Manager Communication:
First round was mellow, with Th1 leading the way in sales with Jaws but all of the other theaters doing okay, too.  Easygoing service to start the day, and second round followed suit.  Had a couple of folks stop by to just chill at Trees, which was nice for a Saturday brunch. JH
Broke out two cases of 16 oz tumblers. I am ordering some 12 oz cups ahead of the holidays.  Once film feast is over we should check mug and coupe inventory. I am also order two boxes of drink service trays to have on stand by in those cabinets. -LB
Busy, busy everywhere.  Days like this show off how well-prepared we are but they also remind us how there is never too much preparation.-LB
The straw container at the Trees service pass is sort of enormous. Going to scale down to a smaller one, since most servers grab straws from their theaters anyway, it will tighten our mise en place.-LB
Raekwon killing training and being a darling as always.-LB
Vlad (and Gus) did a great job cleaning some stuff in the walk-in, thanks-LB

BAR Staff Observations: 
Got both openers out of here before four, since the second round in both big theaters was fairly mellow for the team we had on.  Matthew went down to Lobby and Greg held down Trees until Gabrielle got in at 4:30pm. JH

FOH Staff Observations:
Lots of helpful hands with eyes up and engaged. Runners in the kitchen actively engaged in work! 
I agree  with Jeremy we should have the bus tub for the runners on the steel shelf. I will print something as an additional reminder to bartenders to take the second bus bin down.
Also, Trees had no roll ups, I told them to rectify it and there was no silverware in the kitchen.  I will remind opening weekend bartenders to keep the eyes on grabbing stuff.-LB

Hiring/Training:  lots of new faces settling in having good vibes to share around.-LB



Staff Meeting Agenda notes: I think it is time for us to discuss the seating at Trees Lounge. I think the tables for trivia are too bulky for the weekend service, but I think we definitely could come up with something that would be good for our busy Saturday nights. -LB

Lost & Found?: I seemingly lost both of my gold hugger hoops today. So if you come across small gold hoops. I found one in the liquor room late, so hopefully the other one fell off in my apartment. LMK if any small good hoops are found. Thanks.-LB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US Foods placed for Monday AB, just soda, oat milk and Saratoga-LB

Maintenance: 
More on this in the FOH Blog, but the dumbwaiter folks were not here at 5:00am, and arrived around 8:00am.  By the time I arrived at 9:30am, they were packing up their stuff and leaving because they could not complete the work.  Wyatt alerted Matthew, so he is aware of the situation. JH

A tech (his name was Dymtro) came by to check on the frozen machine in Lobby, and was able to diagnose the lingering issue.  He said that we need a freon recharge and the base needs to be disassembled and deep cleaned.  I looped in Gus, he spoke with the service, and they should be coming back Wednesday.  

In the meantime, all three tumblers are frozen and ready for service.  The main issue is that it takes them hours longer to freeze than it should, so it really only impacted the first round on the ground floor.  We were going to transfer the two-tumbler frozen machine from Trees to downstairs once Dymtro left, but decided to hold steady since Lobby was able to serve all three drinks.  For the time being, let's make sure that bartenders in Lobby are topping off the tumblers sparingly, so as not to drop the temp too much. JH

The service sink at Trees got totally full of water without draining. I bailed the water out and did some green goblin. I snaked the drain with a little brush. It is full of seeds. It should be good, but I did just do this, so something to just keep an eye on. -LB

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: Not much really happened tonight. Slow night in Tree's. - AB2 BAR Staff Observations: Gabrielle took the early cut since Tevon was willing to stick it out. Smooth sailing with no major kids films popping off.-LB I got Tevon out of here shortly after my arrival around 5. I then got Patrick out around 6:45. I was able to get Matthew out after the rush settled and he was out at 9:30. Jeshua closed Lobby and Fran closed in Tree's. - AB2 Special Events?  Team America World Police. Manager Communication: GATE UPDATE: The gate was weird coming down today. It opened yesterday without issue. But it kind of needs to be put up then down. It is a few inches from the ground, safe enough for us, but definitely something to keep an eye on. -LB Opened the building with Wyatt - No Budge was sold out but chill, same with the first couple screenings of Minecraft. Other than one absolutely dreadful guest (more on that below), everything was super smooth. - IP Ordered Green goblin since Theater 2 was having a drain back up. -LB Having Trees open to the public during this party is fine, however I think we need to avail the Trees cocktails to those customers but have to mitigate those being ordered when it is this busy. -LB I tested the Brix for To infinity. It is 15. I think the issue is the coconut milk (oil) and other ingredients have different freezing temps. I think if we push the mix every few hours it will be fine, but happy to adjust recipe if needed. -LB Ordered 2 cases ...
