Manager Communication:
Zootopia and Wicked alternating body blows, but this team just keeps on truckin'. Wyatt and I opened everything up - staffed well, and ready for the onslaught. 
There was a snafu with Patrick's in-time today - we connected via text and got everything situated. Had him report at 2p so that he could jump right into the rush for the sold out 1:45 Wicked in theater 1 (I updated everything accordingly in 7Shifts). - IP
Around the time we 86'd brunch, Wyatt informed me that Chef Stewart discovered the hot water for the building was kaput. We are continuing to run glassware through the Trees dishpit, and I have been pouring sani buckets full of hot water from the Tea spigot into the cold solution of chemicals. Best band-aid I could muster given the business level. More below in maintenance. - IP
Unpacked and rehoused some residents of Booze Island.-LB

Customer Comments: A group from Theater 2 6:30pm Wicked came out and asked me to adjust their check since they did not get an item. I adjusted it and brought it back to Kyah. They were very understanding.-LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Greg and Nat make these very busy times so much easier for everyone with their thorough opening and constant hard work. Really crushed the busy opening rounds. Nia was a little late getting in today, so I asked her to please text me (or whomever is managing the bar that day) to let us know if she was running late - she informed me she did not know how to figure out which manager was on duty that shift, and that she didn't want to accidentally bother anyone on their off day...(?) - so I showed her how to find all of the pertinent information on 7Shifts. Hopefully this will not be an issue going forward. - IP

FOH Staff Observations: The long holiday weekend is definitely starting to wear on the vibes, but still an incredible hustle and worth ethic from everyone.-LB

Hiring/Training: Nia was crushing it tonight as hands. Everything is clicking and I'm very happy to see it. -LB



Special Events?
East of Eden and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - First floor was mercifully relaxed for the first round, but everything upstairs was busyyyy. Everyone did a great job with the crowd control and the service seemed to flow nicely. - IP

THE CHILDREN THIRST FOR LEMONADE. Already had to re-up with a triple batch before brunch was over, and also made a whole lot more simple syrup. O.F. Keg kicked, and I haven't gotten to the Black Manhattan Keg yet. - IP  
Tea, wanted to wait til hot water was back before hitting batch mode. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. -LB

Maintenance:
Hot water is gone as of 3ish - unclear if someone is going to be able to come out on such short notice on a Sunday. Hopefully this can get fixed ASAP. - IP
Hot water was on for like 40 minutes around 7. -LB

Mobilebytes: It has been requested to have a No Garnish button on all drinks, just as a blanket. This seems simple enough. -LB

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: Not much really happened tonight. Slow night in Tree's. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Gabrielle took the early cut since Tevon was willing to stick it out. Smooth sailing with no major kids films popping off.-LB I got Tevon out of here shortly after my arrival around 5. I then got Patrick out around 6:45. I was able to get Matthew out after the rush settled and he was out at 9:30. Jeshua closed Lobby and Fran closed in Tree's. - AB2 Special Events?  Team America World Police. Prep List: Natasha cranked out a big batch list: double Jurassic, Tang simple, infinity, lemonades, Moneypenny keg, bloody, she couldn't make bloody concentrate since kitchen didn't get garlic delivered-LB I batched a - Margarita - AB2 Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US Foods, Baldor coming tomorrow.  Manhattan arriving tomorrow Maintenance: I put the faces back on both ice machines they both seem happy. Manager Communication: GATE UPDATE: The gate was weird coming down today. It opened yesterday without issue. But it kind of needs to be put up then down. It is a few inches from the ground, safe enough for us, but definitely something to keep an eye on. -LB Opened the building with Wyatt - No Budge was sold out but chill, same with the first couple screenings of Minecraft. Other than one absolutely dreadful guest (more on that below), everything was super smooth. - IP Ordered Green goblin since Theater 2 was having a drain back up. -LB Having Trees open to the public during this party is fine, however I think we need to avail the Trees cocktails to those customers but have to mitigate those being ordered when it is this busy. -LB I tested the Brix for To infinity. It is 15. I think the issue is the coconut milk (oil) and other ingredients have different freezing temps. I think if we push the mix every few hours it will be fine, but happy to adjust recipe if needed. -LB Ordered 2 cases ...
