Manager Communication:
Was able to get the Trees machines cleaned thoroughly this morning, but had beer deliveries etc. to coordinate (and some odds and ends to tend to) so I will get to the lobby machines tomorrow morning first thing when I get in. Speaking of deliveries - the elevator repair guys got things back up and running right in the nick of time and there were no issues with portage. - IP

The Coke service ticket got closed last night when they called me back. They are sending us a replacement kit for the lobby bar gun piece that broke off. I also asked them to put in a swag request with the sales department since we sell so much Diet Coke. -LB

Customer Comments: 
A gentleman came down to Trees when I was doing some R&D and had complained it had been over 30 minutes since he got his drink and popcorn. I asked his seat number, he didn't know it, but said he was in the last row in theater 4. So I went up there. Bayly had that theater. I said you have someone waiting for their stuff or trying to order and complained. They said they accidentally sent it to theater 7. I don't understand why they have theater 7 open on the iPad upstairs and I also don't understand why they don't check on their tables to see that they have items. I comped their lemonade.-LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Matt and Sam opening up. Matt is a glassware God. - IP

Had Sam up at Trees to get Matthew + Gabrielle through the second round power hour.  Sam then covered Jeshua for a break and a restock and got out of here.  Matthew stuck around until Belly had settled down, and was able to clear the floor and break down a well for Gabrielle.  Both Gabrielle + Jeshua closed each bar without issue. JH

Prep List:
GF Soda is back online and un-86'd in the computer (along with the Paloma). - IP

Going to get to as much prep-focused batching as I can today (oleo, spoons cocktails, etc.). - IP

Cap'n Crunk is being strained right now. Made a batch of the "End of Oak Street" cocktail - newly named "Wormhole Breakfast" so as not to have two milk-themed names for the same movie and also refilled the backup Negroni keg. - IP

The milk punch is taking forever to strain and had to restart it a lot. Stewart is ordering more filters, if we need to use coffee filters tomorrow. I put the rest in the walk-in so it was not in the DANGERZONE-LB

Gonna crank some Oleo then get out of here.-LB

Made two big Simple Syrups to get us ready for weekend batching. JH

GF Soda + Margarita + Old Fashioned empty kegs are washed and chilling in the walk in. JH

Manager Communication:  Th1/2/3 were pretty much sold out for the day, with Wicked doing really well and Bugonia / Frankenstein taking up the smaller theaters.  Definitely a lot more kids coming through for Wicked this time, just as a heads up.  Sentimental Value is also selling out the smaller theaters, too.  Trees also had a group of runners (probably between 10-12 folks) hang out for drinks and brunch post-run.  A couple of more groups came through throughout the day and kept Trees happily busy during the early rounds. JH If we can change the temp on Trees lounge to 70 for this busy stretch, it gets really hot back there when they don't stop moving. -LB Wowie. everyone busting their butts today and I blame L. Frank Baum.  If we didn't switch to the plastic soda cups, we would have drowned today. Made it optimal. I think we need more empty grey racks, they were thin in circulation for the last round. Jesse Sunday 1.5

Manager Communication:  Holiday level business keeps coming, we had a very busy day overall at the bar. Movies kept service bar going strong through 9 pm and then the bar stayed crowded with a group of people watching the Golden Globes. No issues with getting overly busy, however, as the push to service bar died right as the awards show started and a crowd grew at the bar. We were able to get all duties done tonight; batching, cleaning projects and strong service. The 4 pm rush was very heavy in particular, with Theatres 1, 4 and 6 very tightly seated but we never ran overlong on timing. Customer Comments:  We had a guest come to the bar around 4:30 to complain about some late food, which was dropped by a manager. Julie had a flag that she forget to ring until right before check drop and the guests complained about the wait, but were happy with our resolution of some passes and goodwill discounts on the check. Monday 9/1, Labor Day, Gus/Lauren

Manager Communication: Sleepy start. Carly and I opened the building Customer Comments:   Lol, Jeshua provided me with an entertaining exchange. He walkied for an MOD, I came down and there were two teenage boys trying to see Weapons. They did not have ID. The younger looking one claimed to be 18 and had shown Jeshua a photo of his Polish passport. It said he was 25. So I told them that they can't come in. I appreciate Jeshua's keen eye on the upholding of our policies. They were clever at trying to negotiate their way in, but lacked some common sense. -LB BAR Staff Observations: Charlie opened the Lobby, Greg upstairs. Went off without a hitch. Greg was rocking  FOH Staff Observations: Sam was crushing support. Madison hustling for 4/6 (getting that first hot toddy of the season up there hot UGH too early for this.) Runners helping out everywhere. Good crew.-LB Hiring/Training: Nia in it to win it with Tevon.  She has brought a nice, refreshing attitude to the bar team....
