Thursday 12.18 Jenn/Lauren



Manager Communication: 
Mellow first round to start the day, but that left ample time to prep for this evening's events and put away a bunch of deliveries. JH
Boxes of glassware arrived, Jenn did a lot of heavy lifting today so they are still boxed on bar prep area. We are both unsure how to roll them out. The food donations will be dropped off tomorrow by Lydia with the help of Ariel. -LB




BAR Staff Observations: Natasha and Matthew made quick work of the party together and the pre-Batman rush. Greg held down a busy lobby-LB

FOH Staff Observations: Runners rolled with the punches navigating through the party. Erech is an absolute gem helping me break down the party. Not a surprise there at all. -LB



Special Events? Batman Returns and 14th Street holiday party. 
The holiday party close out was wonky because I didn't know he would pay with a check and he had a check written for an amount that didn't cover the food. He wanted the soft drinks separately. So I processed the amount for the food (940.24) to house account as Chenelle advised, but the check is only for 913.13.  I charged him 96.28 for the soft drinks etc and he paid the remainder of the food bill and the soft drink tab with cash. So the drawer will be over by 27.11. 940.24-913.13=27.11  27.11+96.28=123.39 
I will drop the check with the cash for Trees. Sorry this is complicated, but there really was no way around it. -LB 
Jared helped me figure it out because he is the best. Tendered the check to House and closed the remainder in cash. -LB

Prep List:  Jenn made a Black Manhattan keg and started a batch list for Tevon tomorrow. I unfortunately had no time to help knock anything out.-LB




Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 
Baldor + Manhattan + Sarene + Skurnik + Union arrived.  We also got two cases of rice milk and a bunch of glassware. JH

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: Not much really happened tonight. Slow night in Tree's. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Gabrielle took the early cut since Tevon was willing to stick it out. Smooth sailing with no major kids films popping off.-LB I got Tevon out of here shortly after my arrival around 5. I then got Patrick out around 6:45. I was able to get Matthew out after the rush settled and he was out at 9:30. Jeshua closed Lobby and Fran closed in Tree's. - AB2 Special Events?  Team America World Police. Prep List: Natasha cranked out a big batch list: double Jurassic, Tang simple, infinity, lemonades, Moneypenny keg, bloody, she couldn't make bloody concentrate since kitchen didn't get garlic delivered-LB I batched a - Margarita - AB2 Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US Foods, Baldor coming tomorrow.  Manhattan arriving tomorrow Maintenance: I put the faces back on both ice machines they both seem happy. Manager Communication: GATE UPDATE: The gate was weird coming down today. It opened yesterday without issue. But it kind of needs to be put up then down. It is a few inches from the ground, safe enough for us, but definitely something to keep an eye on. -LB Opened the building with Wyatt - No Budge was sold out but chill, same with the first couple screenings of Minecraft. Other than one absolutely dreadful guest (more on that below), everything was super smooth. - IP Ordered Green goblin since Theater 2 was having a drain back up. -LB Having Trees open to the public during this party is fine, however I think we need to avail the Trees cocktails to those customers but have to mitigate those being ordered when it is this busy. -LB I tested the Brix for To infinity. It is 15. I think the issue is the coconut milk (oil) and other ingredients have different freezing temps. I think if we push the mix every few hours it will be fine, but happy to adjust recipe if needed. -LB Ordered 2 cases ...
