Manager Communication:  Birdgate: well I am gutted I have not caught my new friend Jack Sparrow yet. He landed on my hat earlier and I thought our bond would carry us through. I will try again after this Coyote vs. Acme screening, but it is sad. I worry for his little well-being. He is a baby sparrow. -LB There were no further bird sightings in Th4 this evening, and we opted not to leave out the birdseed bait cambro overnight in case some four-legged friends crawled in instead.  The cambro is in the liquor room if openers want to leave it in Th4 before doors to see if we can find out if our winged friend is still in Th4. JH  Surprisingly busy Monday night.  The first three screenings in Th1/2 were fairly mellow, but the last three were almost completely sold out.  Definitely kept the service pass bustling from 6:30-9:30pm. JH Customer Comments:  Had two guests from the first round Th4 screening come to Lobby and ask for a refund on their tickets because the...

Manager Communication: Trees filled up later on in the evening in spurts, but nothing like yesterday's wall to wall. This kind of rain luckily keeps people home more since we are still down a person. -LB When it comes to putting color to menu items, please be mindful of people with color blindness.  This has been one of the higher priority concerns of servers as it would help them get faster at finding things. It really isn't a time consuming endeavor that would gain a lot of favor within the company. And it would also be very helpful to a lot of people. -LB Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations: Natasha and Greg are beasts. There was no relief until 2:30 and neither one of them complained, asked for a break- really awesome and setting the tone for everyone else today.-GS They did long shifts. They are both rockstars. Appreciate the teamwork in total.  Knibbs did a smart thing and pre-authed Alex M when he placed his staff food and I placed the discount and ran it when I ...

Manager Communication: The rain definitely kept post-movie crowds chilling at Trees, which kept the space just as busy as the theaters.  Lots of big crowds, a couple of impromptu parties, but nothing ever became too overwhelming.  Service was pretty constant after 1:00pm though.  Looks like we sold just over 2400 tickets, which is a busy busy day all around. JH After bars were shut down, it sounded like a keg fell in the walk-in, no one was in there. Nothing fell and the beer line is clicking slowly non-stop. I tried to get it to stop. I don't know why it started. No one ran the draft lines. -LB Customer Comments: BAR Staff Observations:  Greg+ Tevon did a great job setting themselves up for success throughout the first round, and both bars were able to do a quick restock once Lydia got in.  Greg is becoming a Lobby Bar brunch machine, and both Tevon + Lydia made quick work of a very busy bar and service passes.   Once Jeshua was set up to close downs...

Manager Communication: Solid Open Lots of forward motion toward menu change and such. Looking good.  If it is at ALL possible to have it say THEATER 1 and THEATER 2 at the top of the ticket the way it does on the kitchen tickets that would be extremely helpful. This is a service issue at TREES for sure during busy times. It will lead to mistakes.  There are also lots of handhelds still printing multiples ie. 2 lemonades vs lemonade lemonade. It seems across the building and across menu. So I think a fine eye to just make sure that is all worked out or things may get missed. The non-consistent nature of it, will in fact lead to mistakes.  The handhelds at Trees are also difficult to use without any color differentiation in the BAR COCKTAILS CATEGORY. If you could take the notes from the people doing the serving it would be super helpful for us. We are a little older and we are using tiny little machines that slow us down. If we could sit down and make some choices Gil to j...

Manager Communication: Chill open, Wyatt and I got that done (Wyatt was very helpful) Pretty relaxed evening. Decent bar crowd for Perfume. Busy drink rushes and some frantic energy behind the bar when I first came in but things settled down. - IP Customer Comments:  Sent two popcorns to the crew that intro'd Perfume tonight. Darla and (?) - super regulars. - IP BAR Staff Observations: Solid Crew Sam was a total rockstar tonight. He's got great hustle and takes on a lot of the load when he's behind Trees. I think we should be mindful of making sure that people don't take advantage of that hustle and not meet him there at that same level. - IP FOH Staff Observations: Brian is incredible. Whenever his theaters are settled he actively looks for ways to assist his fellow servers. I saw him running drinks all over the building, and even reorganizing some of the cardboard in the dumpster to make more room for Vlad and the porter crew. The dude is an angel - I gave him a toke...

Manager Communication:  I ordered a new baffle for the lobby ice machine from Webstaurant, keep your eyes peeled for this one. The one in lobby bar looks like a tiny Kool Aid man busted out of it. -LB I spray painted the A frame today, so I can rewrite it on Friday to be less Summer movie quotes. I am leaving it to dry in the liquor room.-LB  Had a bit of a pop at Trees with the pre-screening crowd for Zoolander , but it was pretty sleepy at the bar after that. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Danny and Sam super smooth open. -LB  Sam got out of here once Jeshua all set down at lobby, and Danny stuck around until the Zoolander crowd had gotten through their first service push.  Gabrielle + Jeshua closed each bar without issue. JH Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Reminder for opening bartenders to put the $10 of quarters in the bank in to the drawer when opening.  More info under Over/Short on Banks below, but it caused some confusion during Lobby's close tonight. JH...

Manager Communication: The old linen company I guess left a coat rack behind that ended up outside the MOD office which I guess then ended up inside the liquor room, so yesterday Chef Jared said just throw it out. I took it to bar storage with Rebecca since I think it is useful for private events as a divider and it is of good quality. -LB The Tuesday FWWM special button and the Trivia special button specifically are NOT PRINTING during trivia. So another weird issue.-LB Aside from some weird snafus with food items being dropped at the wrong tables, and some missing or improperly routed buttons, our first Toast Trivia went off without too many hitches. Becca and Christine are just so fantastic to have on the floor during busy Trees events and Lauren stuck around super late getting stuff done for upcoming stuff and also being able to jump in to change kegs or grab stuff for the bars. Great teamwork on the management side tonight. - IP I reset the lobby handheld as per the instructions f...
