Manager Communication:
Really fantastic work across the board during the Oscars, particularly during the initial (two hour!) service push. Had a couple of folks stick around Trees to watch the Oscars, but most guests were very eager to get into their theaters. JH
BAR Staff Observations:
Trees was absolutely packed with Oscars guests when I got in. Once both bars were set, I got both of the openers out of here and gave Charlie an overview of what service would be like this evening. Charlie did an excellent job holding down lobby solo, and was great in communicating any needs he had or offering glassware assistance to Trees.
Tevon, Darius, + Jeshua were the absolute dream team through a very busy Th1/2 service push. They were excellent at making sure they were prepared for service, and each moved between responsibilities without any direction needed on my part. I expo'd + trayed drinks, and the three of them were so on top of resetting and restocking glassware and ice that the pass never felt overwhelming. Could not have asked for a better line up this evening. JH
FOH Staff Observations:
FOH Staff Observations:
Servers on the ground floor supported each other throughout the night, third floor servers were a great help during the initial Oscars push, and the servers and support assigned to both Th1 + Th2 really did an amazing job keeping up with putting in orders and running drinks. JH
Special Events?
Bobby Carroll Irish Brunch was packed but smooth. Coffee was flowing, Guinnesses were consumed. All was merry. Obviously we don't do events with milks and juices freely available often, but the only note I have is to perhaps consider buying containers with lids for any liquid options for these such events - when they're kept on ice the carafes tend to slosh around and if they tip over it's a huge mess waiting to happen. Totally not a big deal at all, just noting it here. - IP

OSCAR NIGHT: Got the step and repeat set up amongst an absolute throng of screaming children. The St. Paddy's Party adults have been camping out at trees with their strollers since the parade ended. Hopefully they clear out by the time the Oscars party gets started, but just a heads up you might have some transitional weirdness between day and night shift haha. - IP
As mentioned above, the Oscar screenings were really well handled across all teams this evening. Guests were very excited, most of them were quite dressed up, and both theaters were bustling with drinks and food all the way up to check drop. Evening team felt very set up for this service, and it was appreciated across the board. JH
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Based on guest feedback, we may want to up the pars for our Oscar drink specials next year. Having both Th1/2 sell out with a bunch of people hyped on the awards meant we went through most of the specials during that initial service push. A good chunk of the initial cocktail orders that came to the service pass in the first ordering push were one of the specials. JH

We went through all of the Oscar specials this evening, so no left over product to add to the Mystery Cocktail list. JH

Strained Horchata and made a batch of Holy Mountain. After Bobby Carroll, I had Nat replenish the FWWM, Lemonade and Fro-Co.
Got all of the oscars drinks finalized and ready to go. - IP (Thank you, Ian! Trees Lounge was able to slide seamlessly into service once both theaters were open.) JH
