Superbowl Sunday 2.08.2026 Ian



Manager Communication:
Wyatt and I opened up. Raekwon got everything ready to go for the special events in 4/6. Jenn texted me some odds and ends notes that were very helpful to get us ready for doors.
Lauren is still out sick - I will stick around for a while and make sure that the floor MOD's and bar team are set and ready to go before I leave - numbers are super chill from dinner round on, should hopefully be a breeze. - IP 
We had some technical issues in Trees and in the theater for the showing of the Big Game. The projector in Trees must not be well-connected to the digital link / cable line, because whenver we play anything from the cable box on the projector, it flickers in and out and goes to a black screen periodically before it rights itself and the picture and sound come back. It began to happen every few minutes and really became frustrating. If projection or someone could check out that connection and see if they can tighten it, or make it more secure that would be awesome - especially for when there are televised events we want on in the lounge. - IP
Went through the closing down procedure with Carly and Dion (and the bar team) to make sure everything was covered and everyone was in the know. Nice and early showings tonight, so they'll be able to get Charlie out of here quickly so he can get some recuperation time. - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Matt and Tevon - wonderful as always. Bars stocked and tidy, fruit cut - exemplary. Patrick got in right on time and hopped in to a busy Trees pop, post Jurassic Park. Charlie is on the mend and was able to get back behind the stick tonight, and we are happy to have him back! - IP
Got Tevon out of here right when Jeshua got in at 5p. Got the Big Game on in Trees and they were coasting - theaters were super chill and the bar crowd thinned out considerably after the sun went down. 
Jeshua is closing Trees with the pre-close assist from Patrick - given the low sales and cold weather, I don't anticipate the absence of a bar manager being a problem. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Kyah and Brea make a great team. - IP

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Lauren still sick. - IP

Special Events?
Blazing Saddles in Th6 was great and basically the entire party came out to Trees and hung out through the afternoon. That coupled with the Jurassic Park screening (omg so jealous) letting out around the same time gave Trees a nice little pop that perfectly coincided with Patrick's in-time. Well planned! - IP
Big Game - had some picture issues in the theater that Carly and projection handled - and similar issues in Trees that we just had to muscle through. Drink service went great, after Carly figured out how to get the Benito Special drink button to properly print at Trees. Once everything got underway it was smooth sailing. - IP

I requested that Jeshua note anything that should get made / kept an eye on tomorrow on the whiteboard in the liquor room that he notices when he closes tonight. - IP

Prep List:
I made the Benito batch for The Big Game, and also made another Bloody Mary mix - it used the last of our tomato juice that I could find. - IP
Backed us up on all of our kegs. - IP
Desperado is the only menu item that is not backed up in the walk-in - and we are starting to run low on Mulled Wine syrup, so maybe that could get made at some point this week. - IP

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Chef Jared lmk that no US Foods order was placed (obv, Lauren is sick) - so just a heads up that if there's anything we're short on, we should get it ordered first thing tomorrow so it's in by Wednesday. The walk-in is super stocked, so I think we should be fine until then - just wanted to make sure it's top of mind. - IP

Maintenance:
Trees ice machine continues to misbehave. Been trying to cycle and reset, but it continues to fail after about twenty minutes. Fetched ice from the lobby for Tevon, but the lobby machine is getting depleted rather quickly. - IP
As of 7:30p the Trees machine is still not working. - IP

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: Not much really happened tonight. Slow night in Tree's. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Gabrielle took the early cut since Tevon was willing to stick it out. Smooth sailing with no major kids films popping off.-LB I got Tevon out of here shortly after my arrival around 5. I then got Patrick out around 6:45. I was able to get Matthew out after the rush settled and he was out at 9:30. Jeshua closed Lobby and Fran closed in Tree's. - AB2 Special Events?  Team America World Police. Prep List: Natasha cranked out a big batch list: double Jurassic, Tang simple, infinity, lemonades, Moneypenny keg, bloody, she couldn't make bloody concentrate since kitchen didn't get garlic delivered-LB I batched a - Margarita - AB2 Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US Foods, Baldor coming tomorrow.  Manhattan arriving tomorrow Maintenance: I put the faces back on both ice machines they both seem happy. Manager Communication: GATE UPDATE: The gate was weird coming down today. It opened yesterday without issue. But it kind of needs to be put up then down. It is a few inches from the ground, safe enough for us, but definitely something to keep an eye on. -LB Opened the building with Wyatt - No Budge was sold out but chill, same with the first couple screenings of Minecraft. Other than one absolutely dreadful guest (more on that below), everything was super smooth. - IP Ordered Green goblin since Theater 2 was having a drain back up. -LB Having Trees open to the public during this party is fine, however I think we need to avail the Trees cocktails to those customers but have to mitigate those being ordered when it is this busy. -LB I tested the Brix for To infinity. It is 15. I think the issue is the coconut milk (oil) and other ingredients have different freezing temps. I think if we push the mix every few hours it will be fine, but happy to adjust recipe if needed. -LB Ordered 2 cases ...
