Manager Communication:
Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.
We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB

I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB
Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. I worry he would not hear us if we walkie him. -LB

Customer Comments: I half-comped a salad for a guest that was generous enough to move so two people could sit together, I didn't note that on the check, by accident. It was in Katherine's Sinners in theater 7. Unfortunately the couple whom I helped out left early due to a family emergency. -LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Aside from the sold out "Do the Right Thing" the everything was super chill leading up to Patrick's arrival at 1p. Greg and Maya crushed their openings.
Patrick picked up the Thursday Lobby open shift.-LB
Darius was clutch coming in early today. They all hustled hard and set themselves up for success on a short-handed team. -LB

FOH Staff Observations:
Vinny, Brea and Kyah ran the sold out "Do the Right Thing" like  a dream. Great work all around. - IP

I observed Nithya sneeze and then touch her hair and face, then a tray. We were in the Trees Service pass, I didn't want to be overbearing, but maybe a DOH reminder for servers during menu change meeting? Sorry, I cowered to say something in the moment, because I think she is scared of me.-LB
A very heart-warming goodbye to Fredo. We will miss him.-LB

Hiring/Training:
Word of the opening of a position on the bar team spreads very fast here - I think it would be good to have a thorough discussion about what direction we want to go when looking for a new member of the bar team. - IP

Bar Staff meeting: Reminding the bar staff to keep the ice wells full enough to keep the black recessed cocktail ingredients cold as well, easy to have stuff melt down to not an effective level in this heat.-LB

Prep List: Ian cranked out simple and a checks all the boxes.  I made two late night lemonades.-LB

Pay Outs: $40 for kitchen train 7150 Bar grocery 6.25

Lost & Found?: There has been a kids scooter on the stroller parking landing for about three weeks, if we want to donate it.-LB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Baldor, To Rise, will email Ariel deets-LB

Maintenance:
The lobby gate is beeping again - Wyatt and I tried resetting it by holding the buttons down, as this is the only directive we know about - but to no avail. Wyatt made a note in the maintenance doc and moved it to the top. The gate is operational, just the very loud, incessant beeping. - IP

I am looking into a repair person for the coffee machine LED panel at Trees, will update.-LB

In keeping with the Face/Off ice machine theme, I took the Face/Off of the Trees machine, because
"In order to fix the machine, I had to become the machine" sorry that is a tagline riff.  It was saying the bin was full, when bin was not full.
Troubleshooting hack for this situation: Turn it off. Press Manual Harvest to make sure it has no ice, undropped.  Press Manual harvest again after it may have or have not dropped ice. This should allow you to turn the machine back on and have it make ice.-LB

The air mover at Trees was not working, I swapped it for the clean one from bar prep. I plugged it in and it works. I am deep cleaning it because it is caked with dust. I will finish this tomorrow night.
I went back to plug in the other air mover and noticed the outlet in the dishpit under the brooms, has a broken peg in one outlet, and the other looks like it may have shorted? I will add to maintenace doc but it is likely we need to just replace the outlet components.-LB
