Saturday 04.01 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Busy start to the day, with theater sales steadily growing throughout the day. Dungeons is selling really well, and both John Wick and Everything Everywhere continue to pack theaters. JH

Dinner felt nonstop all afternoon with drink tickets constantly flowing and the crowds @ Trees staying pretty lively until around 11:30ish. Dinner round was pretty sold out with late round seeing decent numbers as well. EA

BAR Staff Observations: As usual, Andrea and Natasha set each bar up for success with their opens.  Maya went straight to Trees when she arrived as we had a nearly sold out Th2 seating.  Natasha held down Lobby solo without issue.  Maya has really settled into service bar tickets at Trees, which was great coupled with Andrea's ability to float between guests and service tickets as needed.  

Both bars were able to reset before Th1's second round seating, by which time Tevon had arrived and was able to quickly reset the floor and restock Trees.  Once Gabrielle came in for her mid shift, I was able to bring Maya back downstairs, and both Natasha and Andrea got out shortly after. JH

Props for the team for holding it down through what felt like a pretty much nonstop rush all throughout dinner. Ian, Gabrielle, and Tevon held down Trees with the assist from Matthew after I moved him upstairs for a round to help reset and keep afloat. Maya was able to handle the crowds in the lobby and calling for assistance as needed. Glassware (mainly pints) are what slowed us down tonight (See meeting agenda notes), but despite the bouncing between floors, all the MODs were able to get glasses to where they needed to get to. EA

FOH Staff Observations: Shout out to the servers in Th1 and Th2 for absolutely crushing an incredibly busy second round while short on staff.  Communication was great, and bar was able to pace tickets so that all drinks were run shortly after being trayed up. JH

Same sentiment for the PM staff. There were never any delays in between trays and all of them left in a prompt manner. Servers were patient at the pass to ask questions or to correct any mistakes. EA

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Pint Glasses have been killing us lately. They're being depleted more often during sold out rounds for water and it just makes it very difficult to keep up between both floors despite pre-bussing. I could open up more glassware, but the issue is that we only have a finite amount of space at the bars and stacking them any higher could lead to breakage into the well. Should we look at possibly getting 16oz plastic tumblers like the 10oz water cups that we have to store in server stations? EA

Prep List: I was able to make us some Mike's Hot Syrup and Molasses syrup towards the end of the night, but Demerara should be made at some point tomorrow. 

Also, we will need 42 Regular, Strawberry Lemonade, Lemonade, Jungle Bird, and Neon Demon EA

Maintenance: For Bar MODs: Has anyone seen the hooks for the left hand speed rail in the lobby? Juan was able to get it back together, but now we're missing the hooks. EA

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
