Monday 08.12 Jenn/Gus



Manager Communication: 
Easygoing Monday evening, with the second round Deadpool in Th1 leading sales for the night.  Twisters, It Ends With Us, and Longlegs all continue to fill out the smaller theaters pretty consistently. JH

BAR Staff Observations: 
Once closers were in,  Lydia swung upstairs to take lead at the service pass to get us through the second round rush.  Once the second round theaters had settled, both Darius and Lydia were able to get out of here.  Bryan and Jeshua closed each bar without issue, and Gus was able to walk through checkout reports and cleaning the frozen machines at both bars. JH

Hiring/Training: 
Gus had his first day today, which involved a lot of me talking and him learning the geography of the building.  I've noted some items on the training guide that will need to be covered tomorrow, but he seems to have a pretty good handle on the broader strokes of service at Nitehawk.  He was able to tray up some drinks during the Th1 service push, and kept up with the pace no problem. JH

Special Events?
The BRIC Skip the Line event has been moved to this Wednesday, 08.14. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Stumptown arriving tomorrow. JH   

US Foods arriving on Wednesday.  White Cranberry Juice for the N/A Spritzer will arrive with this delivery. JH

Maintenance: 
Ice machine at Trees made some weird noises tonight, but seemed to be working fine after a reset. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
