Manager Communication:
First round was great on all three floors. Not crazy busy, but enough to banish those slow season blues. JH
PTA said SLOW WHO?? OBAA is raking it in. Excellent sales and they are THIRSTY. The drink special is selling very well, and this is a booooozy crowd in general. Team was firing on all cylinders across the board - servers were helping out with the glassware, the bar team was expediting and communicating wonderfully and all of the extremely busy service pushes went very smoothly. Sometimes when we come out of a business lull there can be a slower response to meet the business demands, but everyone seems really excited for it to be busy and stepped up and did a great job.

We had a guest (ticket G51) who had a soda spilled on them, and subsequently did not receive a soda refill or popcorn refill that they had ordered. They were not charged for the items they never received, however they (understandably) felt as though there was not enough attention given to them considering the spill. I took an additional beer and Al's Can off of their bill (along with the goodwill popcorn and soda) and gave them two passes to come back. They said they frequent our establishment and have never had an experience like this, so I am very confident that their next evening with us will go much more smoothly. - IP
BAR Staff Observations:
BAR Staff Observations:
Staffing behind the bars felt pretty good during brunch. Flexibility to do restocks, batch lists, and cover for breaks without needing to adhere to a very tight timeline. Later rounds are definitely busier this evening, so we proactively made sure Trees and lobby were stocked to the gills with booze and glassware before the third round popped off. JH
The team handled a gloriously busy Saturday night like a dream. Staffing levels were right on - was able to get openers out right when closers came in - and Nat helped sub ppl out for family meal. Matt and Jeshua made a sold out three-banger on the first floor look easy, while Gab, Lydia and Charlie were fantastic at Trees - handling sold out rush after sold out rush, and providing glowing service for the private event on the mezz from 8-10. Swung Jeshua up to support the busiest crunch of the dinner rush, and when that was over, he went back to lobby and Matt got outta here. Gold stars all around. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Madison, Torey, Caleb, and Tiffany were instrumental in supporting the bar and their theaters all night. I commended them in the moment, as the whole Nitehawk machine was working exactly the way it is designed to, and we never got in the weeds. - IP

Little 20 person mezz buyout was lovely! Chenelle held it down and they were all super chill and drank a bunch! - IP
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Gave lobby bartenders a heads up about the expected age range of Gabby's Dollhouse guests, and to be proactive about explaining stroller and baby policy when appropriate. JH

86'd Rebel with a Cause until menu change on Friday. JH

Matthew batched up negroni & margarita kegs, along with some FWWM, Lemonade, & Suite 55 to get us ready for evening service. JH
The special is moving well, so definitely keep eyes on the levels. Couldn't find more Yuzu so whatever they have behind the bars is what we have til tomorrow for Hinokami. OF keg kicked last night, so we will have to make another at some point (probably quite quickly with how the OBAA crowd seems to heavily favor drinks with orange garnish - speaking of which we are going to need to buy more oranges tomorrow before service). IP
Not sure if we want to batch more Violet or not - there is a good deal in the frozen machine tanks, but no backup at the moment - I'm not sure if we have enough to get through to menu change without having to actively 86 it. We can discuss tomorrow. - IP

We are pretty much totally out of oranges - we will need to buy some from the store tomorrow before open. - IP

The Trees cash drawer was having issues because it was not on sockets at open, but a hard reset of the printer and card reader settled it. It was the first transaction of the day, and has not popped us as a problem again. JH
Drawer was on its best behavior this evening. - IP
