Manager Communication:
Massive shoutout to the film schedule, keeping the Superman films showing at 1 hour 15 minutes apart was the perfect amount of time for staff to reset between service rushes. JH
This above is totally TRUE. Thank you. Also again a highlight of the plastic 16 oz cups making service in this building smooth sailing. -LB
Downstairs ice machine relies on the fan there, so if you see anyone move it, please move it back to face the ice machine unit.-LB
Firing on all cylinders today. -LB
The ice machines are doing their late in the day dance of not making ice. Seems like they just need a little restart, hopefully they will pump out ice overnight. We have depleted the ice stock excessively today.-LB
Customer Comments:
A guest let me know at the end of the night that she found a plastic shard from a container in her burger patty. I obviously apologized and offered to comp the burger, but she insisted it was "all good, [she] just wanted [us] to know." I gave her two passes and she was very appreciative. Her name was Christine. Just want to pass that along to kitchen/prep. - IP
BAR Staff Observations:
Maya was an absolute champ at Trees this morning. I know there have been some notes about her in past blogs, and I rarely get to work with her during Trees brunch, but she has definitely taken the notes provided and her service was exceptional this morning. She kept up with service for Desperately Seeking Susan, and was very proactive about promptly greeting and serving any guests that came through Trees. Matthew, as usual, was a rockstar down in Lobby, holding it down solo throughout brunch.
Greg got in as Trees got its first Superman seating of the day, and he took point on service while Maya toggled between guests and being his back up. Both bars were able to knock out restocks once Gabrielle got in, and sailed into dinner service without issue. JH
So glad to see Maya step up. -LB
Gab, Greg, Lyd and Patty rocked some extremely busy Superman rushes. Jeshua was a dream in the lobby. Cannot overstate how much smoother service is now that soft drinks don't demand constant glass-pint circulation. We still get a little gummed up, but our reset times at the bar have been halved at minimum. Great work all around. - IP
FOH Staff Observations:
FOH Staff Observations:
Kat was the champion of the first round today. While handling her own very sold first round Th7 Superman, she was up at Trees and running trays for Th1/4/6. I don't know if maybe she's hoping to remain in contention for a lead position when they open up again, but she was such a positive presence on all three floors throughout the first round. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Dion got sick and went home early. Feel better! - IP
Staff Meeting Agenda notes: while watching Matthew grab a restock for lobby bar today, makes me think we need to consider the difficulty the new dumbwaiter will add to this situation. I am certain we will figure it out. -LB

I made a super-sized Infinity and Beyond, this will be the last of this until menu change. I also made a Back in the jungle. We could do a smaller batch with the small amount of pineapple molasses left, of if it goes we can make more, but I think we should start winding down on the ones that are going.-LB
I made 6 Lemonades, more Iced tea, a double batch of Don's mix.-LB
Will need to get a moneypenny batched and charging tomorrow. - IP

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Baldor arrived this morning. The missed delivery from Union earlier this week also arrived shortly after we opened. JH
I ordered a case of 14" trays since I broke out the last back stock today.-LB

Maintenance:
Matthew noted that the FWWM frozen machine in the lobby had some issues freezing today. Gus, if you feel like taking a look at this at some point.-LB
At the end of the night Jeshua alerted me that the lobby ice machine was cycling back to flashing "2" - I reset, manually harvested, and then reset again - hopefully it cranks out some ice for the morning. It's about a third full at the moment, so it won't be totally defunct even if it craps out in the middle of the night. - IP
