Tuesday 4.18 Edgar/Jenn



Manager Communication: Quiet start to the day, but the pace picked up pretty quickly after family meal. Tables filled up for Trivia and the addition of more 4 tops packed us to the gills. EA

Trees was pretty nonstop with Trivia, some well-sold theaters on the third floor, and Melancholia in Th1 seating shortly after Trivia began.  Staff had no issues keeping up with the pace and tray were never left to linger. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Slow start for Eliel and Darius. They were able to get some prep out of the way before shifting their focus to trivia. EA

Tashi pretty much handled Lobby solo from about 6:30 onwards, as we had a large group of people showing up early for Trivia.  Eliel was great on the floor, Darius took the lead on theater tickets through several busy pushes, and Tevon navigated guest-facing service without any hiccups in service.  Great attitude and support throughout the night, which made a very busy night pass by quickly, JH

FOH Staff Observations: Brendan really makes an effort to be at the service pass once a busy theater opens, which is really helpful when there is a slow trickle of tickets at the start.  I noticed it over the weekend, and he continued to show up ready to support theaters other than his own tonight, too.

Additionally, James is similarly great about being aware of timing and service in other theaters, and can usually anticipate when extra hands will be needed to keep service running smoothly. JH

Special Events? Another very busy evening of Trivia, with all of the tables and bar taken up by guests.  Teams are still hesitant to use the Mezz since so much of Trivia is on the projection screen, but that actually creates some space for guests who are not partaking in Trivia.  We left the Mezz with six tables, with plenty of space in the Bar Storage Closet for the remaining tables and chairs.

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: We are down to one clean tablecloth, which has been returned to the container outside of the MOD office, with the dirty tablecloths placed in a plastic bag. JH

Prep List: Backup Trees cheaters will need to be made tomorrow.  Finger In My Tea and 42 Regular have both been placed on the Do Not Batch list, so keep an eye on stock levels behind both bars. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
