Manager Communication: 
Really great tasting today with only a few of our best bartenders in attendance, but we hashed out some directions we want to go in. Gus showed up to give his best advice, nice lovely surprise. Things are coming together nicely. -LB

Busy, busy throughout the building for the dinner round, with the exception of Th1.  Having a pretty mellow second and third round in Th1 tonight definitely made the service pass a little bit easier to navigate.  Trees was pretty bopping all evening, up until about ten or so.  The Odyssey still selling out those small theaters, so those seatings can definitely sneak up on the service pass. JH

BAR Staff Observations: 
Matthew Soler is a bartending God. -LB 

Jeshua was all set at lobby bar once he got a restock in, so I had Sam float up to Trees to help Gabrielle + Matthew.  Was able to get Matthew off the floor and back to the liquor room to finish up the rest of the bar prep list, and Sam stuck around to get Gabrielle through the initial service push of the third round Th2 Spider-Man.  All bartenders were super communicative with each other about pacing and restocks, and (to echo some notes from this weekend) Sam does a really great job of alternating between working the entire bar and getting drinks out at the service pass. JH

Prep List: 
50 yr x2, Froco x 4, fwwm x 4, o-ren keg  Magical Matthew Soler-Lb

Matthew was able to knock out the rest of the prep list once the second round had settled in to service.  I had him clock back in as a Bar Prep shift. JH

I started a batch of GF Oleo that I will strain tomorrow evening.  I left a small list on the whiteboard in the liquor room, mostly to get us set up for hefty batching Friday morning. JH

R&D comp checks: 
$33.50 fall tasting.-LB 

Over/Short on Banks: 
Trees was $2.00 under. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 
Sarene tomorrow, Skurnik tomorrow, Baldor and To Rise-LB

Union arrived, CW, Southern, Webstaurant, Wilson Daniels. 

Union and US foods Friday. Felt low on triple sec so ordered skurnik again Friday Empire bringing more prosecco.-LB

Maintenance: 
NuCo has not come as of 5:59pm, I am on hold with them right now. -LB 

The FroCo tumbler (the one in the middle of the triple) at Trees Lounge had some issues over freezing tonight.  We were able to use the other tumbler and service was not disrupted.  We set it to cold and it eventually defrosted, but something to check on tomorrow before doors (especially if we are cleaning the machines). JH

Manager Communication:  Th1/2/3 were pretty much sold out for the day, with Wicked doing really well and Bugonia / Frankenstein taking up the smaller theaters.  Definitely a lot more kids coming through for Wicked this time, just as a heads up.  Sentimental Value is also selling out the smaller theaters, too.  Trees also had a group of runners (probably between 10-12 folks) hang out for drinks and brunch post-run.  A couple of more groups came through throughout the day and kept Trees happily busy during the early rounds. JH If we can change the temp on Trees lounge to 70 for this busy stretch, it gets really hot back there when they don't stop moving. -LB Wowie. everyone busting their butts today and I blame L. Frank Baum.  If we didn't switch to the plastic soda cups, we would have drowned today. Made it optimal. I think we need more empty grey racks, they were thin in circulation for the last round. Manager Communication:  Holiday level business keeps coming, we had a very busy day overall at the bar. Movies kept service bar going strong through 9 pm and then the bar stayed crowded with a group of people watching the Golden Globes. No issues with getting overly busy, however, as the push to service bar died right as the awards show started and a crowd grew at the bar. We were able to get all duties done tonight; batching, cleaning projects and strong service. The 4 pm rush was very heavy in particular, with Theatres 1, 4 and 6 very tightly seated but we never ran overlong on timing. Customer Comments:  We had a guest come to the bar around 4:30 to complain about some late food, which was dropped by a manager. Julie had a flag that she forget to ring until right before check drop and the guests complained about the wait, but were happy with our resolution of some passes and goodwill discounts on the check. Monday 9/1, Labor Day, Gus/Lauren

Manager Communication: Sleepy start. Carly and I opened the building Customer Comments:   Lol, Jeshua provided me with an entertaining exchange. He walkied for an MOD, I came down and there were two teenage boys trying to see Weapons. They did not have ID. The younger looking one claimed to be 18 and had shown Jeshua a photo of his Polish passport. It said he was 25. So I told them that they can't come in. I appreciate Jeshua's keen eye on the upholding of our policies. They were clever at trying to negotiate their way in, but lacked some common sense. -LB BAR Staff Observations: Charlie opened the Lobby, Greg upstairs. Went off without a hitch. Greg was rocking  FOH Staff Observations: Sam was crushing support. Madison hustling for 4/6 (getting that first hot toddy of the season up there hot UGH too early for this.) Runners helping out everywhere. Good crew.-LB Hiring/Training: Nia in it to win it with Tevon.  She has brought a nice, refreshing attitude to the bar team....
