Thursday 08/08 Dana/Ariel



Manager Communication:
Rain kept the beginning of the day pretty mellow. Spent the morning tidying up the walkin and arranging kegs. Let's make sure the orders get put away as soon as possible so nothing gets over looked as there was a keg of Ebbs underneath some boxes when I came in. -DL

BAR Staff Observations:
Ian opened with no issues and was able to cut his own fruit while Gabrielle handled lobby. Gab was not feeling well today but still came in and opened fine and with Patrick coming in for his last day of training tonight we should be able to get her out pretty early. I also want to give Gab a shoutout for her customer service on how she give guests guidance to their movie and the system here in general. She takes that extra time out to help all the grandparents and parents and first time guest understand how things operate here for their best experience. -DL

Hiring/Training:
I am a big fan of Patrick. He has been a bartender for a while now and it shows. He just gets it. He simply understands how a bar works which is very nice considering most bar staff we get here came from a serving background/being new to the game. TH1/2 had a nice lil busy round. I asked if he has done the service bar yet... The response was no so I wanted to throw him in there for a busy Theater round to see what he's got. He did well. I was directing him through certain motions of the push but considering that it was his first time... I can easily see him becoming a strong bartender at the pass. His mistakes were very subtle with examples being minor miscommunications, incorrect garnish, and toping something off with soda that does not require it. Homie's great. - AB2

Prep List:
Southern will arrive tomorrow so we should make an Old Fash keg as soon as it comes in. Truck had an issue today so it got pushed back. -DL

Ian got us batched up nice with everything on Dana's list. - AB2

Nathaniel handled the Tree's drawer thang for today. Notes of that are in the FOH blog. - AB2

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Rebecca from 12% has informed me that they have to spilt our order into 2. So tomorrow we will get 2 kegs of Evil Twin and the other 2 I order will arrive on Monday. There will be 2 separate invoices so something to look out for. -DL

Maintenance:
Follow up with Coca Cola about the leaking gun. Looks like they thought it was resolved since they just fixed it so I filed a new ticket. We should get a tech within 48 hours. New ticket #26125349. -DL

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
