Manager Communication: The afternoon started a bit on the slower side, but ramped up for dinner with all the smaller theaters selling out and Th1/2 selling out pretty well too. Sales dipped back down for late night, but Trees kept the momentum going with an impromptu birthday celebration and a bunch of groups hanging back to play pool and some board games they brought. Lots of food and drinks sold. It might be time to consider putting up some shelving with the board games we have in storage.
Spoke to Tashi about picking up the empty Thursday shift and they said they could do it. I also let them know to set their availability on SF as soon as possible. EA
Customer Comments: Guests at Trees were great tonight. Though the night felt like it was gonna fizzle out in the end, it actually ended up being busy to the end. It was a great change of pace. EA
BAR Staff Observations: Andrea and Natasha both had great opens. I was able to get Natasha out of here shortly after Tevon arrived, and Gil sat in for her annual review. Maya held down Lobby, with some assistance from Andrea for a nearly-sold out Creed III, and then Andrea was able to get out of here as service continued into the third round. JH

Dinner was 'skinny busy' today. I was able to get Maya out as our Lobby mid after the 7pm rushes. This let Tashi get more involved with guest ticketing and service tickets while under the supervision and help of Matthew. They closed lobby together and went over lobby closing procedures.
Trees looked like it was going to a lull after the dinner rushes were in, so I was able to have Tevon stock and cut around 9. Then like the Bar Gods always deem, we got hit with a party that kept the bar packed on both floors. Ian and Gabrielle were able to get all the drinks out to the guests, while I assisted with the few tickets that were popping up at the service bar.
Ian and Gabrielle closed down Trees with no issue after a 12:30a.m. last call. EA
FOH Staff Observations: Around 4:30pm, I heard Monica loudly inform a guest that they were walking into the wrong bathroom. I did not see the guest's reaction, but they continued on into the bathroom they were originally walking in to (the men's room), and Monica then called out to them, 'Okay, have fun.' and returned to their server station. I didn't speak to Monica directly after the incident, but brought it to Gil and Nathaniel's attention.
Could we include a reminder in this week's emails to staff to be mindful when it comes to which bathrooms people are choosing? I'll be sure to touch base with bartenders to be mindful of how they direct guests to bathrooms at Lobby. JH
Hiring/Training: Tashi Training Day 3 - Lobby Close - Tashi trained with Matthew today in the lobby. I went over DOH protocols with them and let them know that I would soon do a complete walk through with them. I did give them a broader view of the big picture items to watch out for. They also let me know that they tried to sign up for the orientation, but it only showed past dates. I told them to try it again and if it doesn't work to let me know immediately as it was working fine on my end.

Matthew filled out the binder for Day 3.
Special Events? The majority of the guests who were here for The Fugitive were very understanding about the projection situation, except for one guest. Essentially, he said this is the fifth time he has been to a 35mm screening here that was disrupted due to tech issues, and that while he appreciates the programming choices, he is displeased at how studios don't properly archive older prints. I elected to not elaborate on the technical issues, made sure that his e-credit was processed, and told him that his complaints would be passed on to the appropriate parties.

(Edit: He sent an email to Infomail.) JH
Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Gil noted that bartenders in Lobby have been more proactive about getting guests to add their email to in-person box office purchases, which made transferring guests for screenings in Th1/4 tomorrow much easier than expected. JH
86ed / counts on items: Still out on Sauvignon Blanc (Still backordered) EA
Prep List: Holy Mountain and maybe a 1/4 batch of Diamond Dame since it's on the DNB list. Eliel, could you check what our stock levels are in the morning?
Pay Outs: $150.00 (Ariel&Eliel) JH
Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor & US Foods arriving Monday.

I was informed that kitchen needs more cream soda for floats, but unfortunately the business we purchase from is closed on weekends. Once kitchen lets me know how many cases they need, I will be sure to place the order first thing Monday morning for Tuesday delivery. JH
Filmbot Issues: Came across an issue looking up an order on Filmbot today due to ApplePay. A guest had purchased a ticket at Lobby for The Fugitive screening that we had to cancel, and had used ApplePay. They had placed their ticket on a plate that was bussed, so remembered their seat number but did not have access to their Order ID.

When I went to look up the order on the Lobby laptop using the last four digits of the card they used, the most recent order that was pulled was from January. I then combed through the recent orders, using the seat number as a cross reference, and was able to find the order, although the last four digits of the card used were different. It turns out, ApplePay will autogenerate a new number for cards, which can be looked up on a guest's phone if you have them pull up their Wallet, select the card they want to use for ApplePay, and then looking at card details, where it will present both the physical card's number and the ApplePay number for the card.
