Manager Communication: A very busy morning to set things off; some drab weather had the early shows generate some great sales. Several sold out theatres. Dumbo is dragging a bit, as is Aftermath but Us killed it again, selling out or nearly selling out all of its showtimes except for the very latest ones tonight (folks gotta work in the morning). Flow of tickets and service was well managed, cut to one drink runner after the 7s and then down to none for the latest shows tonight with servers running their drinks with some manager support. Overall a very steady day, bar business held well until 10 PM. Cut lobby bar after the last showtime, routed up and got it closed quickly. Down to 2 bartenders at HiRes after the 7s as well. Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Jay and Caleb both did a really nice job not just asking to be cut, but giving me a list of things they saw needing batching/organization. We stayed well stocked with drinks and garnishes for the rushes, probably the...

Manager Communication: Great early rounds, boosted by the Apollo 11 Q&A.  The director lives nearby and was a delight. Very good manager and server communication today. Amazing second round as well, cause the day started nice and everyone came to the movies once it started to rain.  Let's make note of this and not make cuts too early going forward, because we will be people's escape the park option.  Great to see, and we made it work when Dumbo spiked from 46 to 146 in 15 minutes. Gun Hill kegs taste malty.  I think they are mislabeled.  86'd it. Closes on weekends have to get better.  Left under reset at the bar for busy early rounds. Customer Comments: Had some teenagers be awful with Gerard.  Had an intense round of people in the lobby at the 1 pm round, but everyone left happy.  1 woman was angry about things taking time, but I made her happy, and it was still preshow for theater 3 when she complained to me.  I talked to...

Manager Communication: AM shows were on the slow side; a first day of truly beautiful outdoor weather probably contributed in a pretty big way to that. However, we had good walk in pick up for the 4s, sold a few shows out, and then sold out 7s and most of the late shows as well and were non-stop from 6:00 pm on at both bars. Lobby bar got hit hard by the sold out late shows with 1 bartender; Gil and I both hopped behind the bar to assist with ticketing and drinks at the height of it. Ryan kept his head and held it down. HiRes stayed busy with tickets but churned them out with no problem. Slower than usual with guests at the actual bar; we really only saw pushes to the guest side right before shows, clearing out when they sat. Customer Comments: Several guests tonight got very frustrated with the lines, also because we had some negative turn times. Even with the line pushed all the way past the middle of the of the pews and longer than usual, the line had to be cut into several sect...

Manager Communication:  Just a hair shy of late Friday's ticket sales with most theaters selling out or well all night.  Really marked improvement on last weekends issues so far. Batched up well.  Rebecca hit spread of hours, but just by a bit, and got everything we needed for success this weekend.  I cut her and Chris around 11:30.  This was the perfect amount of bartenders for a Friday like this.  Felt comfortable to get everything done, and Rebecca did a great job of timing her time in prep with her time at the bar for the busy times during the sevens when the bar and service were getting hit hard. The servers noted that the drop time should be 6 or 7 minutes earlier for Us. Customer Comments: Had a customer complain that our Brooklyn Raw Cider was skunky.  We may need to find a way to mark that this is an odd style of cider on the menu, and have servers know to recommend the Austin East while it is so much a main stream crowd.  Been ...

Manager Communication: Busy night, especially at the 7s. We had decent pick up for the early shows, but then sold out theatre 1 and nearly sold out theatre 2, along with 3 and 5 selling strong for all rounds downstairs. Servers got lots of drink running help so that they could focus on theatres, managers stepped up all around as well as cut servers sticking around to help. We had a real flow going tonight; people were where they needed to be to support. Kept 2 bartenders on upstairs, stretched thin for the sold out 7s but I hopped behind to run service with Alexis and Ryan traying drinks and we got through the push and managed to cover the guests at the bar as well. Bar crowd decent all day. Lobby Bar cut after final showtimes sat and tickets sold. No issues. Customer Comments: Had a few problem guests today, specifically with bringing in outside food. Good communication from servers about their needs so managers could step right in to situations. Also had a group at the bar upstai...

Mar 27 Jesse

Manager Communication: Very good service tonight, busy on both floors. The event fleshed out some well sold theatres downstairs to give us a good flow and the upstairs bar kept Ben and Jay busy with strong walk ins getting us to nearly sold theatre 1 & 2 for the 7s and a great 9:30 pm Us as well. Pulp Fiction had an issue in the last 3-4 minutes of the film; the sound and picture cut out. It was right before they walk out of the diner, most guests had seen the movie and did not mind. For those that stayed, we got it back up and running. Closed lobby bar after the final film went in, Ash ended up staying as Malka had a death in the family and left early. We had two walk outs tonight, same exact MO. Guests racked up a substantial tab with DnD, left before the movie was over and then the card was declined for being an invalid number. They seem to be either Gift Cards that they load with enough to cover tickets but then get declined for more money or cards they are using to pay for...

Manager Communication: As Tuesdays go, a strong one following up on a very good weekend and Monday. We saw a lot of walk in pick up for all showtimes, including enough to sell out a 9:00 pm theatre 5 of Us and boost all theatres for that movie, specifically. Overall, we had a great day of service. Good communication from FOH, support with drink running was well handled. Had a nice crowd at the bar throughout, peaking after the 7 pm shows but holding well through 11 pm. Blood Bath and shorts drove a nice dozen or so guests to the bar later. No issues, cut to HiRes only after the final films went in, down to 2 bartenders by 11 pm. Customer Comments: Had a guest return the Brooklyn Cider, did not know it was going to be a sour so they got a Hibiscus Limeade instead. Two guests in Theatre 3 had their server forget to fire food until late, complained about the wait, I dropped the food and comped a popcorn and tots with queso that they ordered as well and they left very happy. Manager Communication: Very busy with the Jameson event, Jawbreaker, and sold out Us's! We killed it on the prep shift, and everything went smooth the whole night.  Cut to 1 bartender downstairs after the Jameson event was in the theater and good. Cut to 2 bartenders upstairs for the close after theater 1 sat. I realized just now that I didn't publish yesterday's blog and just did so. Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Ben had a great prep shift.  Caleb and Ben got their bars stocked well after the weekend.  All bartenders crushed the event and made that paper. FOH Staff Observations: There were dead drinks coming back from some of the full theaters, saying there was no ticket on them.  Gerard was running the trays with tickets, they were running just one drink from the ticket and stabbing them.  There was too much waste and too many people waiting on drinks that were already made. Servers need to be reminded that we do not do cocktails...

Manager Communication: Slow start.  Allowed for prep.  Ash rocked prep before spoons, got us set for the day. Customer Comments:  BAR Staff Observations: Ash came in and knocked out a bunch of prep for the day before the day started getting crazy. I had the downstairs second person swing up any time there was time to help with the big theaters. There was still some poor use of down time, with not everything being restocked.  I told all the bartenders that we were sold out from the 3's on and to get stocked.  I also pointed to several things that were needed for the night, and when I came back from prepping, I saw the mid having to run back for more things, including a few of the things I had pointed out. FOH Staff Observations: Turns were really solid this morning.  Lots of energy, and we were able to sit several of the Us's early.   Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Special Events? Spoons was executed from our end g...

Nick Sunday 3/24

Customer Comments: So many people tonight, for the most part everyone was great. We had a pretty rowdy crowd in the Mezz for a while, I was close to cutting them off, but they left before I had to. I had a pretty negative interaction with a couple women here for the 10:30 show. They had an infant with them, and I had to tell them that we couldn't let the baby in. I was polite and showed them the policy and refunded their tickets, but they were very offended. They were demanding that I also re-imburse them for their UBER, which I did not do. They told me they were going to write the general manager, so I gave them our email address, they have already written an email. BAR Staff Observations: We felt a stretched pretty thin today. Service went very well, but it was always on the brink of getting away from us. There were some longer than usual shifts and a couple bartenders went in to spread of hours. Service was non stop all weekend. FOH Staff Observations: We would like ser...

Benjamin 3/23 Dinner

Manager Communication: Record ticket sales.  God bless Us... every one. (Tiny Tim).  Hit the ground running. We had good times to batch and stay ahead as people were coming and people were being cut.  Was able to stay ahead on batching all day.  The upstairs never really had real breaks during the evening to restock, so I was having the second bartender from downstairs (Eva) restock both bars.  That worked very well, as there were often full bars with guests coming and going, and tickets streaming in upstairs. Customer Comments: For the 6:35 Us, I thought I had a second person helping me seat, but did not, so I had to guard the staircase, and some people cut the line and angered others in the line.  It has to be a two person job.  For the 7:30 no one was available, but I grabbed Michael Houston and he did a great job.  He is great. BAR Staff Observations: We have nailed the theater service well, and we were able to keep up with things....

Nick Sunday 3/23 Brunch

Manager Communication:  It was a very busy day today. I extended the line in the bar so it is occupying most of the stuff. It still overflows close to seating time for the sold out 1s and 2s, but it is more manageable. Doesn't leave us much bar real estate though. Customer Comments: I dealt with an unhappy customer in theater 2 who had a ticket up for a very long time. I tried to help and brought him the drink he wanted, but unfortunately I managed to make the problem worse by spilling his water on him when I dropped it at his table. I comped his drinks and also refunded his tickets. We have so many teenagers coming in for US. It is difficult to police everyone, I am pretty sure there are underage people getting in. Special Events? Spoons went really well today. I would say it was a success all around. From the bar side we were able to execute the new spoons menu with no problem. Staff Meeting Agenda notes: We are still having supply problems with the Wavvy and Modern ...

Benjamin 3/23

Manager Communication: Wowza!  Us killed it.  Big drinking crowd.  Both before and after each show.  Including the late ones. People want to decompress after seeing it and move to the bar to talk. Nick will be expanding the lines for tomorrow.  We had some crazy people management.  I think to seat theater 1 on a sold out show, we need one person guiding the line, one person handling the bar area of the line, and one person stationed at the top of the stairs to hold people until the line is passed and then let them follow.  To prevent cutting and the fights that may ensue. Customer Comments:  Had one customer come out of theater 1 after his check was dropped.  He was sweet and apologetic for coming to me, but said his food was ordered at the beginning and came just before the check drop, and that he had wanted to order more than that. I comped his $40 dollar tab and apologized.  He seemed good with the situation.  When I went...
Manager Communication: Got all 3 batches done by 3:30.  Did a double batch of the Wilsons and a single of The Tethered.  Tethered seems to be selling better. Specs on the new cocktails are in the books.  The Buzz Aldrin is a 2 bottle pickup so that we are not batching vodka with the TANG, so that we don't have waste. US did fantastic, and the bartenders rocked it! Customer Comments: Had 2 older folks for the 10:15 not understand our lines, and get a bit angry.  As I was seating our line, they were trying to go into the theater, and I politely said they just needed to wait for the line and that there were plenty of seats.  They said that the man downstairs told them to wait outside the theater and they had been there a long time (I checked with Michael Houston, and he said they had just bought their tickets, and that he said the line was in the bar upstairs).  The gentleman just got angry and cut the line anyway.  The people around him just sh...

Nick Wednesday 3/20

Manager Communication: We cleaned the bubblers and left one side with water for tomorrow so we can put in the Wilsons cocktail. Alfredo will now be in a store and pour. Special Events? The art folks were here tonight, they seemed to have a good time. There was one older lady who couldnt make it up there because of the stairs. The Lavendar House event sold out. 86ed / counts on items: Wavvy is now not going to be available until next week, so we will be 86ed for another weekend. Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: The clothespins for the US special are supposed to arrive tomorrow, but we might have to serve them without for a round or two.

Mar 19 Jesse

Manager Communication: Cinema service/service bar was slow to start the day, slight pick up for the 7s gave us a decent push but then it was allllll about trivia. Cut both Eva and Rebecca when it was done, Jenn at the same time due to Lobby bar closing for the last round of films. Kept labor as tight as possible without sacrificing the sales we were generating. Customer Comments: Lots of happy trivia folk, clearly they had been to Videology but they loved the space here. BAR Staff Observations: Eva and Rebecca stole the show today, great jobs opening followed by amazing service for trivia. Ryan and Adriana handled the combination of bar/theatre/trivia ticket service well and Jenn helped us a ton with sidework and cleaning. FOH Staff Observations: Ben was a rockstar today; he ran drinks downstairs to all theatres in a really timely manner, came up and helped get food and bev out at HiRes and trained throughout all of that. Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Special ...
Manager Communication: I made 3 versions of dried limes, we can pick one tomorrow and knock out prep for Us, Built all but one table and 4 chairs. Slow night, rerouted after 7's.  Decent bar business after the 7:30 Captain marvel. About to set up for employee event. Customer Comments:  BAR Staff Observations: Caleb did a deep clean of the service glass spot upstairs, and also moved the glasses a bit away from the bubblers noticing they were running a bit hot. FOH Staff Observations: Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Special Events? Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 86ed / counts on items: Modern IPA, Wavvy, Prosecco on count Prep List: R&D comp checks: Over/Short on Banks: Pay Outs: Lost & Found?: Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Maintenance: Warped cabinet behind Hi-Res bar. Jesse Mar 17

Manager Communication: Steady Sunday up to the last round, pretty big drop off but we did do a good deal of walk in business to boost ticket sales for all show times. No issues behind the bar, well handled service all around. Bar crowds were alright during all showtimes save for the end of the night, again with a big drop off. Cut down to 1 closer by 11 pm, had the lobby bar shut down for the last round, re-routed at 9:30 pm. Caleb out by 11:45 pm helping close both bars and batch a few things. Had lots of free time during the last round, re-organized some storage and broke items out of partial boxes to reduce clutter and mopped the walk in by the storage shelves. Customer Comments: Had a guest adamant that we need to have an American flag hanging from the pole outside of the entrance. Also had a few guests in theatre 2 waiting on their flags to get pulled for a while, one of whom came to the bar. Managers stepped in to assist.  BAR Staff Observations: Good crew, no issues. ...

Mar 16 Jesse

Manager Communication: Albeit slower than last Saturday, still a very busy round of 4s, 7s and sell outs on several late shows as well. Well handled, the bar generated good crowds before films sat, but less than last weekend post-film volume. Our customer mix seemed to be more family driven this weekend, possibly an effect of it not being an opening weekend of die hard fans of an older age. F&B sales per cover were lower. The excitement and event surrounding an opening seemed to generate more excitement and sales. Still a very good service with tight staffing. Customer Comments: 1 Return on a Firewalk for spice level, tasted the batch and it was standard. Just a bit rich for their blood. Handled a dozen or so exchanges during the 7s due to a lack of seats together. Most took later round tickets, the rest took passes, none left angry. One couple said they really want to see assigned seating and are much closer to us but getting frustrated as this has happened to them twice. BA...

Manager Communication: We knocked out lots of prep for the weekend.  Should need just maintenance prep throughout. Dry shake and sugar for the Kree works best without the stencil.  Just a tiny bit of sugar and swirl it a little with a cocktail pick. St Patrick's Day Parade goes right in front of us.  I sent out a heads up to everyone but wanted to mention it here too. Cut the second downstairs bartender just after the sevens rush, cut the upstairs third after the shift from the sevens to nines.  Got great bar business after the sevens, with people here til midnight from that push.  Also a solid bar crowd after the 9:30 let out! May need to redistribute some of the rocks glasses and pints back downstairs tomorrow. Jameson Menu is in the doc Customer Comments: Lots of people here for the first time.  Many positive comments about what we have done to the space. Also, several returned tickets from people not wanting to sit front row in theater...

Jesse 3/14

Manager Communication: Steady day of service, we had a surprise 60 ticket Captain Marvel to kick us off. There was one server in the theatre and Gerard and I jumped in to take orders and run food and beverage. Great communication from the staff to make sure this went smoothly. Same on the back end of the night with Renee; same theatre and film, nice surprise push. Again, excellent work by all covering. Had a technical issue with Smoke stopping and starting and then shutting off towards the very end. Apologized to the theatre, gave all guests passes and invited them to the bar for comped Gansett or SixPoint (we had some leftover free product, figured why not). Guests were in oddly great spirits about it and super appreciative, hanging for extra rounds in a couple of cases and leaving happy. I don't think we processed any refunds. We tried to iSi with Pineapple Juice and Food Coloring today and, not sure if we were doing something different, but as soon as it dispensed it did so ...

Benjamin 3/13

Manager Communication: Ash had the burnt sugar syrup explode on her when she added the water.  Everyone was fine, but there was burnt sugar everywhere.  I adjusted the recipe so that we let it cool first before adding the water and then heat it back up to dissolve it.  This has been corrected in all the bar books. In the iSi's, there is blue pineapple juice foam.  make sure to shake it before applying it.  We no longer have to shake the kree, just pour it in the glass, and put one small dot of pineapple foam in the center.  There is an iSi on both levels.  The recipe is just pineapple juice and enough blue food coloring to make it blue. There are more chargers in Kitchen Office, but we should order some chargers for the iSi's Decent Marvel turnout.  We got caught up on batching and whatnot.  Still got a bit more to do for the weekend. We had plenty of Barry Lyndon in bubblers, so held off on batching it and got caught up on the more ...

Jesse 3/12

Manager Communication: Theatre sales were moderate all day, an actually surprising pick up of business for the late round tonight kept us at a steady clip all day for the staffing we had. Ash was hit by a car yesterday and we pretty banged up; we sent her home, swung Jen upstairs and had Rebecca work the beer dinner and close Lobby Bar. Nice push for late rounds with all theatres routed to HiRes and a crowd at the bar after Clueless. Customer Comments: Had lots of first time guests here for Clueless and got 20 or so of them to the bar for at least a round afterwards. It was most of their first times here, but I was made many promises that it wouldn't be their lasts. One guest in lobby disappointed that we were not showing They Shall Not Grow Old anymore. BAR Staff Observations: Susan and Jen did a great job at HiRes, I poured most of the beer for the party while Rebecca supported, worked all three theatres downstairs and handled guests with MODs. Everyone just stepped up. F...

Benjamin 3/11

Manager Communication: Slow night boosted by decent Marvels.  What a difference a day makes... We got caught up on batch and figured out a solution for the blue on top of the Kree. Also worked out a cocktail for Apollo 11.  Will have batch recipe by Wednesday. A customer came out to the bar with a Root Beer float with two straws asking if there was alcohol in it.  He said his daughter had sipped some, and was understandably upset.  We got him a virgin one immediately and comped his entire check.  He left not angry, but this was a bad mistake.  We talked to the runners seriously about it.  We may want to consider sending the booze on the side.  I know this is only the second time, but that is far too many.   Customer Comments: We need to get a staff only sign on the stantions in front of the stairwell to the kitchen.  Had two people walk right past the stantions, and this has been happening occasionally. BAR Staff Observatio...

Mar 10 Jesse

Manager Communication: Another strong service tonight, a perfect mirror of yesterday's volume with the only exception being a slow last show of Captain Marvel. That gave us the requisite time to batch at the end of the night. We did run in to some shortages during the shift worth discussing so we are ready for weekends like this in the future. We ran thin and should have higher quantity back ups of Firewalk, Alfredo, Lemonade and Iced Tea behind the bar. On Saturdays and Sundays the cocktail well needs to have another 3-compartment for NA Bev backups to avoid the constant need to fill. Also, the frozens should be filled to the 3-gallon mark on both sides so that we don't run in to refilling and putting out partially frozen cocktails. Customer Comments: Had a guest at the bar returns a drink because it had a piece of glass in it. He did not drink it, upon inspection the glass had a chip on the inside lip. Possibly Knocked by an ice scoop, we need to be more careful. Bought h...

Benjamin 3/10 Brunch

Manager Communication: Sold high on Captain Marvel from the 10:30 onward.  Good sales in the whole building.  Spring is here.  We ran solid with Ash downstairs solo and 2 up from 12 to 3.  Michael was feeling under the weather, so I sent him home as soon as the mid got in.  If he had stayed, we would have been able to knock out batching early, so right crew size.  But because he left, batching had to wait for the closers to get here. There were very few rollups left for the openers.  This should be a point of emphasis now that we are getting busy.  The second to last out needs to get us very stocked every day. Projectionist was late today and the movies were not on auto start because the time change.  We noticed in time for Rachel to contact Dylan P and figure out how to get everything started manually.  We missed some preshows, but everything started within 5 minutes of when it was supposed to.  Gerard and I ran around the b...

Jesse 3/9

Manager Communication: A truly breakneck pace to the day, especially when we got into the 1 o clock rounds and beyond. Captain Marvel killed for us all day long, selling out all showtimes in Theatre 1 from 1 pm to the late, final show. Theatres sold out for all but the latest showing and still performed incredibly well. Other theatres sold as well, crushing both bars with both guests before and after movies and also slamming service bar. Theatres 1&2 had good spreads all day, so bartenders held it down with minimal expo from managers. Great help from servers tonight both coming to run their own drinks and also staying for run shifts afterwards and posting up in theatres to run to seats. Food and drink rarely sat long. For how busy today was and how relentless it was as well, no major hiccups. A really great service. Customer Comments: Had a guest at the bar complain that in the theatre, policing for disruptive behavior is not as good as it should be and they wished some guests ...

Benjamin 3/8

Manager Communication: Really good night, three fully sold out Captain Marvels including a 9:30!  And 57 for the last one.  Decently full in all theaters for the sevens. Low one bartender, but made it work with long shifts for the openers.  Everyone rocked it and Ryan killed it downstairs solo after the Sevens were loaded in.  I had Ryan close the downstairs after the 10's rush and brought him upstairs to help with the post 9:30 theater rush.  Unfortunately, that never came.  I cut Dylan and had Ryan close with William. If someone can make a better out of order system for the far left stall in the downstairs women's room, I would appreciate it.  My solution was on the fly. Bar was busy all night, with big lines as well as drinkers.  Had people drinking until close to 1 AM.  Best Friday lates in theaters elsewhere as well. Customer Comments: A few people commented on how good Apollo 11 was! BAR Staff Observations: Really good ni...

Nick Thursday 3/7/19

Manager Communication: Not much to report tonight it was a very smooth night and everyone did a good job. BAR Staff Observations: Great crew tonight. Captain Marvel brought out a pretty good crew, decent bar business. FOH Staff Observations: The 7s were a little hectic on the first floor. There were only two servers in the three theaters with about 90 tickets sold. Then Connor was alone on the first floor for the last round. There were 2 customers in 3, but he did not see them so they were not greeted until I went down to route their drinks up about an hour in to the movie. Luckily they did not want anything. They actually were munching on outside candy. Prep List : We are all prepped up on the new special. and we have enough shrub for more. Benjamin, we adjusted the shrub recipe today, so it will be a little different for next time.

Benjamin 3/6

Manager Communication: The 2:1 honey syrup and the strawberry shrub are in the walkin on the ingredients shelf.  The Alfredo was transferred to store and pours after the bubblers were cleaned. Adriana put up her shift around 2 with a note that she was feeling sick. No one had picked it up by 4:45/  Since theaters were slow everywhere, I talked to Ash who was fine with staying a bit longer.  I told Adriana to stay home.  I had Ash and Elial close the downstairs bar quickly as soon as Madonna sat, and Elial wanted the first cut.  Ash stayed for the very start of the party, and Ben and Jay took it from there.  Everything worked smoothly from the bartender's ends. Theaters were slow aside from Madonna.  Preparty was mainly at the downstairs bar, with me trying to shuffle them upstairs. The DJ was late for the preparty, so upstairs music didn't start til 7.  Our sound system also wasn't getting very loud, but may have been her playing her musi...

Mar 5 Jesse

Manager Communication: Slow day today throughout, we started at $361 in sales and peppered in some walk ins to round it out, but overall a very slow night. Kept a few nice sized groups at the bar through, so that gave the bar some life. Cut to 1 down, 2 up for the 7s and then cut Lobby bar for the final round. Went as thin as we could all night while still cleaning all shelves, organizing the storage cabinets and breaking out/organizing the liquor room. Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Good crew, no issues. FOH Staff Observations: Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Special Events? Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 86ed / counts on items: Prep List: R&D comp checks: Over/Short on Banks: Lobby bar bank was $12 over, brought it to HiRes thinking it may just come out in the wash. Manager Communication:  Very slow day, had the downstairs bar closed by 9 pm.  Malka helped close a bit of the upstairs.  Decent bar business for how slow it was.  Decent turnout for Lego first round cause of the snow day. No geyser.  Maybe cause of "snow day" Customer Comments: 1 Customer told Ash that this was going to be his regular bar. BAR Staff Observations: Solid, not much action. FOH Staff Observations: Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Special Events? Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 86ed / counts on items: Low on Rootbeer.  Kitchen still has some. Mar 3 Jesse

Manager Communication: Steady early afternoon and mid showings, but the show really put the kibosh on our late business and walk ins for the 7s; they barely grew from their starting numbers. Cut to one bar for the 10 o clock round, no bar runner and 2 bartenders total. Had a productive cleaning afternoon and evening; consolidated cambros, scrubbed the shelves in the walk in and the tracks of the low boys. Customer Comments: We had a crew camp out on the video game machine for a few hours glad to be out of the cold, said our cocktails were top notch and ran up a nice tab. BAR Staff Observations: Good team today, no issues. FOH Staff Observations: Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Special Events? Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 86ed / counts on items: Prep List: We had a hefty prep list for a short prep shift tomorrow, so Ash gave Ben a list of needs and I told him to knock a few off so he can get everything done tomorrow and not have to cut any prep short. Benjamin 3/3 Brunch

Manager Communication: Sold out Sound of Music for Brunch and Spirderman for the 1's.  Otherwise medium sales.  Not much of note otherwise. Decent bar crowd for the afternoons. Customer Comments: Overheard a woman telling her son about Lego Movie "They had jokes for adults and for kids, just like they had a cider for you and a cider for me."  Made my day and wanted to share. BAR Staff Observations: Really strong performance for the busy times all around.   FOH Staff Observations: Lots of helping hands in theater 1 for Sound of Music.  Drinks were run to tables quickly.  Killed it on the rush. Hiring/Training: Sick Leave/ Call outs: Eva came in with a bit of a limp from a toe injury from her other job.  She thought she could work, but it got worse and she took Ash's cut and Ash stayed on longer. Mar 2 Jesse

Manager Communication: Busy all around tonight. Busy theaters, steady bar. We had heavy 7s with a sold out Th 1, 3, 7, 4 and 6. Slammed both bars, incredibly well handled at service bar. Had to grab a few extra servers getting cut for the drink rush but otherwise, trays flew out and drinks went to guests promptly. We had a good bar crowd throughout the day, really picking up around 4 pm and staying 1-2 deep with multiple tables eating and drinking through the night. Great push after the 7s let out and Bohemian Rhapsody was lining up. Strong service. Customer Comments: Two guests were concerned that in Roma, there are a few moments with silence but subtitles during dialogue. They thought it was our mistake, we explained that it is part of the film after confirming with projection. They weren't upset by it, but said it artistically threw them off. Manager Communication: Very slow 7's but busier than usual 10s.  The early 10s definitely help.  Good adult drinkers for most of the late shows, and a solid bar crowd with most seats and tables full til 10 30.  After the drink push for the 10s, went down to one bartender up and one down. Customer Comments: In theater 1 after the 7's, a woman said "You guys are awesome" to all the servers. BAR Staff Observations: Got good and prepped for the weekend.  Susan and William handled the higher than normal 10s with a full bar masterfully. FOH Staff Observations: It would be great if we could have the food runners grab numbers off the tables if the food they run is all of it.  When it is busy, it gets difficult for bartenders to step out.
