Manager Communication:
Frozen machines and bubblers serviced - while working around the new steel installation at both tap towers at Trees - they look great! James was a big help to me opening the building as Lauren is out sick today.  - IP

The bar mats at Trees are in extremely poor condition - I feel like I heard more were ordered? If they have yet to be ordered, could we make that happen ASAP? - IP

It was a very cocktail heavy night at Trees, which we love to see our bartenders crush.  There was something about the late July evening that had people really hankering for some martinis.  Third round had a bit of a service crunch at Trees, but overall the evening went very well and we had a ton of guests just chilling at Trees. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Great work all around.  Tevon got lobby through the beginning of the second round, did some batching, and got out of here.  Jeshua, as is to be expected from our lobby closer superstar, held down lobby for the rest of the evening solo.  Matthew stuck around through the initial service push for the third round Th2 Eddington, and then left Gabrielle stocked and ready.

Unfortunately, because the delay in opening Th1 (FOH blog has more detail) wasn't mentioned to the bar until right before doors opened, I had already cut Matthew and Gabrielle was solo for a very busy service pass.  I jumped in and took service tickets for about an hour, while Gabrielle offered back up when she wasn't engaged with bar guests.  I spoke with Carly and completely understand why communication got muddled, and bar service was not adversely affected, but I was unable to answer walkie calls for a long portion of that extended service push.  Afterwards, Gabrielle closed Trees without issue JH

FOH Staff Observations:
I know I mentioned this in a recent blog, but Kat has been such a positive, helpful presence at the service pass, no matter which theater she is in or supporting.  Really helpful with newer servers getting into the pace of service pushes, too. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Lauren - IP

Special Events?
Punks screening. - IP

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
As I mentioned above, I was off the floor for probably a little over an hour helping Gabrielle work through the delayed third round Th1 push, with a very sold third floor and a late round Eddington also in service, and a very busy Trees Lounge.  There were other pops in the second round, when Matthew was still behind the bar, where I had to hop in a few times, but those were brief in comparison.

Gabrielle mentioned that Wednesday night closes have definitely gotten a bit more involved since Wednesdays have been getting steadily busier, but we both agreed not busy enough to justify two closers.  But I also want to insure that the floor doesn't lose a bar manager to the service pass during a very busy time.  I would like to discuss potential options next week when bar management team has a chance to meet. JH

86ed / counts on items:
High Noon Black Cherry is on a count (18). JH

Prep List:
Made some stop-gap lemonade (3) and got a Rebel Keg charging (needs to be taken off charge at 7:45p). Will probably need to make more Firewalk at some point tonight. - IP

Had Tevon get us up on some FWWM and Lemonade before he got out of here, and I got ahead of some Simple Syrup for Friday's prep shift.  I'll make some Arbol Tequila tomorrow, too. JH

Pay Outs:
$119.02 (Plumbing Supplies)
$44.86 (First Aid) JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Received: Sarene, Empire (just one six pack of Farmer's Gin), Union, Twelve Percent - IP

Amazon arrived (silver luster dust & squeegee mop). JH

Maintenance:
The iced tea tumbler stopped working around 6:00pm, while the lemonade continued to run fine.  We transitioned to store-n-pours for iced tea for the rest of service, and filled the tumbler with water in the meantime.  It eventually began running again, both with agitation and cooling, without anyone tinkering around with it.  I told Jeshua to keep the water in it overnight, and if it is still working when I get in tomorrow I will have the lobby opener put the iced tea back into the bubbler. JH

Mobilebytes Issues:
The card reader at the far side of Trees Lounge is kaput.  Carly brought it back to the office, but none of us could get it to stay on for more than a moment before it would automatically shut down. JH
