Manager Communication: Successful Menu Change and very busy day and night! EL BAR Staff Observations : Ian was a massive help today, and was able to utilize his prep shift to catch up on some new batches and get the remainder of new product stocked behind both bars.  He and Maya communicated about juice and garnish needs before doors, so Maya was set at Lobby while Ian handled a busy Trees.  Gabrielle went straight to Trees when she arrived, and floated back down to Lobby once Matthew and Ashley were in. JH Everyone was a rockstar for the rest of the night. Ian batched and Maya floated a bit.  Great team. EL Special Events? Park Slope Parents group came through again and brought a crowd to Trees starting around 3:30.  They are a relatively laid-back group and have been a pleasure to host on their two most recent visits.  They definitely give Trees an early Friday pop of business. Manager Communication: Pretty busy shift all around especially with menu change. Trees lounge had a nice crowd before Eternal sunshine and then it was still pretty good after. We also got a good Trees crowd from Holy Mountain in theater 5. Some people preferred Trees over the theater.  BAR Staff Observations: Great job by the team today. Tevon opened lobby and helped batch and prep for stock move by making bus bins for each bar, which made stocking very easy. Matthew did a great job closing lobby and then helped batch a Jungle Bird and helped with cleaning prep. Darius held down Trees and had a good close. Tashi Opened Trees and did a good job but is still learning and needs a close eye, but they also seem nervous to mess up and also needs to know that it's okay. Tashi was great expoing during the Eterrnal Sunshine rush, they had real grace under fire then.  FOH Staff Observations: Vlad told me that a server told him in a rude way not to take their garbage in one the theaters ...

BAR Staff Observations : Both Ashley and Gabrielle were able to get out of here relatively early due to sales, and Darius and Matthew were fine solo behind each bar.   Darius brought the remaining Lobby Holy Mountain upstairs to Trees, and moved the Fire Walk to the middle hopper.  Matthew was able to clean one of the Fire Walk hoppers at Trees, so both bars are ready for Neon Demon.  The Holy Mountain hopper at Trees will need to be cleaned tomorrow night and filled with Fire Walk. JH Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Brooklyn's Best Peach Tree, Industrial Pilsner, Ruby Hibiscus (Gold Coast), Southern on Friday. EA Maintenance : The fire alarm panel in the Soda Closet is beeping.  Gil checked it out and did not see anything that may have caused it.  It's not too loud, so wont't disturb guests, but should be checked tomorrow.  As of closing, it was still beeping. Manager Communication: Pretty good evening. Trivia Crushed. It's only getting bigger. Great night.  BAR Staff Observations: Everyone worked great together. Busy Trivia and Busy theaters but the team was no sweat. Tashi was great at Lobby Bar today and had a great close. They still had questions but they got it. Ian and Miguel opened and had everything ready for the night. Tevon closed Trees strong as well.  FOH Staff Observations: Isabel was great on the ground floor.  Special Events? Trivia was great tonight. Like I said they're getting bigger. I think we should maybe try to find creative ways to sit folks. The hightops are great at getting a standing crowd around them. Manager Communication: Rainy day for the most part today. Trees was pretty mellow all afternoon into the night with a few people sprinkled here and there. There was a decent pop for the dinner showing of John Wick and the late round for The Hunger, but nothing crazy afterwards. Most of the crowd scooted on out for the night right after the film. EA BAR Staff Observations: Quiet open for Ashley and Eliel today so they were able to get side work done as per usual. Ashley stayed through the seating for The Hunger and then was cut after the rush subsided. Eliel was cut much earlier in the day since there wasn't much to batch.  Jenna ran the lobby solo while Miguel took care of Trees for the remainder of the night. Easy day overall. EA Just an update from my end for the ADP training. Gabrielle and Darius are caught up. I spoke to both Miguel and Jenna about having theirs done by this Thursday. Manager Communication : Easy open today, movies had a nice spread to them. Trees started building a crowd mid afternoon.  I took advantage of the low stock in the walk in and washed the shelves where we keep batched product through the dish machine and wiped the walls and under with citric acid before stocking it back up. EL Dinner round was skinny busy and kept the bars busy until the late round where everything thinned out. EA Customer Comments: There was a lot of shuffling around and ticket exchanges for 6:45pm showing of Shazam in TH5. The main criticism was on how small the theater is and how wide the screen is followed by how they wish they knew that before purchasing tickets online. Short of putting very explicit details on the website, I don't know how else to address this. Manager Communication : Busy brunch, which continued throughout the day. The John Wick crowd is eager to hang at the bar before the theater opens, and then orders steadily throughout the movie, so Trees was pretty packed from about 4 o’clock on. Lobby also had plenty of well-sold screenings, which kept both bars busy throughout. JH  Dinner round was firing on all cylinders at all bars. It kept everyone moving. As mentioned above guests are grabbing a drink at Trees before they enter the theater. Things tapered off during the late round with some people sticking around after the dinner round for drinks and the pool table. EA BAR Staff Observations : Natasha and Tevon were both ready for doors, with Natasha prepping cut citrus for Trees and Tevon navigating a very busy Matilda service bar.  Tashi and Maya restocked both bars with product and glassware, and I was able to swing Natasha up to Trees once I cut Tevon around 3:30. Manager Communication: It turned into a really busy night for a couple hours. It was pretty much non-stop service tickets at trees from 8-10.  The keg of coffee & Cigarettes tonight had not been charged. Ian noticed right away when it wasn't foamy, and the keg was still full so I don't think we sold many flat ones if any at all. I drained the lines back in to the keg and set it up to charge, but we had to 86 while it was charging. We need to make sure kegs are made properly going forward and anything that hasn't been charged yet is labeled as such.  BAR Staff Observations: Solid Friday night crew as usual. FOH Staff Observations: A customer came to the lobby bar from theater 5 with a flag with food that he said had been in the coil for a very long time with no server in the theater. I walked him back in to see his seat and entered the flag. Brendan was the server in the theater. I let him know that this customer was waiting a really long time, and he was very dismiss...

Manager Communication : Surprisingly busy night at Trees from about 7:30 to 9:30.  A lot of it were guests waiting for sold out Spirited Away and John Wick theaters to open, but there were a fair amount of people who came just for Trees. BAR Staff Observations : Jenna and Tashi had great opens, and were able to get both bars ready for dinner service during a pretty sleepy first round.  Once Ian and Matthew got in, both bars got very busy and all bartenders were well occupied until near the end of the second round.   Tashi restocked Lobby and was able to get out of here around 8:30, while Trees got a quick restock in to prep for Spirited Away, and then Ian was able to knock out some batches before Th1 opened.  Since guests were still hanging at Trees, both Jenna and Ian focused on guests and I knocked out most of the service tickets for the initial service push for Spirited Away.   Unfortunately, shortly before 10:00, Jenna got some upsetting news on he...

Manager Communication : Another quiet day start to the day here. Received the Nu-Foamicide. EA Had Gabrielle do her Harassment Training in the MOD office today. EA It got a little better at Trees for Karaoke but not by too much. Slow all around. EL Customer Comments: A nude person walked in to the lobby. Vlad immediately let me know, I was there already and first asked them if they needed help or if I could call help for them. They were unresponsive to that so I asked them to leave a couple of times. They stood looking at the plaque and then they left after no more than 5 minutes.  Susan who was here for Karaoke was outside smoking, saw the person, helped them find their clothes, get dressed and put them in a car. Susan to the rescue. It was shocking but resolved itself quickly.. EL BAR Staff Observations : Easy open for Ashley and Gabrielle. Customer Comments : Darielle alerted Tevon that some guests were behaving oddly in the women's restroom at Trees.  When I went in, I could see there were two people in the handicapped stall, with no one else in the restroom.  I asked if they everything was okay and if they needed any assistance, which they declined.  I let them know that we would prefer if they used separate stalls, as we had received a complaint at the bar, and then left, leaving the restroom door open.   As a movie was letting out at the same time, and I could not see the woman in the stall, we lost track of her when other people went in to use that restroom.  But the man in the stall exited the women's room and walked directly into the men's restroom.  Nathaniel checked to make sure nothing else was happening in the men's room, and the guy left the building shortly thereafter. Manager Communication: Pretty quiet day for both the bars today. All the theaters were light in sales and neither bar saw a lot of foot traffic today. EA BAR Staff Observations : Ashley and Eliel were able to get both bars restocked and reset after the weekend, with all frozies in great shape.  Ashley was able to deepclean the shelves and the glassware mats on the backbar at Trees during the first round. JH Openers were out sooner rather than later since sales levels were low and closers were able to handle the bars with no incident. No traffic after the last round of Scream let out so it was an easy close for Miguel. Manager Communication : Pretty busy morning with the St Patty's Day parade party. Great crowd. Then it stayed medium busy for the rest of the afternoon.  EL Dinner round was steady and kept the bar entertained for most of the afternoon into the evening, but then just dropped off completely with minimal people staying at Trees. EA BAR Staff Observations :  Andrea opened lobby and held it down all morning into the afternoon. Natasha was a little late opening Trees and Ashley was a much needed mid.  Ashley was an hour late due to traffic and street closures so I gave her a written warning as is policy after 30 minutes late. Tevon came in at 1:30 at which point Ashley got some batching done. We were able to get Andrea out right after she finished batching. EL I was able to get Ashley out earlier rather than later when the closing crew was in and situated. By doing so I was able to move Tevon upstairs to help with a steady dinner rush and to help Ian with Tashi's tree training...

Manager Communication:  The afternoon started a bit on the slower side, but ramped up for dinner with all the smaller theaters selling out and Th1/2 selling out pretty well too. Sales dipped back down for late night, but Trees kept the momentum going with an impromptu birthday celebration and a bunch of groups hanging back to play pool and some board games they brought. Lots of food and drinks sold. It might be time to consider putting up some shelving with the board games we have in storage. Spoke to Tashi about picking up the empty Thursday shift and they said they could do it. I also let them know to set their availability on SF as soon as possible. EA Customer Comments: Guests at Trees were great tonight. Though the night felt like it was gonna fizzle out in the end, it actually ended up being busy to the end. It was a great change of pace. Manager Communication: Pretty good evening. Nothing busy but not dead. Shazam wasn't looking too promising but maybe it'll have a weekend bump.  Trees got quiet pretty early tonight.  Almost out of nuFoamicide behind the bars. EL BAR Staff Observations: Tevon opened Lobby with trainee Tashi, Matthew opened Trees. Ian closed Trees and Gabrielle closed lobby. Ian got some much needed batching done before Matthew left. Tevon said Tashi displayed competence behind the bar and had great forward facing energy at Lobby Tevon also said they need to keep using the jiggers till they get cocktail levels right. Manager Communication: Easy start to the day. Less windy and cold than yesterday.  I was able to scan and upload Tevon's Review and Wage change form. EA Pretty easy slow night. EL BAR Staff Observations: Ashley and Gabrielle had quiet opens today. Ashley had Tashi as a trainee and navigated her through a standard Trees opening. EA Gabrielle left after working the start of Five Devils and stocking and Maya closed Lobby. Matthew came to close Trees and trained with Tashi as Ashley stocked. Both Ashley and Tashi left shortly after Ashley finished batching.  Hiring/Training: Tashi was in for their first training day. They had all their information except that they couldn't find their passport in time since they got the email for today late last night. BAR Staff Observations : Eliel, Maya, and Tevon crushed Trivia service, and Maya took the initial service push for Good Time solo and did a fantastic job getting through tickets.  Miguel held down Lobby solo, and was great about communicating whenever he needed back up.  Overall a very good night of service. JH FOH Staff Observations : The servers in Th1 for Good Time were great about navigating a very busy initial service push.  Drink trays were filled and ran without issue for as long as tickets were printing at Trees. Manager Communication: Cold wet day. On the quieter side throughout all theaters. Decent crowd for Psycho II. Over all smooth night. EA BAR Staff Observations: Ashley and Eliel had easy opens today and were able to prep us with juice and batching for the next few days. We were able to get Ashley out of here when the closers were in and the bar was stocked fully for Miguel to take over. Eliel was cut soon after when it was clear that Psycho II wasn't going to jump up.  Trees was pretty bare for the last round so after the seating rush for Psycho, Miguel was able to wrap things up easily. Manager Communication: Solid Afternoon and dinner service. We had a good amount of sales in all theaters plus the Oscars Party. Not a lot of heads stayed in Trees, but those peeps in the theaters can drink. It was nonstop all night with them.  Knives were taken to kitchen for sharpening. EA BAR Staff Observations : Both Andrea and Natasha opened both bars without issue, with Puss in Boots and School of Rock being the busiest pushes for each.  Once Tevon got in, I had him head up to Trees to get Natasha through the second round in the big theaters, and Ashley batched everything and anything that needed to be batched.  Once Ashley was able to get back behind the bar at Trees, Tevon moved back down to Lobby and Andrea was able to get out of here. Manager Communication : Pretty good start to the day. Busy but th 1 and 2 opened well enough after we opened that we were over prepared for it. Great trees crowd. Brunch Club was fun. EL It was a nonstop afternoon into close on both floors. TH 7 sold out all day with a lot of the other theaters either near sold out, or sold out completely as well. Trees itself stayed pretty busy all day as well with people coming early to hang out or stay after their movie for a drink. It made for a very busy, and steady day. Service was smooth.  BAR Staff Observations : Darius and Ian had great opens, and were very good about communicating stock and garnish needs.  Ian was kept busy with the Parents event up at Trees when we opened, so I stepped in to help with service bar and bussing the floor, but it stayed relatively easygoing.  JH Special Events? EL Customer Comments: One guest purchased a cash ticket, sat down and changed their mind before the film started and said they wanted a refund because they needed the cash. I gave it to them. After some light batching by Eliel I was able to get them out of here as the event's crowd had already settled in. Miguel took over in lobby while Maya and Tevon took care of the Trees crowd until it was apparent that event peeps weren't coming to Trees afterwards. EA Pretty mellow night, with a couple of the larger theaters getting decent crowds for a slower weeknight. Manager Communication : Pretty great morning. The first one was busy but not too overwhelming. Nice crowds after. Second round crushed in a good way. The lobby had great action and the mubi go oscar shorts definitely spiked. EL Afternoon and dinner rounds stayed busy. Manager Communication : Quiet night up until the opening of our Shorts Festival!  Lively crowd in Trees for the opening night party, which kept bar very busy all the way up until last call.  JH BAR Staff Observations : Everyone really crushed a very busy open bar at Trees today.  Sean came upstairs right before the shorts screening started, and prepped the bar for service with Matthew and Tevon.  They were all able to hold down a very busy Trees crowd once the screening let out, and Gabrielle was able to swing upstairs to offer assistance after ten.  Really great work from all bartenders tonight, especially with both openers pulling longer than usual weeknight hours.
