Manager Communication: 

Lots of stuff happening all over today. - LB

The evening was filled with great training all around. Nia and Val got the first class education of Tevon and Darius - and from my vantage point, those professors should get tenure. Truly a thorough comprehensive days from both trainers and trainees. There was a lot of weird stuff tonight too, capped off with cleaning up a big ol' pile of yarf outside of theater 1! Tuesday!! - IP

BAR Staff Observations:

Darius was phenomenal as a trainer. He cares deeply about Nitehawk and that really comes through when he's showing new people the ropes. I will miss him here at NPP! - IP

FOH Staff Observations: I asked Sabrina to show Nia a greet in Theater 1 for the 6:15pm showing and she came to the MOD office in tears. She was taken by surprise by this request and she had a blind customer in one of her rows so she didn't want to have her attention diverted. I told her that was okay. I took Nia to the kitchen where Sara showed her some of how the magic happens.

I came across Sabrina's blind guests almost walking down the back stairs by MOD. They were having trouble finding a bathroom. I escorted them to the third floor bathroom and back down. -LB

Raekwon took Nia to do a greet and initial ordering round in Theater 4 for the next round, and everything went smoothly! Rae said she did a great job and made specific mention that she is a very fast learner. - IP

Hiring/Training: Nia was here for Day 2.  Nia got to see Trees set up, a runner trail with Sara/George.  She will be going with Raekwon to see what happens after the Fire walks, walk out of the bar.-LB

Val was here for day 1. I knocked out her paperwork and tour.  She will be with Tevon to close tonight.-LB

Nia was awesome today! Very green as far as bartending, but displays a great amount of competence as a service industry professional. Definitely eager to learn and clearly pays close attention. Darius was excellent as a trainer today - he took advantage of the slow non-Trivia Tuesday to point out that Monday through Friday are the most important days to make sure that the bar is kept prepped and ready for the busier times on the weekends - and that slow days like these are the perfect time to check dates on everything in the fridge, replace anything that is questionable and keep it tidy before we don't have the luxury of time. This is such important knowledge and forethought, and it's awesome that he made sure to impart it. - IP

Val took to this like a duck to water. No notes bartending-wise. Knows her stuff. Just needs reps on the technical/POS/Recipes side of things, but she is an absolute pro. - IP

We got the other tornado fans. We can use these in the new bar prep room since it will be hot in there, will store in box in liquor room.-LB

Maintenance: 

Restarted Lobby machine today and it has been working since. Hopefully that weird water issue is over.

Main elevator is back!! - LB

Lobby ice machine had a slow water fill warning (3) again at the end of the night. I reset it and turned it back on and hopefully it will churn out some ice overnight. 

Cleaned the bubblers at trees for you, Lauren - and Darius emptied the far Frozens. Everything should be easy to get to tomorrow! - IP
