Manager Communication: 

It seems like lobby bar's trash and recycling was left by the porter team. 

If we can donate the walker in the lost and found it is difficult to get to the soda shelf with all that stuff there. -LB

The lobby lowboy is leaking fluid that isn't clear. I think Markenson or Vlad needs to pull them out and clean the backs of them. The leak is a DOH violation and possibly indicative that the lowboy needs maintenance.-LB I spoke with Vlad and he confirmed Markenson did clean behind this lowboy, so Gus perhaps we need to have someone take a look and confirm it isn't losing coolant or something.-LB

***Stewart pointed out to me that the carafes keep ending up in the kitchen because they are too tall to stack in the racks, I think a good solution would be for servers on the first floor bring the carafes to the bar for hand washing.  Same goes for any carafes at the end of the night that might go down to the kitchen, bring them to the bar instead. If this seems adequate, Carly could you include this in the service email? Thanks.***

I refreshed the mango syrup, ketchup and mayo at trees lounge with new bottles and product.-LB

Fire tincture is back at both bars, so bartenders can spice it up for folks-LB

Pretty steady evening, with Trees having a nice trickle of guests throughout the cold, rainy evening. JH

Customer Comments: 

A very adorable new New Yorker came in today with such enthusiasm. She thinks this place is so cool. I am going to comp them a popcorn-LB

BAR Staff Observations: 

Lydia left objects in dishwasher that leads me to believe they don't adequately check this upon departure.-LB

Tevon is a godsend helping clean the frozen machines today.-LB

Both bars sailed through the second round, and openers got each bar restocked and set for a busy third round before they got out of here.  Lobby gate came down at 10pm, but Jeshua stayed in service until Th5's 10:30pm last call, as I waited until then to route the first floor since Sinners is still selling really well.  Both Gabrielle and Jeshua closed each bar without issue. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 

As we approach Dumbwaiter 2: Electric Boogaloo (This time...It's in bar prep), I think we should definitely get back into the habit of keeping the liquor room door locked when there is no bar staff in the bar prep area.  I will make sure that both bars are set up with keys tomorrow (and a back up in the office for when the bar keys inevitably end up leaving the building with a bartender), and will mention it in this week's email. JH

Gabrielle mentioned that at our next bar meeting, we should map out and reinforce the organization of the upper cabinets at Trees Lounge.  Not only for consistency in product and stocking, but also so that newer bartenders are aware of where to look to find supplies during service. JH

Maintenance: 

I think using a shorter glass shelf in the lobby would help the frozen machines work better. The heat can't rise because the shelf is there. -LB

I am going to paint and rewrite the A-frame next week to refresh the look.-LB
