Manager Communication: Got in a little early to escort the NuCo man through to the equipment - notes on that below in the maintenance section. Got a big baldor order put away after NuCo left, and also reorganized the walk-in and played keg Jenga. The walk-in looks lovely now. I also cleaned the machines and checked out the Fro-Co that was over-freezing - unsure why it is doing this, but it continues to act up. Switching between cold and slush intermittently is the only short term fix I can think of at the moment - the bar team is aware, and hopefully when Spidermania calms down I can give it a proper look-see.  After all that, Becca and I opened up - first round was relatively mellow. - IP The second round was busy at both bars, but the screenings were staggered in a way that each bar was busy when the other was more mellow, which made for a very smooth service.  Spider-Man , The Odyssey , + The Invite continue to sell out their last round screenings. JH BAR Staff Observatio...

Manager Communication:  Really great tasting today with only a few of our best bartenders in attendance, but we hashed out some directions we want to go in. Gus showed up to give his best advice, nice lovely surprise. Things are coming together nicely. -LB Busy, busy throughout the building for the dinner round, with the exception of Th1.  Having a pretty mellow second and third round in Th1 tonight definitely made the service pass a little bit easier to navigate.  Trees was pretty bopping all evening, up until about ten or so.   The Odyssey still selling out those small theaters, so those seatings can definitely sneak up on the service pass. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Matthew Soler is a bartending God. -LB  Jeshua was all set at lobby bar once he got a restock in, so I had Sam float up to Trees to help Gabrielle + Matthew.  Was able to get Matthew off the floor and back to the liquor room to finish up the rest of the bar prep list, and Sam stuc...

Manager Communication: So unfortunately NuCo did not make it to us today. I spoke to Gus today. He is doing well, he said they came by last Tuesday and messed with our nitrogen unit.  Then the issue happened on Wednesday with our drafts all going flat. So they switched to the back up tank, which they thought was CO2.  I harassed them every few hours for a new eta. I told them I wanted to be here when they arrived tomorrow so they will come tomorrow between 12-2.  I hope the gas level holds us til tomorrow.-LB  Everything held up fine for tonight's service. Hopefully NuCo will show up tomorrow and get everything hunky dory. Another night of deft management from the whole team. Jared's anticipation and handling of the A/C outage in theater 5 was beautifully executed by Christine and Becca while we were absolutely weeded at Trees lounge with a packed Trivia and sold out 1's and 2's all night. - IP BAR Staff Observations: Bar team still functioning at a pace and skill le...

Monday 8/3/26 Lauren/Ian

Manager Communication: I spoke with NuCo, it seems we may have a Nitrogen problem and not a CO2 problem as the back up tank we switched over to is a Nitrogen tank and not a CO2 tank. They will be sending a tech out to help figure this out. The readings are not correct on the box so it seems like the leak could be between the tank and the mix box. It did seem like we needed CO2 anyway as they delivered 70 lbs more than expected, but hopefully we can get to the bottom of this and I will surely ask them more questions than they prefer to answer.-LB We are out of menus at Lobby bar, we were down to 1 and now we have zero. I feel like we need to attach it to a 2 by 4 like a key for a coffee shop bathroom. Anyway, I don't think I will have time to get to this if anyone has the bandwidth to track down some empty menus and print/stuff for Lobby bar. -LB It was an extraordinarily busy Monday night at Trees lounge. Theaters were almost totally sold out, and the Darkroom Series and screening ...

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened. Preparing for another big day, as our two prize stallions continue to totally pack the building. Got a good team on today - we should be ready for action. - IP I broke out two cases of rocks glasses and 10 new trays. Trays have been in short supply with all of these sold out theaters.-LB So it has been a night of challenges. I think that everyone that worked this weekend is a little exhausted in many senses. The sold out Theater 2 at 10:05pm on a Sunday night really was icing on the cake.  Bar team manages pretty seamlessly in these situations but Jeshua needed Duan to stick around late to help restock and help close. Solidly bartending through 10:45pm on a Sunday is irregular. So he is quite behind on his close. Lobby bar had a pipe break off under the bar and this time it was not Darius' fault there was water all over the floor, but man was he quick to get that shit off the floor. -LB Michael was a huge help and put together the new sod...

Manager Communication:   In the rare occasion we run out of CO2, we should add that stuff to the standards guide. As I am just a little unsure putting it back together.-LB NuCo came and refilled out main tank, we do need to reach out and talk to them about getting a full back up tank. I will also try to fill out the protocol for the SOP manual next week since there is nothing in there for this very rare situation.-LB Just slam city all night. Everyone was turnin' and burnin'. Pre-bussing was on point. Servers never let any drinks back up for any of the sold out shows. Everyone stepped up to the business levels. - IP BAR Staff Observations: Natasha and Danny make quick work of back to back busy theaters. Like a light breeze blowing through.-LB Jeshua was over 30 minutes late for his shift. I will be issuing his write up tomorrow. For the record, I think Natasha was just about 30 minutes late for her shifts as well. She was not clocked in at 9:30. When I went down to drop the ban...

Friday 07.31.26 Jenn/Ariel NPP Bar

Manager Communication: I took down a couple signs in the Liquor room. I think that they can be easily misinterpreted and that it doesn't have the best look with the message it gives out. Filling Sani buckets are important but it doesn't require all this. We have staff trying to unionize and are constantly looking for things to make us look bad and I do not want to add to that negative PR. We gotta chill a bit on the signs because they come across as condescending and passive aggressive. It feels more like a high school in here than a space where adults work. - AB2 Natasha refused to give a guest a 1&1 in a tall glass. She told me that he was bummed to be told this but that it was policy. Sorry if I missed something but is this the case? In all honesty, I don't think it makes much sense to not allow a guest to have more soda/mixer with their liquor. Can I get clarity on if this is a policy we have and why so that I can be consistent with the rest of management. - AB2 I o...
