Friday 3.20.26 / Jenn, Gus, & Ariel / NPP Bar
Manager Communication: Jenn on inventory, I opened, Ariel closing -GS
BAR Staff Observations: Charlie opened. Jenn warned him we had some heavily sold shows for kids movies and to have plenty of lemonade on hand. He learned the hard way. -GS
We were not well prepared today. Matthew made it a point to mention to Charlie that needs to bring glass racks up at the beginning of the opening shift to make service smooth. He did not take it the best. Matthew was kind in his delivery but I think that we need to be more on Charlie when it comes to what to prep for Fridays. It is important that everyone is setup for success coming into their shift. Fridays constantly feel like we are playing catch up at all times. Matthew ends up having to bring everything up and do the restock on top of carrying the load of doing all theaters tickets during the rush and helping a section of guests because Charlie is unable to multi task. He can only manage one guest at a time and is slow. With Fridays now being 4 bartenders, we need either a stronger opener or us as managers making sure everything is perfectly set up for the shift ahead because when we actually get busy, this is not going to work. - AB2
FOH Staff Observations: Sam was really on it today.

Servers were not on top of pre bussing today. At the end of TH1 Hail Mary round, I got 20 glass racks strictly from the theaters within a 10 minute time span. I was going to buss in the theaters and talk to the servers about pre bussing but then I got side tracked by Ice Machine troubles (read under maintenance). I will be vocal in the moment next time but want to express that servers should pre buss right after check drop (I am under the impression that most think this is a time where they have nothing to do). We all understand how glass racks affect the bar but to put it into perspective for servers... Pre busing allows us to put glassware away when not in the middle of a rush, that means they wait less time for drinks because we're not scrambling for glasses for drinks, they also have access to more empty glass racks to stock the station, and it makes each flip immensely faster and easier. I will be making this a focal point of service on my shifts here going forward. There is no excuse for 20 dirty glass racks during a flip. - AB2

Maintenance:
Ice machine had a nice gunk worm in the pipe that empties the water. This left the machine filled with water. I used several different tools to try and take it out but failed. I ended up turning off the machine, burning all of the ice and plunging it. I got it out and turned the machine back on. Please check tomorrow when you get in that the machine is good and steady making ice. - AB
