Manager Communication:
Busy in Th1 from the start, and then the second round screenings definitely ramped up service.  Th1 was sold out all day, and it looks to be similar tomorrow, so make sure openers are set with stocking and glassware. JH

1 and 2 were fully sold out all night and it was a blistering service. The bar was packed and then both of the big the big theaters dovetailed their rushes. Glassware got dangerously low but we never fully ran out and the servers and runners were stellar with glassware circulation. We are going through an insane amount of product, so keeping eyes on product level and proactively batching are very much a neccessity. - IP

Customer Comments:
Had a guest in the 2:30pm Th3 Ochi who said that the theater was too cold.  We adjusted the temperature, but she decided to leave after the theater did not heat up quick enough.  I met her at Lobby to close her out, but she did not have her tickets or remember her seat number, so I had to check each table to find her tab.  She was frustrated that I could not find her table instantly, and then when presented with the check she got pretty upset because I didn't "comp her fucking tea" and threw her $6 in my general direction.  I would not be surprised if she emails in a further complaint. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Great vibes at both bars today.  Matthew pretty much crushed Lobby solo, as all hands were needed at Trees once one o'clock rolled around.  The in-times for the mids today (1:00pm + 3:00pm) worked for service today, and are the same for tomorrow, which looks like it is already selling similarly.  I had both openers make restock lists before the Lobby Mid got in.  This way, Maya was able to grab everything for both bars right after the second round Th2 service push settled down.  Service was steady at Trees for the afternoon, and Trees filled up with lots of folks just as Gabrielle got in at three.  #LadyBar at Trees navigated service with ease, and Matthew was really great about providing citrus support.  Had both bars make restock lists before closers got in, and they were good to go for the dinner rounds. JH

Once the closers came in, the bars got restocked and reset and then right after family meal we got Matthew and Natasha out of here. I swung Jeshua upstairs for the monster 1/2 combo rush, and Maya was a beast in the lobby. Once we got a little break between the dinner round rush and the last sold out 1 screening, the team reset again, I moved Jeshua back to the lobby and Maya got outta here. Gab, Greg and Lydia did a wonderful job with as busy a night as I've seen in a while. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
LaShae was an angel when we were beginning to run low on glassware. I was too busy expo'ing at the service pass to consistently devote time to the growing stack of dirty glasses, so LaShae took the spare moments she had when not supporting the crazy rush to run them through. I am always extremely grateful to have her presence at the service bar. - IP

Special Events?
The kids birthday party on Mezz were very happy to celebrate their friend's birthday, but unfortunately their volume disturbed several Trees guests who quickly asked to close their checks.  The guests were not rude or upset, and completely understood that groups of kids will generally be noisy, but the birthday song was screeched at top volume and we lost a couple of sales because of it.  Perhaps we could include some verbiage in big group/mezz kids parties to remind the adults to be mindful of noise? JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
I think we should turn the thermostats at both bars (lobby 1/2, trees, + mezz) to 70° cool, as 73° keeps it kind of muggy and toasty.  I placed them on temporary holds today. JH

Prep List:
Once the building was opened, I was able to get through some batching before the first round Th1 Sinners opened.  Was unable to get to the OF keg that kicked last night, but everything else looked set for the evening rounds. JH

We are flying through so much product. We were stocked to the gills at both bars and in the walk-in when I came in (thank you for that, Jenn!!), and before the last Sinners rush was even over I had to pop back to batch more stuff. I was able to get to the OF Keg - I also made more lemonade, bloody mix, cobra chai, and transferred the Can You Dig It batch Jenn made into the Ford's bottles. We are really rockin! - IP

Tomorrow the most pressing batching items will be a large batch of more demerara syrup, a fresh margarita keg (just hooked up the new keg around 9p - there will be plenty of time to throw one together before it's dire. - IP

Pay Outs:
$40.00 (kitchen trail) JH
