Manager Communication:
First round was definitely dominated by the special event, with Th1's Jackass: The Movie having the largest crowd of the morning.  The second round was a bit more mellow, which gave both bars time to reset and restock before closers got in. JH

Jenn did an excellent job with communicating the status of the bars and the day so far, and getting me up to speed with what might need attention later in the evening. We coordinated to make sure everyone had plenty of time to have family meal, and then got into the dinner round. I saw, across the board, a good level of communication on the handoff from day to night - really awesome and helpful! - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Lydia did not check their schedule and had assumed they were closing this evening.  When they did not show up this morning, I reached out and left a voicemail, and they text me back moments later that they were going to get ready and jump in a car and head over.  Myself and Matthew opened lobby, and Lydia arrived before doors, at 10:20am.  Ian and I went over their written warning for the lateness, and that has been signed and scanned. JH

When closers got in at 5, Maya and Lydia began resetting the bars and making their way out. It was busy in Trees tonight! People are back from vacation and ready to chill. Greg, Gab and Charlie did a great job tonight. Gab held down a very very busy service pass, and Charlie and Greg were excellent with the large crowd at Trees. Jeshua handled some very well sold first floor screenings easily, as per usual. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Caleb was on it this evening. Great hustle. - IP

Special Events?
The event went well today, with Trees definitely having its largest crowd in the time before the screenings started.  Matthew & Maya were the dream team, and were great about paying attention to event specifics and communicating any on-the-fly needs.  The food set up on the bar did cause some awkward bottlenecking, but nothing that overly-disrupted the flow of service.  JH

86ed / counts on items:
Palmdale - 12
Blame Giuliani - 34

86 Brookie - IP

Prep List:
Syrups (Grape Maple + Rhubarb Balsamic) for Fall R&D tasting are in the walk-in.  Re-upped on Frozen Coke, Iced Tea, Lemonade, & Simple Syrup after the event, and we are well-stocked behind the bars and in the walk-in. JH

Walk-in was sparse EOD, so I made some Firewalks, Violet, and a Lemonade. Everything else should be good to go - keep eyes on Giuliani and Palmdale, and also Tornado Wrangler - dunno how much longer we'll keep the specials so we should be good to let it ride after the first round tomorrow. - IP

Maintenance:
Trees ice machine stopped making ice at some point during the night, but then began making ice on its own again around 9:00am.  Because of the event, I didn't have a chance to do any fiddling behind the panel, and when I got around to it at 12:00pm the bin was filling up at a normal rate. JH

She stopped making ice around 3:00pm.  We let her rest and then Ian did an ice harvest cycle and a hard reset, and we were back in business. JH

Continued to have to coax ice out of the machine throughout the night - it seems to get stuck in a max harvest cycle and then give up - in that instance I do the manual harvest, then restart and it usually works for a bit. It was just crazy humid tonight, so I think the machines were just cranky. - IP

Ice machines seemingly fully operational. They just love to be dramatic. - IP
