Manager Communication: 

Brunch open was very smooth! Kelsey came and covered Miguel's mid shift and helped us juice for the rest of the weekend. AB

Busy, busy evening, with the third round basically selling out in every theater.  Trees also filled up with a big crowd throughout dinner, with plenty of people enjoying the later DJ set.  Really bustling up until about eleven, when the service rush gradually tapered off. JH

BAR Staff Observations: 

Great work tonight behind both bars.  We kept up with tickets and guests all night, with some well-timed restocks in between.  Natasha batched us up for the night before clocking out, and Maya was able to clock out once Matthew arrived to close Lobby.  

It was pretty much nonstop at Trees from 5:30-9:30pm, and lobby also rocked a very busy dinner round, with some late night pops.  Having Dwight down there to help deal with Filmbot overflow was enormously helpful, as I was glued to Trees for a decent chunk of time.  Once the final films had seated on all floors, Kelsey and Ian were able to get out of here.  Matthew, Jeshua, and Gabrielle closed without issue. JH

FOH Staff Observations: 

The floor mats were not washed again and are overwhelmingly sticky. Vlad is re-communicating with the new porter tonight. AB. 

Just a reminder for Th4/6, especially when business levels are what they were tonight, to bring down dirty glassracks to Trees and not kitchen.  It adds extra time for us restocking and chilling glassware at Trees, which can impede service.  Dani and I mentioned it to the servers in Th4/6 once we realized what had happened, and they were great about it the rest of the night. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs: 

Miguel has a dental emergency and couldn't make his lobby mid shift. He can't see a dentist until Monday, and will probably be in too much pain for his brunch open tomorrow (Gil put Miguel's sick hours in the calendar for today). We were able to maneuver Kelsey to lobby bar today. AB

Miguel's lobby open tomorrow will be covered by Tevon.  We are going to run with just an opener and closer in lobby tomorrow.  I spoke with Ariel and Dana before making any changes, as they will be managing tomorrow, and they were on board with the change.  Schedulefly has been updated, and anyone who had their shift altered has been spoken with about the changes. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 

Had a couple instances tonight where a runner would come to Trees with a ticket, that had a guest number on it, and they were unable to find the guests.  It kept happening during some of our busiest moments, which really brought us to a halt while we had to track down which bartender took the order.  In all cases the ticket had a guest number, and the guest had a numbered table tent in front of them, runners just were not seeing them. JH

The baozi on the Duck Baos tend to come up cold with a crisp exterior, not fluffy and steamed.  I don't know if there is anything that can, or should, be changed that may change this for service, but it has been my experience when ordering them or seeing them come up to Trees. JH

Count on Priscilla. We don't have the Apologue Aronia for Bluets and Oil Fields. The last Four Roses Small Batch is currently in Trees. AB

Can we order fig puree for fig syrup (Mean Streets)? AB

Waiting on product to batch more Bluets & Oil Fields and Paloma, so be sure to not have bartenders batch either until we get our orders in this week. JH

White chalk for the pool table chalkboard will be arriving from Amazon tomorrow.  Just toss it up in the pool table maintenance corner on the shelf in the bar storage closet.  Also, one of the black rubber holders for the cue chalk is missing!  The red cord was there, which I have brought back to the bar storage closet. JH
