Manager Communication: Threes fob is truly difficult. I tried a bunch to push the flow apparatus down but it is stuck. I have limited dexterity when it comes to this strength. WD-40 would be my guess, but don't want to oil up something that does not need it. -LB

Tonight would have been easier to manage with another manager in light of the fact we have no security guard and an event with a lot of cusp-21 year olds and a Final Destination film.  It is not desirable to keep an opener this late, but I could have used Lydia as well, with a large gap of dead time.  

Firstly, there was no mention to me that people in this screening were getting tokens to use this evening. When Theater 1 let out and 2 was seating I opted to send Jericho up and take the lobby. I would not have done that if I knew I would need to discount 11 checks in a short period, putting a strain on Dion and James. Very inconvenient choice for the staffing of the evening but all in all not the worst. Mind you the lobby was a virtual party for 30 minutes and lots of people coming and going. 

There was a customer in theater 3 that had outside food. I was working at the lobby bar and told Kat that I would tell them they had to go if the last warning to put the stuff away was ignored. As soon as I went up to Trees to let Jericho start on his lobby close, MODs were walkied. I spoke to him. He did not want to come out. So I took his outside food and drink, told him he could have it back outside the theater. He came out. Took the stuff and I grabbed Jericho from lobby bar since he was already escalating.  He was walking down the ramp and we each had our hands up to prevent him from knocking us over and proceeding back into the theater. Ultimately, he went to get his bag. Then ate his food in the hallway. While trying to start a fight with Jericho, me, then Jericho.  I stepped between this dumb staredown and asked him calmly to proceed outside as we made it clear the terms of our theater.  Then I got him mostly outside, but he left his bag in the lobby. I locked the doors. I used the name that purchased the tickets thanks to James helping out with that intel.  I told him if he didn't want his friend who bought the tickets to never be allowed back to NH he should let me close the door.  He did.  Later his friend  left theater finally, asked to speak to me, I checked his ID and told him I would not be putting him no any 86 list for NH, but he should remind his friend we are a restaurant and everyone is just doing their job the best they can.  It got heated in the hallway as it always does with this kind of dumb situation.  Jericho is wonderful and very professional in this manner. I hit up Quetzie, Kat and Jericho for handling this situation well. I also hit up Maya and especially Greg for cranking out the Trees Mayhem. 

Greg is probably the Employee of the season, he did have a 'tude on the walkie because he was frustrated that we couldn't come do the guest token discounts (as these are time sensitive vs staff discounts).  I think being weeded with a lower presence of our back up probably seemed very difficult. Dion explained in a succinct manner.  James and Dion are the A-team I want every night when we are understaffed.-LB

AB please test the rescrewed sink heads after rinsing the frozens. I got soaked by a sprinkler situation.-LB

Customer Comments: A woman leaving Final Destination early because it was too scary said the food was all great, but still didn't tip. And we bought her a sundae that she did not like. I think our goodwill in this regard goes unnoticed.  -LB

BAR Staff Observations: Maya needs a reminder of how to work as a team. The ticket pulling is an issue again.-LB 

Lydia got out of here after NO Budge sat.  I think she could and should unstock more glassware during the day and while she just leans on the POS. -LB 
Maya does not know where the first aid kit is located at Trees and had to walkie MOD for a bandaid for a customer, this is literally the first thing I train any bartender at any place I have ever worked, how does she not know. If it isn't where it belongs, I understand, I will check and let her know where it usally lives.-LB

Maya walked cause she wanted to get air at 11:30 since she didn't get a break today, she got here at 5. It is 6.5 hours in and we are about to close. She thought she could walk off because everyone was closed out. I told her I can't have the bar unattended and have no security and I am currently busy.  This to me is an irrational request and I am dumbfounded.-LB

 
FOH Staff Observations:

Hiring/Training: gotta move Jericho off training on 7shifts, but I have yet to learn the nuance of this last frontier. -LB

Pretty rocking. Might be certain days that some porters are on, that haven't gotten into the swing of it. But it could be they don't have enough dollies. There are two at the dishpit at Trees and one in the liquor room empty.  -LB

Maintenance:

Dio came in today. I sent an email regarding everything. To sum it up, they cleaned the compressor inside the walk-in, they said they did not need to see the compressor on the roof, and upon leaving, one of the guys told me that the outside temperature gauge read at 36 when the temperature was at 35. Something to monitor. - AB2

I am defrosting and deep cleaning the bar prep freezer. It smells like a clean hamster cage inside. -LB

Mobilebytes Issues: perhaps a work around for specific discounts for bar team when dire, like stated above.-LB
