I had to discard the Sugar snap pea syrup from 4/3/26. I made an enormous batch because Baldor made an error and we got a big box of free snap peas. The syrup looked fine, but there were small spores on the lid. I will order smaller format of snap peas going forward and we won't have this issue.-LB

FYI I changed the garnish on Orchid thief to regular orchid. Not freezer. They got snowed over. -LB

Another very busy nite at the Hawk punctuated by some very difficult guests. Aside from those particular situations, everyone really handled the busy Monday well - lots of good attitudes and teamwork all around the building. - IP 

Customer Comments: 

A woman in theater 1 had trouble getting popcorn. I got her some at the bar and then had the cops escort her out. Oh yeah, she was screaming a lot at everyone in the theater.  What a Monday. I am sure Carly will write about this.  She is definitely a darling when out of the theater but she has a mental illness that prevents her from being allowed in our theaters in the future for sure. Unfortunately she ruined this screening for a lot of people.-LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Greg has been a real champion of the bar team the last couple days. Yesterday and today he really stepped up and kept everything steady through some really crazy rushes (and annoying and unforeseen snafus) - very thankful to have him on the team. - IP

After quite the eventful evening, and the post Lost Boys Trees rush died down, Patrick and Tevon sailed across the finish line. - IP

Special Events?
Lost Boys and Uncut Gems. Both screenings very well sold, good drink rushes and good pop at Trees. Smashing success on all fronts. - IP

Prep List: 

4 lemonades, 4 Froco.  Marg keg, orchid Thief. -LB

Batched lemonade twice tonight. Made Firewalk, 50 Year Storm, Iced Tea, more simple. As noted above, definitely get Arbol Tequila steeping first thing tomorrow in order to make more Firewalk (as noted, bars are stocked and there is a 12qt in the walk-in). 

The Princess Peach keg kicked tonight, so at some point we'll have to make a backup. 

Lauren noted that we should have a Margarita batched in a cambro ready to fill up a keg for Cinco de Mayo tomorrow. I didn't get to making that, so if that could also be made top of day. Thanks! - IP

Lost & Found?:
Pink bike helmet left at Trees - I popped it in the slim-jim on my way out. - IP

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:

Maintenance: 

I am uncertain of how to proceed with the Trees doors, I don't know what they are holding onto. 

The coffee machine gave an error code. The ice machine gave code 3. I power cycled and manual harvested the ice machine. And when I turned off the coffee machine the ice machine turned back on. Weird. 

I then restarted the coffee machine. All seems good, just flagging because I suspect there is a water source shortage as that is the error code the coffee machine gave. I cannot push the coffee machine back into place, if you can do that Ian, thanks. -LB

Coffee machine back into place. Everything was operating as normal with ice machine, but then also got the error code 3 message. Turned off the machine and turned her back on. Should be fine for tomorrow's opening. -IP
