Manager Communication: Pretty busy day at both bars up until the late round where sales tapered off. Trees lounge was pretty busy throughout the day as well. Too soon to tell if it's the projector causing people to stick around or the rain, but I'd like to think it was the former. EA BAR Staff Observations: Solid opens by Andrea and Natasha again today. By the time I got there, both the mids were in trees handling all the front facing guests and assisting Natasha with drink tickets. She took charge behind the bar and kept everyone on task. After Tevon came in to close, I was able to move Tashi back down to lobby and eventually get Andrea and Natasha out after both bars were restocked and staff had a chance to get family meal. Eliel stayed behind today a bit to catch us up on some batching with Tevon who happened to come by early (thanks so much for that!).  As the final round in the lobby was going to be pretty slow, I was able to get Tashi out of here a bit earlier while Dariu...

Manager Communication : Busy busy busy on all three floors throughout the day.  The weather definitely drove day-of ticket sales up, and we were nonstop on all three floors. JH Same thing for evening and late rounds. It was a steady stream all night with a good number of people in Trees through last call. EA Customer Comments : I have noticed several guests in the last few weeks who get incredibly upset when they are told they cannot bring strollers into the theater with them.  Could we get some signage in lobby marking the landing as stroller/scooter parking more clearly, as well as a note that guests are welcome to ask staff for assistance getting up the stairs, should they need it?  I think this would go a long way in keeping those guests from arguing with bartenders about the policy, as I've seen it sour a few people who are first time guests before they even get to the theater. Manager Communication: Steady night tonight. Good bar business, but never too busy.  I Spoke to Matthew and Darius today about the lead bartender job, and let them know that we went with candidates with a little more experience this time, but encouraged them to apply again next time. They were very understanding and appreciative of the consideration.  ND I Trained Natasha on comps voids and ecredits tonight, she should be good to go as a lead. ND Staff Meeting Agenda notes : The last bar mat arrived for Trees, to fill in the gap.  There are now four full-size mats behind the bar, and we moved the small mat to in front of the sink by the Trees glasswasher. JH Prep List: bitters Ordering/Receiving/Shipping : Sani-strips, one of the Nu-Foamicides, remote caddies, and water filters arrived from Amazon, as well as glasses from Webstaurant. JH The Tobacco bitters for the coffee & cigarettes has still not arrived. I will bring a substitute on Tuesday to finish off that keg. ...

Manager Communication: Pretty good evening. Never got too busy but Highlander gave us a little bump at Trees.  BAR Staff Observations: Tevon and Tashi opened, Matthew closed lobby and Ian Trees. Manager Communication : Another mellow start to the day. Trees saw a pop right before the event in TH1, but otherwise a quiet afternoon.  I forgot if I mentioned it yesterday, but the remotes for the projector are on the back bar shelf by the liquor license.  Input 2 is the source for the projector. EA Pretty busy dinner round and a pop after the Q&A ended but not as much as before and ended around 10:30pm. EL BAR Staff Observations: Openers Tashi and Ashley left shortly after the Doc N Roll let out. Ashley got some batching done. Matthew and Darius closed, everyone did a great job.  Items on Count: High Life is on a count (57) Special Events?: Doc N Roll brought most of the Trees business today.  Pay Outs: $100 DJ Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Placed an amazon order for Sani Test Strips for both the kitchen and Trees. They should be in on Friday.

Manager Communication: Quiet start to the day. Dinner round was busier with the sold out TH1 leading the bulk of service tickets to Trees. The bar itself was busy before and directly after with guests staying through midnight after the event was over. The first floor was mostly quiet for the day. EA BAR Staff Observations: Eliel and Maya opened the bars today and were able to get a lot of organizing and cleaning done. Maya organized the corner dri deck @ Trees and got rid of garnishes and ingredients that were from last season. She also organized the dry storage above the service bar and stayed through TH1 letting out from the event. Eliel was cut after he was able to support the initial TH1 rush and gave everyone a break. Miguel took over the lobby after he came in and was able to run service tickets and box office with no trouble. Manager Communication: Slow start to the day with a big push at Trees in the evening for Volo and No Budge. Had a good overlap for a brief second until the No Budge crowd went into the theater. They stayed at Trees until midnight after the film let out.  BAR Staff Observations: Ashley and Eliel were well into their opens by the time I got in with Eliel prepping fresh juice for the bars and Ashley setting up Trees for the night. After some batching Eliel was cut for the night and Ashley stayed through No Budge getting out and getting an initial drink in everyone's hands. Tevon held it down at Trees for the rest of the night with some brief support from myself. Jenna ran the lobby bar and closed without incident. EA Special Events? Manager Communication : Pretty busy first couple of rounds then tapered off a bit. Trees had a little crowd. EL Weather was just perfect for the afternoon into the evening. Dinner round was pretty consistent at Trees and the lobby saw a good amount of action as well as TH 3/5/7 were all pretty sold out around the same time. Late round saw us slow down quite a bit, but there were still some people here to keep us going. EA Customer Comments: There was an incident in the lobby today involving a guest, Michael Hall, and according to his email to us, two of our staff members who turned out to be Darius and Tevon. Although I do not know the exact specifics of what happened first hand as I learned about this through Wyatt after the email was sent, I was able to gather some information with him regarding what happened as Maya was the bartender at the time. Manager Communication : Busy first round in the big theaters, and the second round filled out a bunch of the smaller ones, too.  Pretty consistently busy from when doors opened up all the way into the second round. JH It just kept going from there. We were consistently busy until the last round sat. This included many bodies at Trees. The rain going in and out all afternoon into the evening helped with guest retention as some opted to stay at Trees after their film ended while they they planned their next move. EA BAR Staff Observations : As mentioned above, it was nonstop with a sold out Kiki's Delivery Service seating Th2 once doors were opened.  Andrea kept up with the pushes from Th1&2, and Natasha was a great help at keeping Trees and Lobby stocked with garnishes.  Maya helped Andrea get through the second Mario seating, and was able to float back down to Lobby once Matthew arrived.  JH Big day for the PM gang as well. Manager Communication : A mellow first round, with the third floor and Th2 keeping us busy. Dinner round sold really well across all floors, so prepping in the first round was key. JH It was pretty non stop once the dinner round got rolling and through 10:30. Good service! ND BAR Staff Observations : Gabrielle and Ian did a really great job stocking both bars for open. Once closers got in, Lobby focused on prepping juice and garnish for Trees, and the second round kept Trees’ service pass solidly busy. JH Maya still needs some guidance at trees. She has a really good attitude about it, but is not yet at the same level as the other bartenders. We had her stay customer facing all night to get her more used to it. I am confident she will get there, it will just take some repetition. Manager Communication: Pretty good night. So much going on, Trees had a nice crowd throughout the night.  BAR Staff Observations: Tevon opened Lobby and Tashi opened Trees. Matthew closed Lobby and worked during film feast. Tevon and Tashi stayed at Trees while Ian batched and they stayed until after Shouting at the Screen sat. Ian had a great easy close.  Special Events? The skate event in theater 3 gave us a small bar pop. Manager Communication : Quiet start to the day, but the pace picked up pretty quickly after family meal. Tables filled up for Trivia and the addition of more 4 tops packed us to the gills. EA Trees was pretty nonstop with Trivia, some well-sold theaters on the third floor, and Melancholia in Th1 seating shortly after Trivia began.  Staff had no issues keeping up with the pace and tray were never left to linger. JH BAR Staff Observations : Slow start for Eliel and Darius. They were able to get some prep out of the way before shifting their focus to trivia. Manager Communication: Very quiet day at the bars with no Volo to keep us busy. The weather cooled down quite a bit and it got chilly towards the end of the night. Straight forward day.  I rolled out the new bar floor mats, took the best three that we had for lobby and threw away all the ratty old mats with no support.  I guess a lot of people were unaware that the front gate is working? Just putting it out there for all to see. EA BAR Staff Observations: All the staff was great about accommodating last minute changes and positions. Gabrielle did a lobby open/close and got a lot of deep cleaning done. It looks really good down there. Jenna opened up Trees and was able to get out after Eliel was done batching in the back. We have a quart of lemon and lime juice at Trees for tomorrow. Eliel ran trees with no issue and closed us out. Manager Communication: Busy morning with some servers out so I ran drinks for a bit after opening. Mostly for theater 3. Then the second and third rounds crushed. EL Made it through another Mario Mania weekend. The afternoon round was well in its way by the time I got in, but the bar made quick work of the tickets. Dinner round was also very well sold, but we had a quiet late round. EA Customer Comments: A family of six left Air in theater 7 as soon as they sat, complaining that the theater is two small and the website should have told them. I offered them a credit, but they started raising their voices saying they wouldn’t ever come back. I gave them a refund and sent them on their way. They were very offended by the theater's size. EL BAR Staff Observations : Great openers! Ashley was a great mid, Tashi had to leave. More on that below. It was very busy. Manager Communication : Busy day from the moment doors opened.  Mario continues to crush sales, along with ST&B, Air, and Dungeons.  Lots of walk ins, with sales growing steadily throughout the day. JH Same thing for the dinner round and late round. Everything throughout dinner was pretty sold out, while late round saw only a small dip in sales. EA BAR Staff Observations : Natasha rocked her clopen, and Andrea sailed through Spoons smoothly, with Maya arriving at showtime to help with the service push.  Once Tashi arrived, I was able to bring Maya back down to Lobby, and Natasha got out of here around four.  Andrea was able to get out of here once all the closers were in, and Trees absolutely crushed dinner round service which was pretty non-stop from 4:30 until 6:30. Manager Communication:  Thanks for holding down the fort while I was away. Great work all around! Service was great tonight. A little slower in trees than most Fridays, especially late night, probably due to our biggest selling movie being a kids movie. But still a solid night.  BAR Staff Observations: Good crew tonight. Natasha picked up Ashleys shift since she was in finals. It was great working with her, I never get to usually.  Special Events? We had the local parents in again today. Manager Communication:  Pretty good night. Constant Trees crowd, especially the Bring it on crowd. EL Somebody grabbled the D&D concentrate when restocking at Trees, instead of the Finger.  I replaced it and added water to the leftover concentrate but looks like 2 quarts worth were passed as Fingers in my tea. EL BAR Staff Observations : Darius and Tevon had great opens, and I was able to send Tevon up to Trees to help Darius get through a Mario seating once Matthew arrived to close Lobby.  Since Lobby was a bit more mellow, Matthew was able to get both bars set up with fresh juice, so we are prepped for the PSP group at Trees tomorrow. Manager Communication : Beautiful day outside. We had a lot of walk ins during the first round and a lot of foot traffic. School is still out and this will probably be the norm for the rest of the week. EA Great evening, Trees remained busy and Karaoke brought a good sized crowd.  Customer Comments: A guest who is a little person commented to Gabrielle that it was impossible for them to reach the bathroom pumps in the bathroom because they're so far over the sink.  BAR Staff Observations : Both bars were ready by doors. Tashi continues to improve and is very good about taking notes. Gabrielle held it down in the lobby until Darius got in to close.  Tashi still gets a little frazzled at times, but is starting to find their groove. EA Darius batched and Tashi stayed till both bar and service was manageable, around 10pm. Darius had a great Lobby close and Matthew had a great close at Trees.  Special Events? Manager Communication: Beautiful weather out there with a good amount of foot traffic. It was a solid dinner round with a good amount of walk ins followed by a slower late round. It was quiet at Trees today without Trivia, but should be bolstered again tomorrow with the weather plus Karaoke. EA BAR Staff Observations : Tashi did a much better job with time management when opening today, implementing all of the notes from yesterday.   They were also able to handle the service push from the 4:15 Mario in Th1 without needing any assistance, which was great.  Miguel arrived shortly before doors open for his solo Lobby shift, and I had the bar prepped for him.  JH Tashi does indeed continue to grow and is great at asking questions or taking direction when they seem a little flustered. Manager Communication : Quite a busy Monday with a decently sold afternoon and dinner round. Volo kept Trees busy today and it felt great to be busy on a Monday again. EA BAR Staff Observations : Jenna opened Lobby without issue, and was a huge help in directing first-time guests to their theaters and explaining policy.  Tashi had a rough open at Trees, which primarily came down to time management.  Once Trees was fully situated, I had them take pictures of the service pass set up, as well as the mats, and we both went through the opening checklist in the binder together.  They will be opening Trees again tomorrow, so I will be sure to check in with them and make sure they're executing a more efficient open.  Once Mario began playing in the larger theaters, Tashi was really great about handling service bar solo.  We reviewed how to organize tickets and the most effective way to build, and they really excelled in handling two very busy service pushes solo.  ...

Manager Communication: Continuing the trend for a busy weekend, both bars were busy for pretty much the entirety of the day. Service felt seamless at both bars despite all the traffic in lobby and trees. EA Customer Comments: Super Mario brought out a lot of testy parents today who were less than pleased that we would not allow them to put their four year old child on their laps. I did a lot of the ticketing when I first came in to close to alleviate ticket times in the lobby and free up bartenders to make drinks. Though most were very understanding about the sold out shows, some bad eggs tried to cause a scene but were quickly pulled aside and spoken to. EA BAR Staff Observations: Once again the bar just crushed these short rounds with endless ticket streams. Natasha powered us through Trees all day and stayed a bit longer to help get us sorted so we wouldn't feel like we were ever behind. Manager Communication:  Busy, busy service all around today with it feeling pretty nonstop until around 11pm. Later on in the afternoon into the evening, Trees saw a good amount of people that kept the bar staff busy in between rushes. Lot's of drinks sold, but service felt seamless. EA BAR Staff Observations : Natasha and Tevon made sure both bars were stocked with product and glassware to start the day, and kept up with the continuous service pushes from the moment doors opened.  Big thanks to closers and Eliel last night for leaving us well stocked in the walk in.  We were able to power through a bunch of sold-out screenings and multiple restocks without having to lose anyone to batching until closers were in. Manager Communication: Very Busy Day and Night. It was great.  BAR Staff Observations: Great Team! They all worked hard batching, stocking, and keeping up with the flow of the theaters and Trees Lounge.  FOH Staff Observations: Great team supporting each other, running glassware, moving drinks. Great vibe tonight.  Staff Meeting Agenda notes : Trees definitely would have benefitted from a second bartender a little earlier in service, just something to keep an eye on for upcoming opening weekends that we anticipate large crowds for. Manager Communication: Mario was making waves today with a bunch of phone calls regarding future scheduling and availability. All the showings pretty much sold out. EA Evening was pretty busy and so was Trees Lounge.  Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Great opens by Gabrielle and Ashley as usual. Ashley navigated the pretty well sold TH2 Super Mario by herself before Matthew came in to support for the next round. Gabrielle held it down in the lobby by herself until Darius showed up to close. The weather was gorgeous outside.  Both the tap brushes and the carriage hooks for the lobby rail have been found and reinstalled. EA Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Seems like Tashi and Darius had pretty straight forward opens today. They seemed comfortable behind their bars and weren't in need of anything. After the closers came and everyone ate family meal, I had Darius start our batch catchup from yesterday and I took over once Trivia people were in.  Darius ran the floor service, but had a small walkout from non-regulars who managed to slip out while he believes he was at another table or picking up trees. Manager Communication: Pretty mellow start to the day, but it felt much busier than it was with the arrival of the DOH inspector. Dinner rounds in TH1/2 were decently sold and the late round for Texas Chainsaw Massacre kept the bar moving.  The Volo crowd brought in some good groups for some post softball beers and they were solidly here until nine PM. Good to see Mondays getting a small pop again.  We are low on sani test strips for the bars. Does kitchen or bar do the ordering for these? Manager Communication: It looks like it was an easy start to the day and quickly built up for the early afternoon round of D&D. Dinner round followed suit with some pretty well sold theaters before the quiet late round.  Jenn, I printed the Volo Specials before I left for the night and put them in your box. I also created a template using the Trivia/Karaoke table tent and copied over the logos from the ones you've used in the past. It is now named "Volo Table Tent" EA BAR Staff Observations: Jenna was gone before I got there, but Natasha and Tevon were up in Trees handling the tickets while Tashi in the lobby handling guests and ticketing. As soon as Maya was in, I sent her up to Trees to prep for the next D&D rush. Manager Communication : Busy start to the day, with theater sales steadily growing throughout the day. Dungeons is selling really well, and both John Wick and Everything Everywhere continue to pack theaters. JH Dinner felt nonstop all afternoon with drink tickets constantly flowing and the crowds @ Trees staying pretty lively until around 11:30ish. Dinner round was pretty sold out with late round seeing decent numbers as well.
