Friday 5.22.2026 Ian/Jenn/Ariel

Manager Communication: Got ducks in a row for Matt's batching shift. Gus let me know Knibbs will not be able to make it in for his shift tonight. We have an All-star crew on, so it should hopefully present few issues. Want to be wary of holding onto Matt for too long because of his batch shift in-time - I can stick around to help out with Boosters  load-in, and we can swing Greg up to Trees to assist as well. Also, Natasha already counts as two bartenders. - IP Day was smooth. Jenn completed all batching that Matt couldn't get to before doors, so we are loaded up. Waiting on more Mango Nectar from US Foods, so Ariel grabbed some on his way in to shore up another batch of The Child for tonight. Otherwise, all product should be good to go.  The Parents of Park Slope descended upon Trees en masse. Kept trees packed from 5 all the way through to the Friday night events. - IP Solid busy night. I was able to get Matthew out of here after the dinner round settled and then got Greg o...

Thursday 5.21.26 Ian/Gus/Jenn

Manager Communication:   Smooth opening. Ian handled doors. -GS Pretty easy day. Got a lot done batching  -IP BAR Staff Observations:  Danny is really awesome! Good work across both bars this evening, very busy dinner round on all three floors.  Danny is definitely great about keeping cool no matter how busy it is, and is great about switching between the pass and guests.  However, when he is solo at the pass he goes drink by drink, which really bogs down the speed with which drinks get trayed.  All drinks are made, and made correctly, but he definitely needs to get into the habit of bundling like with like.  I brought it up to Matthew, so he could help coach him through it, and I will have leads (and myself) keep an eye on it when Danny is in for his mid shift on Saturday. JH 86ed / counts on items:  There are no more charger canisters in the liquor room for the Irish IC whipped cream. JH Prep List:  Make  Pay Outs:  $40.00 (b...

Wednesday 5/20/26 Ian/Lauren/Jenn

Manager Communication:  Ian and Jared had things in good shape when I arrived after my screening. -LB Hot.  The rain helped cool down outside, but no such relief at Trees or the MOD office.  It definitely did not keep people from hanging out at Trees, the fan on the floor was much appreciated.  JH BAR Staff Observations:  Matthew + Gabrielle held down a pretty busy Trees this evening, and were very good about rolling with the punches while we dealt with Palco and a busy last round seating.  Matthew made sure Gabrielle was set up for the rest of the evening, and got out of here a little before ten.  Once I rerouted the first floor, I had Darius head up to Trees in anticipation of him helping her with any guests who wanted a drink once the Th2 Q+A let out.  However, the Q+A ran over time by a fair amount, so he ended up just setting her up with a hefty pre-close.  After that, he was able to finish closing lobby and Gabrielle made quick work of ...

Tuesday 5.19.26 Gus/Lauren/Ian

Manager Communication: I think we are doing such substantial business on the margarita line that we *could* consider buying another draft keg to have ready to tap.  I do not think we would be in peril of the margarita not being fresh and delish.-LB Jared took two stanchions down to the sub basement from Trees lounge.-LB Trivia dominated the evening. Between Natasha's floor service, the excellent bar team, an A+ server squad, and Becca's ability to be everywhere at once - my job was super easy tonight. Theater service was very smooth and Trivia went off without a hitch. Great Tuesday. - IP  BAR Staff Observations: Great trivia team, helmed primarily by Natasha. She is automatic. It was a busy trivia and it felt like nothing. Jeshua also continues to be such an MVP. Duan is a fantastic bartender. He has proven himself to be good on the floor, but Natasha still reigns supreme - and Duan seems more comfy behind the bar anyway (just noting that if we can have Nat on the floor, we...

Monday NO BUDGE 5/18/2026 Ian

Manager Communication: Aside from No Budge the day was ruled by the beautiful weather. We had Gab scheduled to come in for a batch shift and to help with No Budge, but I made the call that we didn't need her to come in. Greg was game to handle the first crush of the No Budge after-party and I was able to shore up the walk-in. Gab was thrilled to have the night off - everybody wins! - IP The softballers and a book club rounded out the evening at Trees, and we ended up having a packed house from around 8-11. Was a nice little pop for an otherwise sleepy Monday. Greg, Lydia and Patrick did great. - IP BAR Staff Observations: ***TREES LOUNGE NEEDS NEW BAR MATS*** The ones we have are so sticky it has become a hazard. Can we order those tomorrow? The time has come. - IP Greg and Lydia rocked the No Budge after party which was very crowded and loud, but ultimately very tame - and once the first round of drinks had been dispersed, it chilled out considerably. Greg grabbed Lydia a restoc...

Sunday 5.17.2026 Ian/Lauren

Manager Communication: Wyatt had cue sheets all set and dispersed when I arrived. I set up b'fast buffet and got bartenders their money and made sure glassware was being accounted for. Greg and Danny both absolutely smashed their openings. Every time I went to check on something it had already been done or was being completed. Great stuff. - IP Gus, kitchen needed some Bardstown, so I transferred them 2 bottles to hold them over.-LB There was an unknown leaking at the Trees coffee machine. One of the airpots had a leak, I tossed it. There was also another broken airpot  top. These things are kind of garbage, if they fall once they break. I may investigate a more long lasting replacement variety. -LB I would like to post a sign on both levels of Trees Lounge about outside cake. People try to sneak in cake or cupcakes a lot and perhaps a sign featuring Molly Ringwald from Sixteen Candles would help. -LB Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Danny continues to be awesome where...

Saturday 05.16.26 Jenn/Lauren

Manager Communication:  Blue Velvet was the biggest pop for the first round, and the second round definitely mellowed out.  Beautiful sunshine outside, but Trees had a nice little crowd once the second round kicked off.  The scheduling of the big theaters, with an hour in between each opening was really helpful to keep the service pass running smoothly. JH Jenn got everything smooth and ready for a nice beautiful day here at NPP.  I broke out a case of water cups as it is also hot enough to make people want a lot more waters than usual.-LB Customer Comments: A very hostile guest was not interested in getting a credit as the party was returning to Argentina tomorrow and was angry at the angle of the screen from the first row in theater 5. The movie hadn't started and he was insistent that they didn't want to see any of the remaining films left tonight. I gave them a refund. Theater 5 continually makes people irate. It is really hard to balance customer service and ou...
