Manager Communication:

Decently busy in the smaller theaters, and the larger theaters took turns selling out in the later rounds.  Tables at Trees are definitely keeping folks hanging around after their movies, which has been nice. JH

Customer Comments: 
There is a lady who is usually around the area who often comes in to use the restroom in the lobby.  Most staff who work in lobby recognize her, and we have not had issues with her previously.  However, yesterday she was bothering the folks at the table for the film festival, and Dwight asked her to leave.  She came back today and had a lot to say about how Dwight is picking on her and looking at her and that he should be fired.  She had a lot of choice words and terms for myself and Dwight, and she is no longer allowed in the building. JH

BAR Staff Observations:

Matthew got out of here once the dinner round had settled, and Duan + Tevon handled a very busy bar crowd and service pass.  Also, shoutout to both of them for really being on top of bussing the floor t regular intervals, even during peak busy times.  Gabrielle was a one-woman lobby machine this evening, needing little to no back up before she said au revoir and left for her trip to France. JH

FOH Staff Observations: 
Vinny was delightful.  Always a great presence at the service pass. GS

Sick Leave/ Call outs: 
Ariel out sick.  Feel fresh soon. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 
We changed the garnish for the Pineapple Express (demerara sugar -> maraschino cherries).  Posted on 7Shifts and informed bartenders. GS

Prep List: 
Great batch shift today.  We are stocked to the gills on bar product. GS

Over/Short on Banks: 
Lobby was short $4.00. JH

Trees was over about $33.75. James has clearer notes in the FOH blog, as I don't fully have a handle on what is causing the discrepancy. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 
Baldor arriving tomorrow. JH

We received Moet in a box labeled as Four Roses in our Empire order this week. Empire is coming on Tuesday to swap out the mislabeled box for a real deal case of Four Roses.  GS

Maintenance: 
The ice machine at Trees began to rain on the inside around 9:00pm, so I turned it off for a bit.  I turned it back on around 10:30pm and it went back to normal service. JH

She's back to raining inside.  I'm going to reset it one more time and check it first thing in the morning.  The bin is pretty full, so we are more than set for openers. JH

Toast Issues: 
The How To Train Your Dragon button disappeared from the POS for some reason.  We could not pin down when it happened or what may have caused it, but Gus was able to reactivate it and we were all set for service. JH

Service rushes continue to last a lot longer since we changed to Toast.  There are times when we get buried in drink tickets, but we keep having to start and stop because the only people running drink trays to the station are either support or managers.  I don't think it is a problem with individual servers, only because it consistently happens during busier rounds.  It is most noticeable in Th1/2, and can lead the service pass at Trees feeling non-stop for almost two hours at a time.  It has not been detrimental to service, but servers may need a reminder to pace drink orders, or to pause between tray runs. JH

Manager Communication: Solid Open Lots of forward motion toward menu change and such. Looking good.  If it is at ALL possible to have it say THEATER 1 and THEATER 2 at the top of the ticket the way it does on the kitchen tickets that would be extremely helpful. This is a service issue at TREES for sure during busy times. It will lead to mistakes.  There are also lots of handhelds still printing multiples ie. 2 lemonades vs lemonade lemonade. It seems across the building and across menu. So I think a fine eye to just make sure that is all worked out or things may get missed. The non-consistent nature of it, will in fact lead to mistakes.  The handhelds at Trees are also difficult to use without any color differentiation in the BAR COCKTAILS CATEGORY. If you could take the notes from the people doing the serving it would be super helpful for us. We are a little older and we are using tiny little machines that slow us down. Saturday 11.22.25 Wicked Day 3 Jenn/Lauren

Manager Communication:  Th1/2/3 were pretty much sold out for the day, with Wicked doing really well and Bugonia / Frankenstein taking up the smaller theaters.  Definitely a lot more kids coming through for Wicked this time, just as a heads up.  Sentimental Value is also selling out the smaller theaters, too.  Trees also had a group of runners (probably between 10-12 folks) hang out for drinks and brunch post-run.  A couple of more groups came through throughout the day and kept Trees happily busy during the early rounds. JH If we can change the temp on Trees lounge to 70 for this busy stretch, it gets really hot back there when they don't stop moving. -LB Wowie. everyone busting their butts today and I blame L. Manager Communication: trees quiet first two rounds Sam clocked out at 6:30pm. Toast was down when they tried to clock out. -LB Saturday nights are challenging. There is always something that derails normal service, or major call outs. It would be helpful going into cold and flu season to maybe have another manager on staff.  Working these shifts is already really hard and exhausting.  Being down people and overworking will lead to more people calling out. -LB When I did the payout for the kitchen, there were 3 Lobby bar drawers listed. I think that some of the money confusion at night's end may be coming from the cash drawers of lobby and Tree's being linked. That is my guess. If they are operating in tandem. Also, how do people keep opening multiple drawers, this seems to be an issue.-LB I posted cocktail info graphics from our power point in 4/6, 3 and 1.
