Manager Communication:
Got in a little early to escort the NuCo man through to the equipment - notes on that below in the maintenance section. Got a big baldor order put away after NuCo left, and also reorganized the walk-in and played keg Jenga. The walk-in looks lovely now. I also cleaned the machines and checked out the Fro-Co that was over-freezing - unsure why it is doing this, but it continues to act up. Switching between cold and slush intermittently is the only short term fix I can think of at the moment - the bar team is aware, and hopefully when Spidermania calms down I can give it a proper look-see.  After all that, Becca and I opened up - first round was relatively mellow. - IP

The second round was busy at both bars, but the screenings were staggered in a way that each bar was busy when the other was more mellow, which made for a very smooth service.  Spider-Man, The Odyssey, + The Invite continue to sell out their last round screenings. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Danny and Gab opening on this sweatiest of Thursdays. - IP 

Jeshua was feeling a bit under the weather, but he said he was able to work his shift so long as lobby got routed a little earlier.  I was able to accommodate that, especially because all three ground floor theaters were well in to their service by the time 10:15pm rolled around.  Had Gabrielle help out Trees for the second round, and then she floated back down to lobby to help Jeshua finish out the dinner round down there before she got out of here.  

Danny continues to do great at the service pass, taking the lead for the majority of seatings tonight, and was able to get out of here once the last round Th1 Spider-Man had gotten past its initial service push.  Matthew was able to close Trees without issue and gave himself a head start on stocking glassware for his opening shift tomorrow. JH

Prep List:
Made three large cambros of simple syrup for batching (one of which I used for the lemonades) and have Arbol steeping. Threw together 10 lemonades before I got out of here to get the batch shift tomorrow a head start. - IP

Got us set on Acid Blend + FroCo, so Matthew can concentrate on boozy batches during his prep shift tomorrow. JH

Maintenance:
The NuCo Man (Tony - very nice guy) came by this morning at 9a - Lauren filled me in on the situation and I came in a little early around 10:20 to meet him and have him walk me through the issue. Within two minutes of inspection said, "Yep - [the compressor] is dead as a doornail." He immediately got on the phone with the company in Florida that has the replacement parts - he said it would take roughly two weeks to get the new pieces in and that the replacement would be easy. In the meantime we will be fine to keep running on emergency tanks - an extra of which he dropped off today. The meters are all at their ideal levels currently - but we will have to continue to monitor the tank levels and switch when needed. I'm not sure who we coordinate with about keeping up with that supply - will confer with full bar management team. Not the best solution but it's what we got! - IP

We did not need to transfer to the new back up tank this evening.  I will keep an eye on it when we open tomorrow, as it is definitely low. JH

The Th7 printer at lobby bar was making some grinding sounds that it normally doesn't, but overall was able to print tickets as normal.  I didn't see anything that may have been causing the sound, and the paper printed without issue. JH

Saturday 11.22.25 Wicked Day 3 Jenn/Lauren

Manager Communication:  Th1/2/3 were pretty much sold out for the day, with Wicked doing really well and Bugonia / Frankenstein taking up the smaller theaters.  Definitely a lot more kids coming through for Wicked this time, just as a heads up.  Sentimental Value is also selling out the smaller theaters, too.  Trees also had a group of runners (probably between 10-12 folks) hang out for drinks and brunch post-run.  A couple of more groups came through throughout the day and kept Trees happily busy during the early rounds. JH If we can change the temp on Trees lounge to 70 for this busy stretch, it gets really hot back there when they don't stop moving. -LB Wowie. everyone busting their butts today and I blame L. Frank Baum.  If we didn't switch to the plastic soda cups, we would have drowned today. Made it optimal. I think we need more empty grey racks, they were thin in circulation for the last round. Jesse Sunday 1.5

Manager Communication:  Holiday level business keeps coming, we had a very busy day overall at the bar. Movies kept service bar going strong through 9 pm and then the bar stayed crowded with a group of people watching the Golden Globes. No issues with getting overly busy, however, as the push to service bar died right as the awards show started and a crowd grew at the bar. We were able to get all duties done tonight; batching, cleaning projects and strong service. The 4 pm rush was very heavy in particular, with Theatres 1, 4 and 6 very tightly seated but we never ran overlong on timing. Customer Comments:  We had a guest come to the bar around 4:30 to complain about some late food, which was dropped by a manager. Julie had a flag that she forget to ring until right before check drop and the guests complained about the wait, but were happy with our resolution of some passes and goodwill discounts on the check. Monday 9/1, Labor Day, Gus/Lauren

Manager Communication: Sleepy start. Carly and I opened the building Customer Comments:   Lol, Jeshua provided me with an entertaining exchange. He walkied for an MOD, I came down and there were two teenage boys trying to see Weapons. They did not have ID. The younger looking one claimed to be 18 and had shown Jeshua a photo of his Polish passport. It said he was 25. So I told them that they can't come in. I appreciate Jeshua's keen eye on the upholding of our policies. They were clever at trying to negotiate their way in, but lacked some common sense. -LB BAR Staff Observations: Charlie opened the Lobby, Greg upstairs. Went off without a hitch. Greg was rocking  FOH Staff Observations: Sam was crushing support. Madison hustling for 4/6 (getting that first hot toddy of the season up there hot UGH too early for this.) Runners helping out everywhere. Good crew.-LB Hiring/Training: Nia in it to win it with Tevon.  She has brought a nice, refreshing attitude to the bar team....
