Manager Communication: This business would not function without the excellence and diligence of every hourly employee. The servers and bar team handled a lot of pivots today. Every floor manager was in a million directions. Dwight in the lobby. Projectionists hustling to try and find solutions wherever they could. Impressive heart by all.-LB
The bar team has expressed happiness with my accidental purchase of the 56 oz OJ, since it fits in the service well inserts without issue. I will stock this size unless any of you have a reasonable objection.-LB
Customer Comments: Unfortunately one set of customers were moved to the front row of theater 4 for No Other Choice despite purchasing a far back seat in theater 2. I could not swap them with anyone so I refunded the amount. I gave them two passes and offered them a round at Trees. I suspect films with subtitles the distance from screen is more relevant to some guests. -LB
BAR Staff Observations:
Greg and Natasha made sure to do a hefty restock at both bars before open, so we were able to sail through the first two rounds of service. Lydia was in at one, and Trees was really popping as we began the third round screenings. JH
When adjusting tabs I noticed that there was a buyback on a single check. J30 from 2:40pm at Trees. I don't know which bartender did it but it was Nat and Lydia, if we want to refresh this protocol in the weekly email.-LB
N6 ticket in lobby for a Gift card reloaded 18.00 from 1:23pm, just don't know what happened. Rebecca closed the ticket.-LB
J37 from this afternoon Queso with no preauth or notes, I closed it out to Bad/Debt, but unusual to see at Trees-LB

Matthew let myself and Ariel know yesterday that he was having back pain and would be unable to work his shift today. Pushed Lydia's in-time back to 1:00pm, and service ran smoothly. JH
Gus has the flu, so will not be able to work his closing shift tomorrow. Ian is going to cover that shift, and I will be working brunch tomorrow morning. JH
I cut Patrick's mid-shift tomorrow and pushed Nia back to 11:30am. -LB

Had guest get a splinter in their finger from one of the tables on Mezz, so they came to the bar to see if we had any tweezers. Unfortunately, I could only find a plastic pair, which definitely took some patience as they were not as precise as metal ones would have been. I asked Lauren to order a pair or two of metal tweezers to stock in the Trees First Aid kit, and then one for back up. JH
Servers and runners have really been great about helping us keep glassracks moving through the glasswasher at Trees, which is really appreciated. If service emails this week could just include a reminder to rinse out and flip any glasses left upright in the racks. JH
Prep List:
Since we were down a bartender, I got ahead of some batching this morning. Made Arbol Tequila + Fire Walk With Me + Frozen Coke + Horchata (to be strained tomorrow morning) + Lemonade + Simple Syrup. We will probably have to make a couple of kegs either tonight or tomorrow: Black Manhattan + Mr. & Mrs. Tom Collins + Negroni. JH (We can hold these kegs for Tevon for Monday batch shift)
I made Tea, Greed is Good, Honey lemon syrup and Menta cream. -LB
