Happy Mother's Day! People love a sheep movie. Busy open but everything went very smooth. - IP

James Denzer is an angel on this earth. He and Wyatt both dealt with a bunch of ticketing snafus today and allowed me to be super hands-on at the bars for the busiest rushes. Great teamwork. - IP

Wow what a wonderful amount of people that came out for Mother's day today. So many new patrons learning and loving Nitehawk.  I spent some time down with Duan for the 7pm seatings to give support for filmbot.  Great vibes in the building. Lots of newbie customer service issues tonight but made some guests happy with easy help. Feels like having someone posted in the lobby is a great idea when possible, specifically ahead of busy seatings, although not always possible.-LB

Customer Comments: One man was overwhelmed at the price of tickets and orange juice. He apparently just woke up on earth for the first time.-LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Greg and Nat at Trees and Lobby. Nat mentioned she's not feeling great - gonna get her first cut if possible. Staffing is staggered really nicely to allow for wiggle room when needed. - IP

Spoke with Ian regarding staffing, going to staff Nat in Trees to open most weekends and keep Greg in lobby. Natasha is a lead and generally faster and more adept. She gets paid for the expertise so I think this is reasonable. I think the main reason she swapped was that Maya liked to swap the opens and that is no longer an issue.-LB

Having Tevon and Danny to back up Greg made some busy rushes very light work. Nat soldiered through the worst of her discomfort and said she's feeling a bit better, and she was wonderful to have in the lobby for the aforementioned ticketing snafus. - IP
Tevon was a soldier of bar team.  Lots of busy theater rushes. Not so much busy Trees today but leadership was definitely felt from Tevon, and I appreciate having him help me delegate the team when we are in the thick of multiple level rushes. -LB

FOH Staff Observations:
Torey is a delight to work with. - IP
Theater 1/2 teams tonight just making quick work of absolutely every tray going out.  Seamless teamwork and communications. -LB
Micheal (security) appears to wear earbuds under his walkie earpiece and the other ear. Not super safe for a restaurant or great for our security to be not ever present on his walkie-LB
Serious shout outs to Siete handling the ground floor. The server team was really gelling this weekend.  Runners also supporting.  Asking questions when they needed to and not being shy about it. Which we love to see.-LB

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: Not much really happened tonight. Slow night in Tree's. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Gabrielle took the early cut since Tevon was willing to stick it out. Smooth sailing with no major kids films popping off.-LB I got Tevon out of here shortly after my arrival around 5. I then got Patrick out around 6:45. I was able to get Matthew out after the rush settled and he was out at 9:30. Jeshua closed Lobby and Fran closed in Tree's. - AB2 Special Events?  Team America World Police. Prep List: Natasha cranked out a big batch list: double Jurassic, Tang simple, infinity, lemonades, Moneypenny keg, bloody, she couldn't make bloody concentrate since kitchen didn't get garlic delivered-LB I batched a - Margarita - AB2 Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US Foods, Baldor coming tomorrow.  Manhattan arriving tomorrow Maintenance: I put the faces back on both ice machines they both seem happy. Manager Communication :  Pretty good steady morning which ramped up when the spider hit the big ones. EL Second half of the day was similarly busy, with first floor having a slower last round while Spider-Man kept the upper floors busy through close. JH Customer Comments :  A lot of frustrated customers trying to buy what looked like available seats for Spider-man. I think this will be the last day with this problem. I explained to everyone I encountered what was happening and they seemed to understand by the end of the interactions. EL BAR Staff Observation s:  Natasha was about 15 minutes late. Once she got in she recovered the lost time quickly. Then the morning was pretty easy.  Ryan was early!  I pushed Tevon back to 4pm since Isi wasn't coming.
