Customer Comments:
Lots of strange, kinda aggro energy from the VOLO people tonight. They play rec softball, they're not the Yankees - like, relax y'all. Just noting it here because I know they are a regular presence, so we need to set some parameters for their specials/expectations. Some of them get pretty rude with the bar staff when things aren't concretely defined for them. If it's clearly communicated to everyone, there's far less room for frustration. - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
The VOLO surprise coincided with the sold out Sunset Boulevard screening, so Greg stuck around to help out Lydia and Gab with the sudden pop. They did a great job managing a quick storm of a rush out of nowhere, all the while Jeshua was cruising in the lobby. Great work all around. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Nithya spilled a cranberry juice and two sodas on a mom and two kids in the 4:30 Minecraft. I was alerted by Shane and immediately went into the theater to check on them. I brought a bunch of towels so they could dry themselves off, and cleaned up their seats and table. I apologized and gave them passes and let them know we would be making sure their bill reflected the unfortunate circumstance (fortunately all of this was during preshow, so it was not terribly disruptive to other guests). The mom was annoyed but understanding and we moved on without further incident - I'm writing because throughout the whole situation, Nithya was calmly hanging at the service pass chatting with the bar team, apparently giving no thought at all about checking in to make sure that the situation was being handled.  Not five minutes later, as I was finishing cleaning up in the service station, Kat was entering with a full tray of drinks - I said "Drinks coming in" and Nithya spun around and knocked the whole tray out of Kat's hands. I took control of the situation and had everyone clear the area so I could squeegee the liquid into the drain and then radioed for Markenson to pop up and make sure everything was all good. Again, there was zero check-in from Nithya, nor any apology or accountability taken for the incident that was handled by myself, Markenson and Kat. I mentioned this to the floor managers and I believe Dion spoke with Nithya - I do not believe there was any malice, but when things go wrong like that, a little proactivity goes a long way. - IP

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Ariel is out sick.

Special Events?
Sunset Boulevard was a sell-out and had a decent pre-show crowd. We had a bonus VOLO appearance, which was a nice little bump of business for an otherwise sleepy Monday. On that note, their season has begun and they will be pulling up every Monday. I don't know if there is a protocol in place for them - but whatever it is, let's get it codified so we can inform the Monday bar team. - IP
