Monday 12.1.25 / Ariel, Lauren, & Ian / NPP Bar

Manager Communication: 
I moved the FF glassware to various liquor boxes that are under the runners table. I also brought the rack of coupes out from the liquor room and packed up the rack of pilsner glasses that was in the back. This has availed 6 new dish racks.  The blue ones are slightly heavier but will due until we slow down.-LB 
I put up some Christmas lights at Trees. There are two boxes of lights in the closet that might have been downstairs last year, happy to put them up wherever tomorrow. -LB
Did some fun R&D for new Spoons cocktails, brainstorming with each other always brings out the best ideas. Excited to revamp stuff. -LB

Seconded for the Spoons R&D. I made a Captain Crunch Simple Syrup. I love my job. - IP
Ariel and Lauren got us caught up on a bunch of stuff - and the Holiday decor is starting to look lovely. Sleepy day aside from No Budge. - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Greg and Patrick are great as usual. Lydia and Nia held down lobby bar and did a really nice job directing confused guests up to Trees and into the theater for No Budge. 
I cut Greg around 8:30, as the No Budge crowd barely appeared at Trees beforehand, but afterwards they rushed the bar as a unit. I jumped in and Patrick and I handled it easily. - IP
Nia received a counterfeit $50, but did not realize it until the guest had left. I chatted with her about making sure that before you do anything with a large bill, immediately check with the marker. Perhaps we could also mention this in the upcoming bar email - just a general reminder to not get caught sleeping. - IP

Special Events? 
No Budge. Monty Python. 

No Budge was a snoozer before hand but they came to party afterward! I ended up hopping behind the bar to help with the initial push with Patrick, but once everyone got their first round it was mostly milling about and talking. Staffing was good - would be nice to have a staggered opening situation to have an extra pair of hands for these later in the evening events - but we made do. - IP

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper. Manager Communication: Slow night at the bar, but The WOrst Person opened pretty big which was nice to see.  BAR Staff Observations: Everyone did great. Was able to get Jenn and Jo out earlyish.  FOH Staff Observations: Solid crew tonight, no issues on my end.  86ed / counts on items: Tecate Prep List : Should be all prepped up going in to tomorrow. We will probably need hot toddy at some point, but no urgency.  Over/Short on Banks: Lobby bar was $10 short.  Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Manhattan did not come in this week, so we did not get tecate or high life. Our rep is following up.
