Manager Communication:
I spoke with Coke today and did a video call. We tried a fix, but they will need to send a technician out in the next 24-48 hours. They sound willing to replace both Trees guns that are issues, if I am not here please insist upon this and replacing the holster of the gun below the taps. It seems fairly isolated to the Trees soda tower, but while they are here they can double check the lobby system I suppose.-LB
Matthew said that we will likely launch the new dumbwaiter next Tuesday and we should all start getting in the practice of not using that table outside the liquor room. Also get used to slowing down, saying corner, knocking on the walk-in door. Jenn, if you want to mention this to the team in this week's email that would be great.-LB

The cash drawer in the lobby got stuck shut. Dion and I tried every electronic option to troubleshoot to no avail. I found a small key in the Trees drawer, that was almost certainly not intended to open the Lobby Drawer, however I was able to jimmy it open and the close was able to carry on as normal. I left the drawer taped open with a note for tomorrow (I will likely be the first one to see it, but just in case!) - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
I had to ask Lydia to stop doing a crossword behind the bar and they gave me pushback. -GS

Nat, Tevon and Charlie crushed a very busy Trivia. Greg also had a busy night in lobby - he got a decent amount of overflow. While Charlie was closing I gave him some pointers about how to bundle/count in a way that will be more organized and accurate for him, and also make it easier on the closing MOD (mainly making sure that the smaller bills end up back in the bank and the big bills go to the drop). -IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Ryan is a joy to be around. - IP

Hiring/Training:
I swung Lydia upstairs so that Natasha could give Charlie the rundown on serving the floor for Trivia. Natasha can do it in her sleep, and is a great example to follow. I'll check in with Charlie after Trivia to see how he's feeling. - IP

Nat gave him a quick overview. Charlie has serving experience, so he said he just wants to get a little more second-nature with the floor plan - otherwise he's ready to take on the challenge. - IP

Special Events?
Trivia - we're getting so popular we may need to consider getting some more chairs and or tables for the mezz, plus some possible screenage up there. Not pushing for this, we just very often have guests who are amped for Trivia but we have run out of seats. Just thinking out loud. - IP

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
First meeting of the new year and it's going to be a great one! We talked about an overall tightening up all of our SOP's and making sure that everyone is on the same page - especially going into trying to schedule a bit lighter during the week - the more consistent everyone can be, the easier everything is to run. - IP
