Manager Communication: Easy Open. Wyatt and I took care of things.


It is cold at Trees now that the wind is picking up. Might need to switch over to heat possibly, but I know the weather is wonky with the sun and people etc.
I put away all the mugs, now I will put them back. I found one box, I think I put away two, but will try to locate tomorrow if anyone remembers June because I do not.-LB

The grate under the ice machine at trees collapsed into the drain. I noticed it when finishing up. I pulled it out to put it back but the drain is gross. I will give it a go tomorrow but I am too tired to do more deep cleans tonight.-LB

Customer Comments: A bunch of people thought there was a bday party in Trees. There wasn't, but odd that it happened multiple times.

Over/Short on Banks: Trees seems short 44 bucks. Total cash payments amount to 145, but money is 101 after bank. I don't know where cash voids would show up, there is a section that says "total removals: 31.00" but don't know what that refers to of if it was cash or not.  I walked Jeshua through it since he thought he was going to be over, but obviously we are not, and I showed him total Cash payments. Trying to train him to just count all the cash and put that in, but he has a system I need to untrain.-LB

Maintenance:
The power cord to the 4/6 Theater printer hangs by the garbage at Trees lounge. This will surely be destroyed if it isn't mounted safely to the wall. I had mentioned this before. Jeshua showed me tonight. It is in a very dangerous zone hanging by the recycling and garbage pale where everything gets raked so it may also need a cover as it is in a very serious service place.-LB

I cleaned the dishwasher stopper at Trees last night from a pretty rank brown sludge. that got all over my hands when I had to clear a lemon to refill it with water. It was residually there today on the chain and inside the under part of the basket. Hours later, I think I got all of the gunk, but another full wash line of whatever chocolate, BBQ sauce like oil nonsense formed two more times after cleaning. so I got a flashlight and a bottle brush.  I can only assume that the birthday party that was here had cupcakes/cake and may have put something in a cup that ended up in the machine. Or someone else put something with food in the machine. I am and always will be fully anti-cake at bars on all fronts for all folks. -LB

Toast Issues: There were buttons for half price refills for Lemonade, Iced Tea & Arnold Palmer. I removed them.

Manager Communication: Solid Open Lots of forward motion toward menu change and such. Looking good.  If it is at ALL possible to have it say THEATER 1 and THEATER 2 at the top of the ticket the way it does on the kitchen tickets that would be extremely helpful. This is a service issue at TREES for sure during busy times. It will lead to mistakes.  There are also lots of handhelds still printing multiples ie. 2 lemonades vs lemonade lemonade. It seems across the building and across menu. So I think a fine eye to just make sure that is all worked out or things may get missed. The non-consistent nature of it, will in fact lead to mistakes.  The handhelds at Trees are also difficult to use without any color differentiation in the BAR COCKTAILS CATEGORY. If you could take the notes from the people doing the serving it would be super helpful for us. We are a little older and we are using tiny little machines that slow us down. Tuesday 10/13 Gus & Ian

Manager Communication:  Rocky open. I was the opening bartender in the lobby till about 15 mins before doors. Gus and I went through pars and prep for the Newfest cocktails - I'll be managing the first big party so I will take point on batching and setting up for the event when we get all the product delivered.  Rocky open made way for a smooth close - team was great across the board. Pre-Code was very busy and everyone was up to the challenge. - IP Customer Comments:  The guy who does his podcast in Trees is awesome. -GS BAR Staff Observations:   Tevon rules. Jeshua gets the game ball for agreeing to come in out of the blue. -GS Yeah, Jeshua is the freaking best. Came in to open lobby and ended his shift crushing the Pre-Code after-party. He went to go see Resident Evil and I comped his food as a massive thank you. Tevon and Duan also kicked major butt for the party. Manager Communication: Saturday mornings. Classic. Rebecca & I rocked it out -G It got really cold tonight in the mid-40s. I turned on the entry way heaters because Christine asked me to since Jeshua was cold. The exit doors were fine, did not smell, but the entryway doors were very rank so I turned them off. Probably a vacuum would be enough. But smelled like a hairdryer full of dead pine needles. I broke out the space heaters for lobby bar.-LB The spotify iPad at Trees is not connected to the internet now, if that could be addressed. Only downloaded playlists are working-LB Customer Comments: Had a bday party for a 1 year old. Matthew handled like a champ. There were a lot of them. Filled the place up early- was great.
