Manager Communication:  I made a double batch size O-ren recipe and put it in the bar binder alongside the single one-LB Great Tuesday all around. Had a good bar meeting, went right into a nice and bustling evening service - punctuated by the massive success of the Rock Doc screening. Having Greg in at 8:30 was absolutely perfect. He, Tevon and Darius all work really well together. - IP Customer Comments: Old Rock'n'Rollers are the best guests. Punctual, respectful, pay in cash, drink beers and shots and tip generously. Any time we want to have rock and roll after parties bring 'em on! - IP BAR Staff Observations: Staffing was brilliant today. Lydia handles the lobby great. Tevon is one of if not the best at getting the bar set up for success to start the day. Darius comes in and makes sure of the same for his half of the shift. Manager Communication:  **OPENING BAR MANAGER: GET ARBOL TEQUILA STEEPING FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING PLEASE! THANK YOU (the bars are stocked and there is a full 12qt of Firewalk in the walk-in, but we'll need more Arbol Tequila to batch more)! - <3 IAN ** I had to discard the Sugar snap pea syrup from 4/3/26. I made an enormous batch because Baldor made an error and we got a big box of free snap peas. The syrup looked fine, but there were small spores on the lid. I will order smaller format of snap peas going forward and we won't have this issue.-LB FYI I changed the garnish on Orchid thief to regular orchid. Not freezer. They got snowed over. -LB Another very busy nite at the Hawk punctuated by some very difficult guests. Manager Communication: Crazy busy right from the jump. Stock levels were good behind bars, but I made backup FWWM and Lemonade for the walk-in right when I got in. Plenty of DWP2 special - rationing the lemon juice in case we need more lemonade - however, Chef Jared let me know we are welcome to a six pack of 32oz lemon juice bottles they have in the kitchen if we need them in a pinch. - IP Customer Comments: Some wild lobby action customer service tonight. Trying to buy tickets with a 7 year old (17 year old midget) to the DWP2 and wanting to sit on the floor. Then wanting to see The Drama after I said it is about gun violence, they said "we are gun violence" , they weren't really taking my no on the matter and I was uncomfortable. Carly was amazing, they took her no like a champion. Incredible to watch. But a really bizarre situation. This is after a woman came an hour into Michael with her mom in a wheelchair and there were no ADA seats. I refunded so they could come ...

Manager Communication:  Very busy from the moment we opened.   TDWP2 is selling out and a bunch of other movies continue to fill up the theaters.  The big theaters were pretty much sold out all day, and kept us busy on all floors.  Trees also had a few couples and small families come through during the morning to have some snacks and chill at Trees.  Definitely getting a little popular as a post-park hangout spot. JH It was very awesome having Vlad stick around to help for the security absence tonight. I appreciate that.-He was really on top of stuff all night and extremely helpful today.-LB Fraud gift card gate: So the man that possibly bought gift cards earlier: He came into Trees, Gab flagged him. I made him a Marg with Espolon and he wanted a shot. His card wouldn't swipe. I told him I could not manually enter it, I would give him the card back and the margarita if he paid for it.   Manager Communication: Some callouts to start the day. A bit thin to start the day.  IF YOU DO NOT READ ANYTHING ELSE ON THIS BLOG PLEASE READ THIS... As expected, You Are Iconic is selling very well. We sold 48 today. The garnish is not a fun one to do during the rush and I HIGHLY recommend stocking that garnish like CRAZY tomorrow for a smoother service. I would anticipate a whole lot being made tomorrow and if I was opening tomorrow I would make sure there is plenty of garnish prepped at the beginning of service. - AB2 Color Of Pomegranates needs to be charged. It is ready in the walk-in labeled "NEEDS TO BE CHARGED!!!" - AB2  We seem to be out of the little white envelopes that go over the black covering of the gift cards. I did not see any in lobby bar and they were not on the shelf behind the door in the office. Anywhere else maybe I can find them? If not, they need to be ordered. Manager Communication:  Easy open. James and me beasted it -GS  The second round was busyyyyyyyy for a Thursday night.  Encore screening of Butthole Surfers and TDWP2 is easily selling out our larger theaters.  Busy busy weekend ahead. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Gabrielle had some really thoughtful things to say about the bar, staffing and such. Will share at the meeting on Tuesday Once closers were in, lobby did a big restock and I had Greg float up to Trees just as the second round was hitting Trees Lounge.  Definitely needed the three bartenders, as it freed me up to not only expo, but tray up drinks.  Excellent work across the board, guests at the bar were attended to and no drinks were left to die in the pass.  It was a very busy ninety minutes or so, but everybody absolutely crushed it.   Got Greg out of here and held on to Gabrielle to handle the late round TDWP2 and the Bingo crowd.  At 10:15pm, I went down to lobby and ...

Manager Communication:  Coca cola came by and the lovely technician Jim hooked us up with a new bar gun and manifold (the under part) so we are back in business in the service well. -LB I put out 4 dozen Collins glasses, we have no more back ups.-LB BAR Staff Observations:  Jeshua handled a very busy Lobby (lots of new folks coming through for Doc'n Roll and just could not resist the opportunity to order a drink before heading up the stairs).  Routed first floor once the lobby gate came down, and he was able to help Gabrielle with a few closing tasks.  The last two Wednesdays have had a very busy Trees crowd, so Jeshua has been a real champ the last two weeks.  Matthew + Gabrielle sailed through service, with Matthew sticking around until Trees had mellowed into the third round.  Gabrielle handled a very busy bar for the rest of the evening and closed without issue.
