Manager Communication:
Busy screenings throughout the building, but later rounds of YCSE do appear to be slowing down in ticket sales.  Good moods behind both bars and at the service passes today, even among the folks that are usually Toast Moody Judys.  There has definitely been an uptick in positivity these last two or so weeks. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Matthew is so helpful. He notices the things in the lowboys that I notice and drive me crazy. I love it. Organizational mastermind. Also just down to business all the time. If everyone was like Matthew this place would be in hyperdrive.-LB

Today we launched Operatzione Oleo where the bartenders peel 20 grapefruits. I brought 13 to each bar to finish the box we had open. I gave them each a quart of simple to keep them moist and wrote how much simple I needed to add when I brought them to the back. I then added the strain time.  It is a good system, easy. Just make sure to do the simple syrup+grapefruit+time math somewhere on masking tape. And tell them to keep the peeled grapefruits.-LB

Had Sam come upstairs to get Trees through the second round service push, and then got them out of here once Jeshua had a break.  Jeshua held down a pretty bustling lobby solo all evening.

Danny + Matthew worked a very busy Trees Lounge this evening.  The timing of the seatings of the big theaters and 4/6 were not very spread out which led to very long service pushes at the pass, since several screenings were sold out.  However, there were no back ups on tickets or service, it was more a continued 90 minute effort several times this evening.  The sustained service push coupled with the folks at Trees after the Q&A kept Matthew here a little bit later than expected, but he and Danny were consistently on top of service and you wouldn't have even known there were busy theaters because they were never left scrambling. Definitely did not need a third bartender, just a lead who could work an hour or so longer than expected. JH

Special Events?
Th3 event wasn't even a blip on bar's radar tonight, with Chenelle, the servers, and managers handling everything.  There was definitely a bit of a post-screening crowd after the Q&A in Th2, but they all got out of here a little before eleven. JH

86ed / counts on items:
86'd GF Soda (carbonation issue, not oos) JH

Prep List:
Got a ton done today - unsweetened iced tea, Ginger syrup, simple, Paloma, OF keg, Negroni, Autumn G&T, Fantasy and Gorgeous cheater, HTTYDragon. IP

Chilled concentrate and syrups were put away, and the Autumn G+T keg was charged. JH

Check Walk-in?:
A GF Soda keg was placed in a cambro because it was leaking while Lauren + Ian were troubleshooting the carbonation situation.  It did not continue to leak after that, but I left it in the cambro in case it acts up overnight. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
US Foods coming Friday-LB

Baldor, Souther, Skurnik arrived.-LB

Baldor coming tomorrow and Saturday morning. to Rise coming tomorrow with straws. -LB

We are on our last keg of Narragansett, so we may want to up the number of kegs we order from Union this week. JH

Maintenance:
Unfortunately it appears a guest must have spilled something sticky on the popcorn neon last night. There is a pool of sticky right underneath the power cable. I got it to turn on twice, but it soon turns off. I am uncertain if it is the cable, or perhaps if just a fuse needs replacing. The neon clearly works, so I think that is the good news, but Vlad probably needs to at least take a look.-LB

There has been a lot of troubleshooting on the GF keg situation. Ultimately it feels like an expert is needed. -LB
