Manager Communication: Had a good crowd come to Trees after Renaissance thank to Ariel keeping the Beyonce energy up. There's a strange odor coming from the Trees dishpit area. Not exactly sure what's causing the smell however we touched up the drains in the area at the end of the night. Menus were changed in lobby. Only two menus were there today. -DL BAR Staff Observations: Calm night overall. We were able to let both Ashley and Matthew go around 7:30. Ian and Tevon were more than able to handle the rushes from Renaissance and Titantic. Natasha crushed it in lobby alone without needing assistance. FOH Staff Observations: Vlad made sure to take care of trash before leaving at 10 tonight. Only a small bag of trash was thrown out at the end of the night. They threw it out gently to avoid complaints. -DL Prep List: Tevon did a large amount of batching to get ahead for tomorrow. Manager Communication: The ice machine in Trees was off when we came in today. It was full of ice when we came in and seems to be working fine. Gabrielle was great in the lobby and cleaned the Bubbler before she was cut. Matthew agreed to stay an extra hour to support for the event in Trees if needed. -DL Very smooth evening, 1/2 Trees buyout included. The pool was small and everyone stepped up. Jeshua held down Lobby while Matthew and Lydia absolutely crushed service. Matthew was excellent at directing afterparty guests.  Raising Cane in TH1 had a steady drink push. -AB Special Events? Going To Mars - The Nikki Giovanni Project. The 1/2 Trees buyout went smooth as butter. Matthew took the lead for the first hour which was a huge help. Manager Communication: Ian was able to cut fruit and fully restock while taking care of guest. Jeshua was brought upstairs to help for Trivia alongside Ian and Tevon. Theaters were mellow for most of the afternoon. Bluets and Oils Blues is now special for tonight's Trivia. May need to switch the mystery cocktail after tonight. -DL  BAR Staff Observations: Jeshua was extremely helpful today by being willing to stay a bit longer and help out upstairs for the Trivia rush. Manager Communication: I noticed an issue with the Trees menu's. There is no "Jack Daniel's" listed and there are two "Casamigo's Reposado" at different prices. Obviously one is for Blanco but just letting you know. I also checked Theater menu's and those were all fine. -AB2 There was a solid little bar crowd for Volcano and Mandy. There were 2 separate instances tonight with guests. 1. Was with a lady in the Lobby that Nathaniel handled 2. Had an issue with someone in Th. 2 for the last round and required my help escorting him out and having a presence in lobby in case he came back. A lot happened here. Manager Communication: There was a good deal of walk-ins buying tickets in the lobby. Mainly older peeps seeing Priscilla, Napoleon, and The Holdovers. -AB2 Last round was relatively quiet, with Killers and The Holdovers selling out some smaller theaters during the dinner round. JH BAR Staff Observations: Jenna and Maya were great today. Really appreciated Jenna being super flexible today and coming in early for Natasha and Maya being willing to switch to Trees. There were no issues as far as service went for Bar staff. Pretty smooth day. -AB2 Jenna and Maya were able to get out of here shortly before seven, and Tevon was cut before ten.  Darius and Jeshua did a great job closing both bars without issue. Manager Communication: Very steady start to our Saturday. Miguel prepped for both bars. Maya and Lydia were a great brunch duo in Trees. Ian got in and batched his little heart out. We were able to make some cuts from there. AB   Matthew needed a MOD a bit more tonight with Dwight not being in. His number (and my numbers) no longer work in Filmbot to do E-Credits. Besides that he was able to hold down Lobby by himself after letting Lydia go. -DL FOH Staff Observations: Had to keep an extra eye on glassware during the evening rush. I know this is a constant topic but servers are still not clearing glassware or brining it to Trees until the end of the movie. With the breaks in between movies being so short we end up having to pull someone from doing another task just to clean glassware and hope they cool off before we use it for the next theater. Manager Communication:  Another day with a lot of walk-in ticketing during the first two rounds, causing a lot of screenings to rise in sales during preshow.  Overall, we were well staffed across the building and service ran very smoothly this morning. JH Overall busy night in the theaters and in Trees. Jeshua was great with the bar guest while Ian handled service bar like the pro he is. Matthew was able to support where needed in the moment, in Trees and in Lobby bar. Manager Communication:   Super thankful for this TEAM today. Holiday shifts aren't always easy, but bartenders were positive and helpful from beginning to end. Lots of walk-in tickets at the start and then we slowed back down for the night. We made the most out of a sleepy Thursday. Maya got some much needed deep-cleaning done in lobby and Miguel held down Trees so Tevon could batch some necessities. Jeshua always has such a tidy close, and tonight was no different. Manager Communication:  Happy Holidays! Had a great start in Trees with a good amount of people walking in for drinks soon as we opened the door. Matthew was able to help the guests and service tickets without needing much of a hand from me. Gabrielle was quick with the service tickets and still juiced for both bars. -DL Got Gabrielle out of here after lobby bar was stocked & bubblers were cleaned. Matthew did a little batching and got Trees reset before he left. Lydia & Maya held it down in Trees for the rest of the night. Manager Communication: The  "No Batch List" is updated in the bar prep area. Will readjust on Tuesday. Darius joined Tevon upstairs while Ashley batched. And Ian was able to handle lobby alone in the meantime. Everyone did great throughout the shift moving where needed.-DL FOH Staff Observations: James was extremely insightful with giving drink knowledge and bar policies while training Allis this evening.-DL Prep List: Ashley did a large amount of batching during the slow evening.  Will need to juice tomorrow. -DL Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Empire Order arrived today. Manager Communication: Cut Jenna and Lydia pretty early. Had Tevon in Lobby and Darius in Trees so everything went very smooth. Had a lil pop with Darius in Trees. Was a lot of fun. Manager Communication: I made the decision to rock the Bluets cocktail with no garnish for our Mystery cocktail. -AB2 The water nozzle for the dish pit behind Trees is still broken/leaking. I know it has been reported already but just wanted to add that the water valve for it was turned off in the morning when I came in so just a reminder to turn it off when you close and to turn it on when you get in. -AB2 I had a couple ideas for the bar area in Trees. Just wanted confirmation about them.  I think it would be beneficial to have a c-fold dispenser right next to dish behind Trees because the closest place to grab c-folds is on the complete opposite side of the bar. I looked some up on Amazon and can order it myself but just wanted approval. I also was talking with Maya and Jenna about a little "L" shaped shelf in the corner of Trees just above the opened red wine area. Manager Communication: Steady night of service, with Trees also hosting a birthday party.  Despite sales, service was relatively mellow at both bars. JH BAR Staff Observations: It was a quiet start so I cut Maya at 1:30 when Jeshua came in. -ND Darius, Gabrielle, and Jeshua were great up at Trees, with Gabrielle taking the lead on service and Darius and Jeshua focusing more on the bar guests and the birthday party.  Matthew and Lydia handled lobby without issue, even with theaters having back-to-back sold out screenings.  Mids got out of here once each bar had settled into the late round, and closers closed without issue. Manager Communication: Limes did not come in today with Baldor but we picked some up locally to get through tonight and tomorrow. Manager Communication:  Decent evening for a Sunday.  Third round was pretty busy across the building, while the last round had a couple of screenings with no tickets sold. JH Customer Comments: Had a guest come to lobby around 7:45pm to complain about the noise from Th7 (6:30pm Taylor Swift) bleeding into Th3 (6:00pm KotFM).  I reached out to projection to see if the volume could be brought down any more in Th7, as Will had already adjusted it earlier.   I know this was noted in last night's floor blog, too.  Taylor Swift is a bit of an outlier, due to its sustained volume and bass, which can be heard/felt at lobby bar when playing in Th7. I don't know how many more weekends we will have Taylor Swift, but maybe we could corral her into Th5 for the remainder?  It doesn't share walls with any theaters, so should cut those complaints. JH Had two pairs of couples try to come in together for the 9:30pm Anatomy of a Fall in Th6, but we had no tickets sold....

Manager Communication:   Openers crushed it, obviously. Natasha batched a ton (including Bloody Mary concentrates!) and Maya got us prepped with fresh juice. Once Lydia and Ian were in we were able to reset the bar for some busy Marvel pushes. Manager Communication: The handle for the ice bucket in Trees broke today. Replaced it with the spare from the liquor room. -DL The Frozen Machine for the Lime slushie was giving issues all night in Trees. We were getting product from the lobby instead. The slush was too cold and solid that nothing was able to go through. Close to the end of the night I got in there and tried breaking it down as much as possible with a bar spoon. The machine was off for hours at this point and it still was very solid and had many clumps. I have no experience with these frozens and not completely sure how to fix certain issue's. I have several theories to a solution that both Darius and Tevon helped me come to. Either the product is not getting stirred enough before going into the machine (might have to use the immersion blender to be certain the product does not clump up) or that the setting was put too high or both. Meaning that it was on setting 5 as opposed to setting 3 or so. I decided to have...

AB Customer Comments: There was a man (Richard Rigaud) who came back to our Lobby area after causing a little commotion last week. Both instances, he tried to order a drink and his card declined. His last visit, he had the cops called on him by his taxi driver for not paying. Tonight wasn't so dramatic, but he has been making bartenders uncomfortable (charges phone for hours, falls asleep, heckles, etc).  He is also banned from other bars in the neighborhood. Manager Communication:  Brunch open was very smooth! Kelsey came and covered Miguel's mid shift and helped us juice for the rest of the weekend. AB Busy, busy evening, with the third round basically selling out in every theater.  Trees also filled up with a big crowd throughout dinner, with plenty of people enjoying the later DJ set.  Really bustling up until about eleven, when the service rush gradually tapered off. Manager Communication: NuCo gate continues. no backups were delivered today. I called and was able to speak to a manager who gave me her direct extension number and she is aware of what is going on. She says she will call me tomorrow morning with an ETA. If we don't hear anything her name is Seeta ext#30658. Our customer number is 656749.
