Thursday 03.23 Jenn



Manager Communication: Surprisingly busy night at Trees from about 7:30 to 9:30.  A lot of it were guests waiting for sold out Spirited Away and John Wick theaters to open, but there were a fair amount of people who came just for Trees.

BAR Staff Observations: Jenna and Tashi had great opens, and were able to get both bars ready for dinner service during a pretty sleepy first round.  Once Ian and Matthew got in, both bars got very busy and all bartenders were well occupied until near the end of the second round.  

Tashi restocked Lobby and was able to get out of here around 8:30, while Trees got a quick restock in to prep for Spirited Away, and then Ian was able to knock out some batches before Th1 opened.  Since guests were still hanging at Trees, both Jenna and Ian focused on guests and I knocked out most of the service tickets for the initial service push for Spirited Away.  

Unfortunately, shortly before 10:00, Jenna got some upsetting news on her phone, so I had her clock out so she could get off the floor.  I stuck around to help Ian reset the bar, and Matthew was able to swing upstairs to help with the Spirited Away crowd, which ended up being minimal.  Matthew got out shortly before midnight, with Ian set to close Trees.

Hiring/Training: Tashi had their first live shift, and they did great opening Lobby.  They're definitely getting the hang of things, and are great about asking questions and taking notes.  Working through the sold out Th3 John Wick rush in the second round with Matthew was great, and they were able to keep up with both theater and guest-facing service.  

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Eliel text me around 11:30 to let me know that they were unable to come in to work today due to lung/back issues.  I added them the Sick Calendar, and was able to stay until the Spirited Away screening got through its initial service push. 

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Jenna had her annual review, and both her review and wage acknowledgment form were scanned and sent out. 

86ed / counts on items: 86'd Interboro Stout & Sauvignon Blanc.

Prep List: Will need to batch Fire Walk With Me and a Coffee & Cigarettes keg tomorrow. 

Maintenance: The vent in the ceiling above the glasswasher at Trees needs to be cleaned.

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Sunday 03.09.2025 - Ian/Lauren

Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper. Nick Friday 2/11

Manager Communication: Slow night at the bar, but The WOrst Person opened pretty big which was nice to see.  BAR Staff Observations: Everyone did great. Was able to get Jenn and Jo out earlyish.  FOH Staff Observations: Solid crew tonight, no issues on my end.  86ed / counts on items: Tecate Prep List : Should be all prepped up going in to tomorrow. We will probably need hot toddy at some point, but no urgency.  Over/Short on Banks: Lobby bar was $10 short.  Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Manhattan did not come in this week, so we did not get tecate or high life. Our rep is following up.
