Saturday 04.08 Jenn/Edgar

Manager Communication:  Busy, busy service all around today with it feeling pretty nonstop until around 11pm. Later on in the afternoon into the evening, Trees saw a good amount of people that kept the bar staff busy in between rushes. Lot's of drinks sold, but service felt seamless. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Natasha and Tevon made sure both bars were stocked with product and glassware to start the day, and kept up with the continuous service pushes from the moment doors opened.  Big thanks to closers and Eliel last night for leaving us well stocked in the walk in.  We were able to power through a bunch of sold-out screenings and multiple restocks without having to lose anyone to batching until closers were in.

Once Tashi arrived, I sent Natasha upstairs to get Tevon through a Mario rush.  Lobby got a little busy during that push, but I was able to help Tashi navigate tickets and guests.  Once Ashley was in, both bars did a massive restock, and the sold out screenings kept all service passes busy.  Had a fair amount of people hanging out at Trees on and off throughout the days, generally waiting for theaters to open or just leaving.

Gabrielle, Ian, and Maya arrived as closers, and we were able to get Natasha and Tevon out of here shortly after everyone had a chance to grab family meal.  Really great work all around today, bartenders really showed up prepared and were great about communicating with each other and management.  That made a great deal of difference in the busier moments, especially when either myself or Edgar had to step away from expo. Not much more to add to this other than the team really supported each other today and went to grab thing as they could while dealing with endless tickets. Maya closed out the lobby after Tashi was cut for the day, an Ashley made back ups of all the Trees cheaters before she took off for the day. Gabrielle and Ian closed out Trees with no issues. EA

FOH Staff Observations: A lot of great hustle from servers and runners at both bars today, with a great emphasis, again, on consistent communication.  We were never hurting for glassware, and servers have really stepped up when it comes to communicating urgent needs to bartenders or managers at the service pass.  JH

Special Events? Had to cancel Brunch Club at Trees Lounge today due to technical issues. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Some servers have taken to pouring the Peach Tea or Ruby Hibiscus into the ice-filled pilsner glasses at the service pass.  Several bartenders have brought it to my attention, as it can cause a delay in drinks getting trayed, as well as be confusing when placed next to an unfinished Jungle Bird or Finger in My Tea.  

While I understand, and appreciate, servers going the extra step for their guests, if we could just pass on a note for them to do any pouring in their stations after the trays have been divvied up, so as to eliminate the chance for drink mix-ups. 

Additionally, I've gotten questions from bartenders about whether or not children can be seated at the bar (accompanied by an adult).  I believe the current law is that so long as they are seated with an adult, it is allowed, but wanted to clarify if Nitehawk would prefer we direct guests with children to our other seating options. JH

Prep List: Coffee + Cigarettes and possibly some Jungle Bird if it continue selling quickly. 

I prepped some Lemonade and we have enough Firewalk as well as Strawberry Lemonade to go. EA
