Manager Communication:
Blue Velvet was the biggest pop for the first round, and the second round definitely mellowed out.  Beautiful sunshine outside, but Trees had a nice little crowd once the second round kicked off.  The scheduling of the big theaters, with an hour in between each opening was really helpful to keep the service pass running smoothly. JH
Jenn got everything smooth and ready for a nice beautiful day here at NPP.  I broke out a case of water cups as it is also hot enough to make people want a lot more waters than usual.-LB

Customer Comments: A very hostile guest was not interested in getting a credit as the party was returning to Argentina tomorrow and was angry at the angle of the screen from the first row in theater 5. The movie hadn't started and he was insistent that they didn't want to see any of the remaining films left tonight. I gave them a refund. Theater 5 continually makes people irate. It is really hard to balance customer service and our policy here.  Also, some people had taken their seats.  I am sorry, but this guy was a jerk and it just is too hard to send people in there anymore.-LB
Another set of folks were very upset with their seats in theater 5 at the same Michael seating. I gave them passes. -LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Openers made quick work of the first round, and I was able to get Matthew out of here once both mids had arrived.  Tevon was able to get out of here once Lydia arrived, and Greg floated down to lobby to work with Jeshua.  Both bars were set and stocked heading into 5:00pm, and were in pretty good shape. JH
I kept Greg through the Theater 3 sold out Obsession since it corresponded with the sold out Theater 2 8pm seating.  This is generally a nice time to have two people in the lobby to help front facing guests.  It was helpful with 3 and 7 going in around the same time and upstairs being busy.
Lydia sold 3 Dark and Stormies today.-LB
Vibes were really excellent from a customer service standpoint today. The team was supporting each other, running glassware, hitting the floor, wiping down the bar, restocking routinely and doing all the stuff we want them to do.  -LB

FOH Staff Observations:
Siete continues to be a dishpit and unloading glassware helper every Saturday. -LB
Lots of really good vibes on the server team today. Everyone supporting each other. -LB

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
The iPad connected to the cash drawer at Trees was completely dead this morning when Matthew went to put the cash in the drawer this morning.  He told me that this is the second time this has happened in recent memory, and that sometimes bartenders will use the cord to charge their own phones.  Overall, service was not disrupted as Trees did not have any cash sales early in the day.  However, I will add a note to this week's email reminding bartenders that charging cords for POS iPads are not to be disconnected to charge personal devices. JH

Several bartenders made a comment to me about being appreciative of bringing the seventh person back to Saturday.  Speaking to Lauren about the potential for a lot of guests next weekend, I think it will be a great chance for us to see how our updated weekend batching and staffing works with two new, popular movies releasing. JH* I don't think next week was possible for 7 unfortunately, but the 30th it is, however all of the batching and staffing changes as a whole have certainly made me feel more available to give customers more front facing service when needed and just some extra touches here and there.-LB

Lauren and I discussed tomorrow's schedule, and pushed in-times back for some of the bartenders. 7Shifts is updated. JH

Baldor arrived.  The replacement box of collins glasses arrived, too. JH
I accidentally left lemons off the Baldor order today so I ordered stuff for tomorrow. Ian, can you just freeze all the Passionfruit please.-LB
US foods placed for Monday-LB

Maintenance:
Trees ice machine was showing error code 3 again today, but after a quick reset it went back to normal.  I do not believe the issues are related, but this did happen around the same time the urinals were flooding in the Trees bathroom.  I doubt they share a line (because eww), but I wonder if the flooding potentially causes a sudden drop in water pressure through the building.  But I am no plumber, that is Wyatt's honorary title. JH
This happened again later in the day, this is the code that there is a low water flow and this does happen when the dish pit in the kitchen gets busy. Will keep a continuous eye on it, but as long as we have ice for service it should not be a problem as long as we avoid that. -LB
