

Manager Communication: Really chill night. Great communication. Jenn left very clear insturctions and Carly & Nathaniel were very helpful during my first live shift.  Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Patrick was late due to catastrophic train issues, but he was communicative throughout and it was totally cool. Only reporting for transparency sake, but no further action to take place. Bryan rules. He's such an amicable worker. Really gets it. Lydia and Patrick work well together. Darius' also a really good dude and knows his way around the place quite well - GS FOH Staff Observations:  Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Deep cleaning projects, potential hires -GS 86ed / counts on items: Prep List: Darius would have been the prep guy, there was little to be done, he is also going to be the prep guy tomorrow and opted to do them both tomorrow Def will need: N/A Spritzer  The Butcher (we were on the fence) Over/Short on Banks: No Pay Outs: No Lost & Found?: Order...

Sunday 08.25.24 Dana/Ariel

Manager Communication: Chill first round. Catfest had a good crowd drinking but the morning was spent mostly prepping for later. Natasha went straight to batching to get us ahead on some key product and knocked out some syrups in the kitchen since our induction cooker is still down. Miguel was able to get out as soon as Tevon got in and Natasha left not long behind that. Bryan rocked lobby solo without any issues. -DL Was able to get Tevon out around 8:00. Closed Tree's with Jeshua and Lobby with Darius. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Chillin'. Everyone did there thing. No complaints. - AB2 Sick Leave/ Call outs: Kelsey contacted me yesterday saying she was not feeling well and was looking for coverage. Natasha was able to cover it and was cool with being an early cut with these low numbers. -DL  Special Events? Some Volo peeps came in today but was only like a table or 2. Not many people at all really. - AB2 Prep List: Natasha batched up... - 2x Arbol Tequila - 3x Lemonade -...

Saturday 08.24 Jenn

Manager Communication:  Summer slowdown has officially landed, which meant both bars had plenty of time to get themselves reset and ready for Saturday service.  Theaters kept the service passes bopping, but Trees never really developed a crowd throughout the day, mostly couples and small groups.  BAR Staff Observations:  Honestly, you would think Bryan has been working here for months with how easily he has stepped into service.  Natasha and Matthew held down Trees for the first round like the pros they are, and then Matthew was able to get some batching done before I got Natasha out of here when Gabrielle got in.  Easygoing daytime crew, that are consistently on top of communication between bars.  Which was a trend that followed into evening service, where Gabrielle, Lydia, and Patrick were able to rotate positions as needed, and Jeshua holding down Lobby solo once Matthew got out of here after the fourth round Th3 screening settled. Sick Leave/ Call ...

Friday 08.23.24 Jenn/Gus/Dana/Ariel (full house friday)

Manager Communication: Smooth sailin' tonight. Lots of teamwork on all ends. Bartenders, Servers, and Runners. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Everyone was great tonight. Was able to get Darius out of here early. Tevon got out after batching. Matthew was done after last round settled. Gabrielle closed Lobby and Natasha closed Tree's. - AB2 FOH Staff Observations: Jovani crushed it tonight. Raekwon, Bre, Brendan, Quetzie, Michael, Juliana, and Vinny all did their thing tonight. Was smooth and chillin' with a great server squad. - AB2 Staff Meeting Agenda notes:  Grimm is on all menus, up on the draught lists at Trees, and in service for the rest of the season. JH Prep List: Tevon batched us up with - Fleur - N/A Spritz - 2x Fire Walk - 2x Lemonade - PST Concentrate - Bloody Mix - 1/2 batch of Tornado (we only had 16oz BO Juice and I used Luxardo instead of our usual cherry liquor (because we are out) and we did a little teetering for this batch but we have.   I batched an Ol...

Thursday 08/22 Dana/Gus/Ariel

Manager Communication :  Solid chill night. We got through everything really smooth. -AB2  Gus cleaned out behind one of the low boys in Lobby. He was able to get some stank and gunk out. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations :  Everyone killed it tonight. I was able to get Jeshua out of here really early. Once Natasha got here I cut Jeshua. Patrick was cut afterwards once Matthew finished batching and a stock list was done. Matthew was cut after final round settled. Closed Trees with Natasha and closed Lobby with Bryan. -AB2 Bryan was extremely helpful troubleshooting and looking up the manual for the frozens downstairs. He took the back part out and removed the temperature gauge and reapplied it to see if we would have any luck… It seemed good on my way out. But take a look tomorrow to see how it’s doing. He had a later out time because of this. - AB2 FOH Staff Observations :  All of the Superstars were out tonight! We had Erika, Rebecca, Bre, Jovani, Michael, Brendan, Raek...

Wednesday 08.21.24 Jenn/Gus/Ariel

Manager Communication :  Quick note on the lobby sodas. Gabrielle made a suggestion that we should have cans of each soda so when this does happen we can just pull those out. I agree. It sucks using the 2 quarts for sodas because they are going to go flat quicker and we won’t waste as much product because not everything is going to sell. -AB2 Chill night. Nothing crazy going on. Princess Monoke sold out and we were good with Matthew and Bryan. - AB2 Fruit and garnishes were not top notch. Garnishes did not look good and fruit was sub par. We can definitely give extra care in this department and if the opening bartender is busy or does not have time to grab such things I think we should be willing to grab mint and other fruit to prepare them for success. - AB2 Cue The Montage garnish is running low. Once 86'd Gus and I decided to just call it with no garnish because it is only live for one more day. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Kelsey held it down in Lobby and then moved up to Tree...

Tuesday 08.20 Jenn/Gus/Dana

Manager Communication: Trivia had a great turn out but not as large as recent weeks. Outside of Trees everything was pretty mellow. Spent most of the day checking maintenance issues at both bars. -DL Cleanslate was here when arrived and fixed the dishwasher at Trees. He said it was not pulling solution even though another tech said it was previously. All the glassware was coming out nice and shiny today. -DL  Special Events? Trivia had good vibes tonight. -DL Staff Meeting Agenda notes:  Five Boroughs stopped by to drop off some samples and a pricing sheet.  Will loop in Edgar for potential menu draught line swaps. JH New table numbers arrived.  Put them out on the tables for Trivia tonight to help out the runners. JH 86ed / counts on items: Ruby NA. -Contacted Ruby Wellness once again today in search of our missing shipment. No word back as of yet. -DL  Prep List: Should make Cotton candy grape syrup. Everything is in a cambro in the walkin. We could make i...

Monday 08.19 Jenn

Manager Communication:  Steady build into the dinner round, with a pretty decent turnout for a Monday. Trees was quiet today, but got a nice crowd once the third round began.    BAR Staff Observations:   Easygoing night, with Lydia helping out up at Trees while Tevon got us caught up on batching. Once we were set, Lydia was able to get out of here and Tevon was gone once the dinner round settled at Trees. Jeshua and Darius were each handling both bars without issue when I left.    Sick Leave/ Call outs:  Dana had to call out this morning as he was feeling unwell.  I came in a little early so that Carly wouldn't have to open the building alone.  Jess updated 7Shifts.  I spoke to Dana this evening, and he said that he is all set to come in for his closing shift tomorrow.  86ed / counts on items:  86'd Ruby N/A Wine.  Prep List:  Baldor shorted us a case of tangerine juice today, so we should get started on Ecto Chiller ...

Sunday / 8.18.24 Ariel / NPP Bar

Manager Communication: Smooth day so far. Was a lil busy but nothing crazy here. Ice machine was on and off in Tree's all day barely pumping out ice and was off at the start of service (before I got in). Tevon turned it on when he got in. It has been slow on ice since then. As of now, it has been pumping out ice but is real low. - AB2 Customer Comments: There was an odd dude that came into Tree's. He purchased a movie ticket in lobby and Miguel thought he seemed fine and then he was rolling around on the ground with a medicine ball... This is when he came up to Tree's. He asked Tevon what standard of time it was and what time PST is at? He asked Tevon for what seemed like 10 times (in his words). Paul came over and spoke to the guy for a bit. To sum it up he pretty much told him "stop acting weird" and that he was drunk but he was just an odd dude. Maybe 10 minutes later homie started acting weird by seeming like he was about to eat his ticket... Paul came back an...

Saturday 08.17.24 Jenn/Gus/Ariel

Manager Communication:  Cinema events dominated the first round in regards to sales, and then second round mellowed out around the building.  Third and fourth round ticket sales steadily grew throughout service. JH Last round of TH1 had an issue with tickets around the beginning of the rush. No tickets were printed for the initial rush and it is hard to know/calculate how long nothing printed for. The servers caught notice after several guests made complaints. I did not get an exact number of how many were not made but they expressed "a lot like between 10-20 tickets." I was at Tree's at around 9:50-10:10 and there was a big ticket push happening. I guess that was after the situation. Servers guessed that it could have been that we needed to change the printer paper but that was not the issue (We had plenty) and then I suggested that maybe we were off sockets for a moment. They said that that was not the case either. I honestly do not know what it could be. I spoke with a...

Friday 08.16.24 Jenn/Gus/Ariel

Manager Communication:  Really mellow first round, but second round definitely picked up in terms of ticket sales. Alien: Romulus is doing okay in the bigger theaters, so hopefully that keeps up over the weekend. JH Gangsta... Everyone today... Gangsta... Loved it! Once Natasha clocked in I had Tevon batch and moved Patrick to Tree's because I felt more confident having Gabrielle solo down there. - AB2 Customer Comments: Homie Michael (dude that Dana recently had to kick out for making Lydia uncomfortable and what not) was at the bar and ordered a beer. I saw it was him and told Dwight to kick him out and he did. Homie was NOT happy about it. He left saying "FUCK ALL Y'ALL." Fun way to start the shift with a little confrontation. It was chill. Dwight knows who he is but also if anyone else see's him just refuse to serve him is all. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Tevon hooked us up with batching and was cut after doing a restock. Gabrielle was cut after Patrick res...

Thursday / 08.15.24 Jenn & Ariel / NPP Bar

Manager Communication: Solid smooth day. TH3 had issues and we ended up having a nice lil pop in Tree's because of it. - AB2 Customer Comments: There was a subtle issue with 3 guests (1 party) in Tree's. 3 ladies had 3 separate orders. They all had a burger (each made differently) and one with a Greek Salad. Sal/Torre was having a problem because he brought a different burger out than what came with the burger. They were all confused and we ended up getting to the bottom of and they were cool. Matthew put in all their burgers correctly but they were confused by how things were ran out. I do not think Sal did anything wrong but I wish I knew earlier because I would have brought everything out and just said "This is your burger, This is your burger, and this is your burger." Just something to keep in mind for when we see a runner run a big order to keep an eye/help out if possible. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Everyone was great tonight. Darius was cut early due to it ...

Wednesday 08.14 Jenn

Manager Communication:  Spent most of my day in bar prep, and both bars handled service without issue.  Easygoing day with plenty of well-sold theaters to keep all three floors busy.  BAR Staff Observations:  Both bars were prepped and ready for service well before I got in at three, and bartenders sailed through service without issue.  With Gus as an extra pair of hands, Trees did not need any extra support from Lobby, which allowed Gabrielle and Kelsey to focus on the dinner rush and restocking glassware.  Gus and Matthew stuck around until the initial service push from Crooklyn had settled down, and Kelsey swung up after closing Lobby to help Jeshua with the Crooklyn crowd after the screening finished.  Hiring/Training:  Gus trailed Matthew for a Trees Lounge open today, and got a full shift behind the bar.  He seemed pretty comfortable behind the bar, and was able to get a feel for how we prep each service station for service.  He ...

Tuesday 08.13.24 / Dana & Ariel / NPP

Manager Communication: First round was quiet with not many walkins. This helped after the openers had a slight delay. Everything was set up and ready rock right after doors. -DL The frozen machine at Lobby bar wasn't properly put together so it leaked product and needed to be disassembled. Causing the FWWM not freezing up until after doors. -DL BAR Staff Observations: Darius was 20 mins late due to the trains. He's rarely late so I gave him talk about it but did not mark it in his file. Maya was great at helping Trees get set up in time for opening and minimizing any delay. -DL Natasha had some train trouble and was rushing out of her other job and because of numbers, I decided to cut her today. We managed well with 3 bartenders. I deleted her shift from 7shifts. - AB2 Hiring/Training: Gus trailed - DL 86ed / counts on items: Pinot Grigio -86 Saratoga Sparkling on count. Will arrive with US Food tomorrow. -DL Prep List: Darius handled our batch prep and rocked Dana's lis...

Monday 08.12 Jenn/Gus

Manager Communication:  Easygoing Monday evening, with the second round Deadpool in Th1 leading sales for the night.  Twisters, It Ends With Us, and Longlegs all continue to fill out the smaller theaters pretty consistently. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Once closers were in,  Lydia swung upstairs to take lead at the service pass to get us through the second round rush.  Once the second round theaters had settled, both Darius and Lydia were able to get out of here.  Bryan and Jeshua closed each bar without issue, and Gus was able to walk through checkout reports and cleaning the frozen machines at both bars. JH Hiring/Training:  Gus had his first day today, which involved a lot of me talking and him learning the geography of the building.  I've noted some items on the training guide that will need to be covered tomorrow, but he seems to have a pretty good handle on the broader strokes of service at Nitehawk.  He was able to tray up some drinks...

Sunday 8.11.24 / Ariel & Dana / NPP Bar

Manager Communication: Kelsey texted me late last night saying she was not feeling well. No one was able to cover so we're just going to thug it out today for first round. I marked her shift as sick in 7shifts. - AB2 So an update... We thugged it out in Trees. Miggy and I handled business and it was pretty chill I must say. - AB2 Calm evening. Bryan was able to stay a bit late to help cover in Kelsey's absent. Tevon was able to cut out a bit before his scheduled time as he came in a bit earlier for added support. -DL BAR Staff Observations: Miggy was awesome in Tree's today. Bryan is THE DUDE!!! Homie BODIED solo lobby like he's been doin' it for 5 years. He has such a helpful attitude and willing to do whatever it takes to make the shift go by easier. All of his walkie calls were warranted and none were unnecessary. Gangsta boogie for sure. - AB2 FOH Staff Observations: Even with her not feeling too well Ericka was great as normal. -DL Sick Leave/ Call outs: Kels...

Saturday 08.10 Jenn/Dana

Manager Communication:  CatVideoFest continues to sell out, and All About My Mother was close behind in sales, so I would expect much the same tomorrow morning.  It was beautiful outside, and no big releases landed this week, so we definitely saw a dip in ticket sales, but this really gave us the time to reset and restock steadily throughout the day. JH Calm but busy day if that's a thing. The last round for Th 1 4 and 6 were all close together and sold out however the bartenders never got backed up. Lydia was a great support to Gab on service bar while Tevon took lead at taking care of the guest. -DL  BAR Staff Observations:  Super smooth service today, Bryan and Natasha absolutely set each bar up for success.  Bryan has a really good handle of service at Lobby Bar, and said he feels like he's settled in to opening/closing both bars.  Matthew and Tevon helped Trees get through some service pops, and then Tevon got us batched up for dinner service. JH FOH...

Friday 08.09 Jenn/Dana

Manager Communication: Busy night with a lot of busy theaters all going off relevantly close together. The team was able to really push through no issues at either bar. -DL  BAR Staff Observations: Today was Ian's last day working at Nitehawk and he was working as if he was trying to get a promotion. Will absolutely miss his work ethic and knowledge behind the bar. He earned one more token on his way out. -DL FOH Staff Observations: The team in 4/6 killed it today. Lashae, Erika, Misha and Jose were all extremely attentive and present at the service pass to grab and run drinks upstairs. -DL 86ed / counts on items: Interboro Bigger Boat is 86'd for good. It was a promotion for only a limited time and we ran through inventory way faster than expected. Will be switching to another beer this week to fill the void. -DL Prep List: Should focus on making syrups early in the day tomorrow. -DL Lost & Found?: Plenty of umbrellas. -DL Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:  Baldor arrivi...

Thursday 08/08 Dana/Ariel

Manager Communication: Rain kept the beginning of the day pretty mellow. Spent the morning tidying up the walkin and arranging kegs. Let's make sure the orders get put away as soon as possible so nothing gets over looked as there was a keg of Ebbs underneath some boxes when I came in. -DL BAR Staff Observations: Ian opened with no issues and was able to cut his own fruit while Gabrielle handled lobby. Gab was not feeling well today but still came in and opened fine and with Patrick coming in for his last day of training tonight we should be able to get her out pretty early. I also want to give Gab a shoutout for her customer service on how she give guests guidance to their movie and the system here in general. She takes that extra time out to help all the grandparents and parents and first time guest understand how things operate here for their best experience. -DL Hiring/Training: I am a big fan of Patrick. He has been a bartender for a while now and it shows. He just gets it. H...

Wednesday 08.07 Jenn

Manager Communication:  Pretty mellow start, but both second and third rounds had plenty of guests in theaters who were looking to drink throughout.  Kept Trees service pass busy all the way to last call, and plenty of guests at the bar throughout the evening. Pretty busy for a Wednesday night overall. BAR Staff Observations:  Really great team tonight, especially Darius up at Trees who kept up with a pretty full bar and non-stop service pass in the later rounds.  Once Jeshua got in, Miguel was able to swing upstairs and help Trees with the dinner push, and stayed with Darius when Matthew went to get some batching done. 86ed / counts on items: Ruby on a count (7). 86'd Ebbs, until our next delivery comes in.  Prep List:  We should make another Old Fashioned keg as soon as we get our Rittenhouse delivery.  I destemmed 2lbs of mint, which is enough to makea single batch of Strawberry Mint Syrup, which we should make tomorrow.  Cotton Candy Grapes ar...

Tuesday 08.06 Jenn/Dana

Manager Communication: Trees began to fill up before trivia and kept rocking all the way until Trivia ended. Rain definitely kept people packed here until the end. Swung Patrick upstair for the beginning of Trivia so he could get a sense of the setup change compared to a regular Tuesday night shift. -DL  BAR Staff Observations: Even though Darius isn’t a lead he does a great job at leading the newer members of the team. He gives great guidance and really knows the Nitehawk bar system. -DL Hiring/Training: Patrick got trained in closing Lobby and more into filmbot with Ian. They had a some large crowds come in due to the rain and Cinema event. -DL Special Events? Trivia was great tonight. We used the cards instead of tokens because we gave them to the host before we received the tokens. Guest and host didn’t mind. -DL Over/Short on Banks: Lobby was $9 short Trees was $5 over  Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:  Stumptown arrived today.  US Foods arriving tomorrow. JH U...

Monday 08/05 Dana

Manager Communication: Smooth day. The bar team held it down for the opening until arrived around 3. Once the closers got in Tevon swung to the back and knock out a long batch list to get us all caught up after an extremely busy weekend.  Customer Comments: I refuse to serve an older gentleman named Michael today. It was brought to my attention that he has come here multiple times and made suggestive and disrespectful comment to women on the staff. Lydia recognized him from a couple of Saturdays ago where he made Natasha feel uncomfortable. When I approached him to get a temperature check on him I took his drink order and asked him if he was okay as I poured the beer. His response was super defensive and aggressive as he asked if I was a physician because only physicians should ask this. At that point I removed the beer and he caught the hint to just leave the bar. Nick is aware of how he looks and should clearly not be served here again. BAR Staff Observations: Bryan is doing g...

Sunday 08.04 Jenn

Manager Communication:  Busy Sunday, but staff seemed well equipped to deal with it, even being down a bar manager this morning.  Trees continues to get really great crowds during these busier weekends, and the torrential downpours of August only serve to keep more people here post-movie.  BAR Staff Observations:  Tevon did a really great job taking lead on delegating restocks and staffing before I came in at 1:00pm.  Miguel ran Patrick through the ins and outs of a weekend lobby open, and everyone was happily grooving away all morning.   Kelsey has really stepped her ability when it comes to leading the service pass, which is great to see.  And Bryan was so in-step with busy service pushes and restocks this evening that you wouldn't believe he had just started training in July, he really gets what needs to be a priority and when.   Both Darius and Jeshua showed up ready to close, and I gave them an overview of the rest of the evening as...

Saturday 08.03 Jenn/Dana

Manager Communication:  Opened up with lots of guests for back-to-back seatings of CatVideoFest and ST&B, and the day kept up the pace from there.  Trees had a great crowd throughout the day, plenty of people hanging out after the special screenings. JH Oh. It was a fun night. Between the fire alarm, the internet issue and several busy rounds happening all at once everyone worked like superstar and pushed through giving support to whoever needed. The FOH blog will have a lot more info of the night. -DL  BAR Staff Observations:  Bryan did a fantastic job down in Lobby today, handling ticketing without issue, and only ever called for help with regards to stocking glassware.  Natasha and Matthew navigated a very crowded bar and busy service pass, and Natasha did a great opening stock so they only needed minimal restocks before Ian got in and was able to get us batched back up on some product. JH FOH Staff Observations:  Took the note from the suggestion b...

Friday 08.02 Jenn/Dana

Manager Communication:  Had a steady ramp up to the start of service, as both large theaters had later openings, which really gave both bars time to set up for the very busy second round.  Once we got to 5:45pm, the bar had filled up with plenty of PSP folks, as well as other guests, and all theaters were either sold out or close to it.  The Olympics are definitely an excuse for people to hang around Trees after their movie, so it's been great having them on during service. JH Both Trees and Lobby bar got busy around 6pm due to the rain and multiple sold out theaters opening up. Gabrielle absolutely crushed it downstairs solo as Tevon batched. Ian, Matthew and Natasha rocked Trees as Patrick gave the three of them support where ever needed. -DL BAR Staff Observations: Whole bar team did great. Gabrielle stands out tonight with a positive attitude, welcoming voice, and fast service. -DL FOH Staff Observations: Barnaby was a great support throughout the building tonight. ...

Thursday 08.01 Dana

Manager Communication: Busy cleanup day after not having a bar manager yesterday. Just a note that when beer kegs are delivered, the drivers must pick up the empties in order to clear space and be reimbursed   BAR Staff Observations: Ian seemed to be in a great mood today. literally a ray of sunshine behind the bar all shift.  FOH Staff Observations: Big shoutout to the servers and the runners constantly bringing racks of glassware to lobby bar. Every time I was on my way to do it someone had just grabbed them. Especialy Erech.  Hiring/Training: Patrick had his first day of training today with of Matthew and Natasha. Looks like he got the hang of things pretty quick and you can tell he has plenty of experience. I did note that he has some old habits that he will need to lose to for service. Matthew's only feedback was that he needs to learn the ins and outs of Nitehawk which is understandable for any day one trainee Special Events? Spoons was pretty mellow tonigh...
