Wednesday 7/9/25 Lauren/Ian/Jenn
Manager Communication:
Lauren and I got the machines cleaned and ready and then did some liquor room tetris in some advanced prep for the construction. Hank's Documentary people came through and Lauren took point - and then enjoyed the show! Jenn got in and jumped right in to get the evening crew up to speed and ready for the night. - IP
Trees was absolutely packed from about 7-9:30, with the post-Hanks screening crowd and our neighborhood running group. Both crowds were lovely and kept Trees busy well through the initial service push for Super 8. JH
BAR Staff Observations:
BAR Staff Observations:
Matt and Tevon continue to be wonderful openers. Day was pretty relaxed until the Hank's people started coming in. - IP
Swung Tevon upstairs around 7, and he, Matthew, and Gabrielle absolutely crushed service at the bar, with lots of new faces and return guests. Barring a few times where I popped in to do some theater tickets, they held down service handily. Jeshua did much the same, and held down Lobby solo once Tevon floated upstairs. JH
FOH Staff Observations:
FOH Staff Observations:
Isobel, Monica, and Rebecca always crushing it at the Trees service pass. Helping us catch up on glassware when they see bar team is otherwise occupied, and fantastic about running trays to other theaters. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
I had a cute lil idea that might help to offload some of the excess of random liquor bottles we have building up in the liquor room - a Trees only drink special and we call it "Coming Attractions" - anything we're working on we like but don't have room for, we can use one of those bottles for a batch of something very limited and special - like a preview for our upcoming menu possibilities. Also a good way to gauge guest interest in possible future minded menu items. Just a thought. - IP

Follow up to the broken off wheel on the lowboy door at Trees, that I mentioned on Saturday: Juan said we need to reach out to the people we got the lowboy from, as the entire wheel bracket was broken off and we may need to replace the whole door at this point.

FOH blog will go into more detail, but we had an issue with about half of our payment terminals going out of service, which then kept any stations from being able to enter tips. James reached out to Heartland and kept us all informed as to what was going on. After a reset and update (? a bit fuzzy on the proper terminology) all stations were able to enter tips again. However this was only good for checks that were closed out after the reset.

Roughly half of the tabs closed with a card at Trees could not have their tips entered. The stack is included with the drop, but is bundled on its own and labeled. I'll be in tomorrow morning, so will try to get those tips entered once we figure out a workaround. JH
