Manager Communication: It feels like there needs to be better communication when something breaks in the building so the next folks have an idea how to fix it. I think this is possibly just a recent phenomenon since we have had the internet outage. Everything seems so tenuous and in the busy moments it feels a bit more chaotic than it needs to.  I am uncertain if any of this is related to our hardware, Cervion, Mobilebytes, or the sockets, perhaps it is time to consider Toast?  I would love a tutorial on more interactive POS fixes so I can help in these instances since the burden feels like it falls on Floor, but having extra hands never hurts.-LB
I know I am partial to Toast and this is because I have more expertise on it, I know the benefits it would provide. I do think an open-minded exploration of options to fix the current issues would be a really positive move to optimize the current system. -LB

Gus I want to go over the transfers to kitchen to make sure I am doing them right. I started a transfer for the case of Bourbon that Stewart grabbed.-LB
I put in for a sponge/holder for bar prep so we can keep our pots and pans squeaky clean.-LB

BAR Staff Observations:

I spoke with Maya this morning about the issues we had been having in the service well about expo-ing tickets.  I said that I would like to see her have a more adaptable and malleable style. We had a really good discourse about it. I would love to chat with Ian and Jenn about expo styles that they use just to try and learn how I can better serve the team. It is not an issue with others, but I am sure I could learn more tips.   I didn't want to spoil the positive take aways from our talk by bringing up some other notes I have, so I will leave those until another day. I was pleased with her openness and professionalism. -LB
Jericho recommends getting an attachment that pushes the gas to the bottom of the kegs for the margarita causing less settling, Gus touch base with him on this mechanical idea. -LB
Tevon was a champion for the team today, batching, getting bars backed up for service before getting out of here shortly before 4. -LB

Darius is a good trainer. He is very thorough and has a lot of good operational knowledge you won't find in the handbook. Did a great job with Fran tonight. Fran is going to fit in great here. Upstairs crew was excellent. Again, Greg, Jericho and Jeshua absolutely crush together. - IP

FOH Observations: Timothy (security)left his half empty family plate in the mise en place at Trees. I told him how to dispose of his plate the other day, so maybe someone else can reach out about some of the more Nitehawk specific notes.-LB

Seconding this - If there is a chance to get Timothy some more direction on how to handle the more common questions and operations in the lobby, we should definitely make that happen. There was some confusion happening when he was directing guests in the lobby - I'm sure that can easily be resolved with a little more guidance. - IP

Hiring/Training:
Fran had day 3 in the lobby. He seemed to do a nice job! He already fits in great with the team, and clearly has bartending chops. He got some good reps on Filmbot and MobileBytes tonight, but expressed that is the only thing he would like some more time with. Darius said he did a good job, but he agreed getting Fran some more time in the lobby running everything solo (with supervision) to get a hang of the elasticity of lobby bar service would be a good idea. Had Darius fill out the binder with today's notes. I filled out the new hire checklist for day 3 but left the notes/feedback reviews box unchecked, as requested. - IP

Special Events?
We had a little birthday party on the mezzanine this afternoon. Raekwon handled the party guests and they were loud but well behaved. Easy clean-up and didn't interfere with any business for the evening. Good stuff! - IP

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: adding pineapple juice to the mixer list and MODs, people are savvy and figure out we have it, so why not just add it to menu/POS.-LB
I think I figured out the leaking crew bottles might be missing the washer that goes on the bottom, say if they were run through the dishwasher. -LB

Prep List:
I had Tevon make some needed items when Jericho arrived. 2 FWWM, 2 branches 1 tree, thermo nuclear, OF keg. -LB Cobra Chai batched-LB

Made a couple of lemonades - tomorrow, we need to make some more Infinty and Beyond - there's plenty in the machines and a 4qt backup in lobby, but none in the walk-in, and Ohana when the Guava comes in. - IP

Lost & Found?: Couple of people stopped by looking for stuff. Can we start a spreadsheet of things we find? Emails we receive? I know it is a lot, but it feels like the entire lost and found system is chaos absent of the credit cards. -LB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 
 A small US Foods order coming tomorrow.-LB
Small Baldor order coming. 

Maintenance: Trees ice machine is emitting a lot of heat as Ian has mentioned. If we can get a report back from Dio and Ice Medic so we can know what was done/what to look for. I have fear it needs another appointment with a doctor.-LB

Bar team emptied the ice machines fully before 11p so they were ready for a check-up from the Ice Medic. The guys are doing their magic as I write this. Praise be! Hopefully we get a positive report very soon. 
The Ice Medics were still at work when we were all wrapped up - there is a chance that the can liners/tea/sugar caddies/etc (stuff on or near the ice machine at trees lounge) will be out of place tomorrow morning. If that is the case, it was not the closer - it was because of the ice machine servicing - sorry for the inconvenience! - IP

I cleaned the containers we store equipment in at bar prep, these often get over-looked.-LB

Mobilebytes Issues: As mentioned above.-LB
