Manager Communication: Gus stopped by to go over Newfest protocol with Ian and I. Ordering needs for the week, feeling totally ready. Vibes are good over here.-LB

Newfest is bringing the heat! Screenings and general gathering in Trees lounge kept the place hopping all night. Nathan Fielder doc fully sold out all day on top of it - we are cooking with gas. Tomorrow night is gonna go great - wonderful prep by Lauren and Tevon today. Going to make tomorrow night a breeze. - IP

The crowd for Newfest tonight was super polite and really easy going. Happy to have them any time. -IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Tevon is excellent anywhere you put him. He crushed a big Newfest batch list and then handled a very busy lobby shift all night solo. Lydia, Greg and Patrick had a full Trees lounge practically all night. They did great - this group in particular could use a little more hustle with glassware, but they wre very focused on guest facing service - which we love!! - IP

Prep List: 
4 FWWM, 4 Lemonade, 3x Quince & Juniper Soda, Newfest guava Marg, Newfest Paloma, Newfest lychee martini, Newfest ube vodka, half batch suck it Nature, arbol tequila, simple syrup, acid-adjusted pineapple, pineapple express.-LB

Check Walk-in?:
One of the CO2 lines for charging the kegs was still flipped on - I turned it off and otherwise walk-in was good to go! - IP

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Union (only one case of Giffard Quince we are fine for sure), Empire, US foods, Baldor. -LB

Maintenance: bleached and reassembled drain under ice machine. Flushed and poured Green goblin. -LB
The Trees dishpit still had residual brown sludge coming out today, I ran three cycles of deliming cleaner. 
The ADA bathroom needs the coat holder reaffixed for the ADA hook, added that and earlier weekly notes to maint doc.-LB

The hot water ran out for an hour or two at the Trees dishpit - some glasses might be a little foggy tomorrow, so we might need to run some stuff back through the wash. - IP

Manager Communication: Solid Open Lots of forward motion toward menu change and such. Looking good.  If it is at ALL possible to have it say THEATER 1 and THEATER 2 at the top of the ticket the way it does on the kitchen tickets that would be extremely helpful. This is a service issue at TREES for sure during busy times. It will lead to mistakes.  There are also lots of handhelds still printing multiples ie. 2 lemonades vs lemonade lemonade. It seems across the building and across menu. So I think a fine eye to just make sure that is all worked out or things may get missed. The non-consistent nature of it, will in fact lead to mistakes.  The handhelds at Trees are also difficult to use without any color differentiation in the BAR COCKTAILS CATEGORY. If you could take the notes from the people doing the serving it would be super helpful for us. We are a little older and we are using tiny little machines that slow us down. Tuesday 10/13 Gus & Ian

Manager Communication:  Rocky open. I was the opening bartender in the lobby till about 15 mins before doors. Gus and I went through pars and prep for the Newfest cocktails - I'll be managing the first big party so I will take point on batching and setting up for the event when we get all the product delivered.  Rocky open made way for a smooth close - team was great across the board. Pre-Code was very busy and everyone was up to the challenge. - IP Customer Comments:  The guy who does his podcast in Trees is awesome. -GS BAR Staff Observations:   Tevon rules. Jeshua gets the game ball for agreeing to come in out of the blue. -GS Yeah, Jeshua is the freaking best. Came in to open lobby and ended his shift crushing the Pre-Code after-party. He went to go see Resident Evil and I comped his food as a massive thank you. Tevon and Duan also kicked major butt for the party. Manager Communication: Saturday mornings. Classic. Rebecca & I rocked it out -G It got really cold tonight in the mid-40s. I turned on the entry way heaters because Christine asked me to since Jeshua was cold. The exit doors were fine, did not smell, but the entryway doors were very rank so I turned them off. Probably a vacuum would be enough. But smelled like a hairdryer full of dead pine needles. I broke out the space heaters for lobby bar.-LB The spotify iPad at Trees is not connected to the internet now, if that could be addressed. Only downloaded playlists are working-LB Customer Comments: Had a bday party for a 1 year old. Matthew handled like a champ. There were a lot of them. Filled the place up early- was great.
