Manager Communication:

Matthew did 2x batch the Superman special. He came in at 10 and started everything. I was in at 11 so by the time I came in, it was too late. For the future, could we schedule the prep shift either after or at the same time as opening MOD comes in to prevent this. I don't mind if that means I have to come in at 10 for Monday. I think it is also better so that the prep bartender can check in with opening MOD before batching. - AB2 * regarding this schedule, Matthew likes to be done early since it is something he is doing extra. I normally make the list, but Ian helped out. If you can coordinate remotely with them if needed, or they can start with the hard copy list.-LB

I updated counts of Movie specials on Mobilebytes. - AB2

I stuffed the additional 8 menus that were in the liquor room with updated Tree's menu's and leaving for Lauren to delegate where to put the extras. - AB2

I have been running into the card reader in Tree's (Close to bathroom side) being disconnected/not allowing you to pay. It is a quick fix but not sure if everyone knows. -AB *(Would love to learn this)-LB

 

Broke out a case of 12 oz water cups since the frozen coke is a hit. Will order more back ups. I am also breaking out more rocks glasses.-LB

I emptied the Singlecut keg so it can be left in hallway post-line cleaning.-LB

BAR Staff Observations: Gotta reiterate in bar email for them to cut Grapefruit halves not quarters and let them know about the wine kegs appearance being very similar-LB

Bar team dealing with a strange evening in stride. Cut Lydia by 10:15 as Theater 1 is mostly underage. Cut Greg shortly after her as the crowd at Trees was manageable. Natasha and Patrick were an excellent closing duo.-LB

FOH Staff Observations: A brown rack had glassware in it. Lots of grey racks have 12 oz plastic cups. We can't give servers water cups if they don't separate them as we need them as well. I know there are new bodies around but if it can be reiterated to both runners and servers we can circulate drinks/water cups much faster.-LB

The servers tonight were supporting each other really well.  Some really quick flips. All hands on deck helping out. Always happy to see Michael, Erika, Isobel, Torrey, etc.-LB

I have heard that some servers are offering the frozen coke to folks when they order a coke and that they are getting them, cool word of mouth service, bar team appreciates this. I definitely think if we hang on to this item, we should list a second larger size on the adult beverage menu.-LB



Special Events? No Budge/under 20 year old dude convention. 

This back to back situation was challenging, the check in for the phones took a long time and inundated the lobby. Michael was super helpful at keeping the check-in line out of the way of other guests.-LB

We received Baldor and US Foods

Got sodas, I put the 2.5 Gallon Cokes in the walk-in

We got 2 packs of Lemon Juice and one 16 pack of Lime Juice. The Lime Juice was deboxed because kitchen attempted to embezzle but did not prevail (good callout Lauren). Puree's were put in freezer. - AB2

Baldor coming tomorrow.-LB

I ordered a squeegee mop for Trees dishpit since we don't have one now. 

We also received the new shelf for bar prep to go above the sinks-LB
Maintenance:

The middle chamber for the frozen machine in Tree's was leaking the frozen coke. It was very slight and I am unsure of how to fix it. I transferred it over to the other empty chamber. It is leaking very slightly through the spout at pretty much a tear drops pace. - AB2

Ian and I can check out if more lubricant at the front juncture would prevent this when we move the frozens around. We will also be doing two chambers of frozen coke possibly.-LB
