Tuesday 04.11 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Beautiful weather out there with a good amount of foot traffic. It was a solid dinner round with a good amount of walk ins followed by a slower late round. It was quiet at Trees today without Trivia, but should be bolstered again tomorrow with the weather plus Karaoke. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Tashi did a much better job with time management when opening today, implementing all of the notes from yesterday.   They were also able to handle the service push from the 4:15 Mario in Th1 without needing any assistance, which was great.  Miguel arrived shortly before doors open for his solo Lobby shift, and I had the bar prepped for him.  JH

Tashi does indeed continue to grow and is great at asking questions or taking direction when they seem a little flustered. They're a solid addition to the team. Tevon took over after things settled down for the night and I was able to get Tashi out. Miguel soldiered through a full day lobby, but was also in great spirits. Both bars wound down naturally. EA

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Could we potentially get a fan to increase airflow behind Lobby Bar, too?  We don't need anything as high-powered as what we are using in the Trees glasswasher pit, but it would go a long way in minimizing our fruit fly situation.  

Also, when the front doors at Lobby are left open during the nicer weather, should be keeping the fan above the doors on?  Is there anything we need to do to keep it on for longer than usual? JH

86ed / counts on items: 42 Regular until we get some Genepy in hopefully tomorrow. 

Prep List: Looks like we're pretty solid on prep. All I noticed that we needed was a triple batch of lemonade and some Jungle Bird. I can knock these out tomorrow at open. EA

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor & US Foods tomorrow. JH

Mobilebytes Issues: The NiteRib still has the option for the Martin's Roll which we no longer have. Had a guest request on with the sesame roll, but there is no option for that. EA

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
