Manager Communication:
Busy, rainy Sunday. Opened with Wyatt. Greg and Lydia opened bars. It had been raining all morning, but no one on the porter team had gotten the mats out for the lobby and Th 3/5 hallway - Wyatt and I ran up right at doors and grabbed them and set them out - I'm going to ask Vlad to make sure the team is prepared to be on top of getting those ready for doors on these rainy days.
The glut of kegs in the walk-in made it difficult to maneuver so I reorganized the kegs when there was a lull in service. - IP

Definitely stayed busy throughout the night throughout the building and Trees was pretty full up until about ten or so. JH

Customer Comments:
I ejected two guests from the 8:15pm Social Reckoning for writing an explicit note and putting it up in the coil for their server (Katherine) to grab.  They left without issue and did not offer any explanation or defense once I told them that their behavior was unacceptable.  Michael walked them out of the building with me and I told them that they were not welcome back to either of our locations.  More details in the FOH Blog. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Lydia radioed before the 1:45 "Forgotten Island" screening to inform the MOD's and the servers in Th 2 that there would be a guest with a child in their party sitting on her lap - because there were not three seats together. This is obviously very much against our protocol under almost all circumstances (this was not a baby-in-arms), and it concerns me that Lydia would unilaterally make this call. While everything ended up being fine - James made sure the guests and servers were all set - this is not the kind of exceptional rule-bending that can be allowed. I pulled them aside and told them as much. They seemed to get the message that this apparent disregard for our protocol is unacceptable, and I hope that going forward this kind of thing will not happen again. - IP

Busy busy night.  Openers definitely pulled a long one, but they were able to get out of here once everyone had a chance to grab family meal.  Tevon took lead on the service pass at Trees and was able to manage multiple busy theaters without needing me to expo.  He and Duan stuck around until the third round had settled in, and then Jeshua held down Trees for the remainder of the evening and closed without issue.

Patrick was solo in lobby tonight and did not need any support beyond guest issues and one glassrack run in the last round.  I just wanted to shout him out because every time I work with him is very proactive during service, but is also really conscientious about his closing restock and making sure the next day's opener is set. 86ed / counts on items:
86'd Suck It Nature.

Prep List:
Made one last batch of "Schedule A" and another batch of "The Best Banana Daiquiri" also a double batch of the Quince and Juniper syrup - we have enough juniper syrup for another 2 batches, but that syrup should definitely go on the next batch list. - IP

Tried to get us ahead of batching, since we do not have a batching shift tomorrow.  Made FWWM + GF Soda keg (needs to be charged!) + Iced Tea Concentrate + Lemonade + Paloma (needs Siete Misterios added) + Simple Syrup. JH

Negroni + Margarita both kicked this evening, so we should probably make those Tuesday. JH

Over/Short on Banks:
Each bar bank was $0.25 short, but that was due to how we round our change when doing cash sales. JH

Lost & Found?:
umbrellas.  paraguas.  schirme.  kasa.  nã mãmalu.  parapluies.  sateenvarjot.  (as expected on a very rainy day). JH

Maintenance:
The Trees ice machine flashed 3 for a bit again and after a reset it behaved normally. - IP

No issues with the Trees ice machine this evening. JH
