Monday 04.17 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Very quiet day at the bars with no Volo to keep us busy. The weather cooled down quite a bit and it got chilly towards the end of the night. Straight forward day. 

I rolled out the new bar floor mats, took the best three that we had for lobby and threw away all the ratty old mats with no support. 

I guess a lot of people were unaware that the front gate is working? Just putting it out there for all to see. EA

BAR Staff Observations: All the staff was great about accommodating last minute changes and positions. Gabrielle did a lobby open/close and got a lot of deep cleaning done. It looks really good down there. Jenna opened up Trees and was able to get out after Eliel was done batching in the back. We have a quart of lemon and lime juice at Trees for tomorrow. Eliel ran trees with no issue and closed us out. EA

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Miguel needed the day off for moving and, since sales were relatively mellow, Gabrielle was able to pull a solo Lobby shift and Jenna/Eliel were moved up to open/close Trees. JH

Special Events? No Volo this week as their game is taking place Tuesday this week.  I've spoken with them and let them know that while they can definitely stop by and pick up/drop off their equipment bag, we will not be running Volo specials as we have Trivia at Trees tomorrow. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: I noticed that the frozen areas are not getting done so I moved the side work to Sunday when the machines are getting cleaned anyways. That way it ensures that the walls and underneath are cleaned at the same time. I'll announce it in this weeks email. EA

Prep List: Finger concentrate? Belle De Jour, Jungle Bird, Hail Satan! EA

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor & Stumptown tomorrow. JH

Maintenance: One side of the frozen machine at Trees (the Strawberry Lemon/Fire Walk With Me split) had the motor give out this morning.  Edgar was able to replace the motor with the last one we could graverob from an out of commission frozen machine, and the machine ran fine after that. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
